  • Zion Williamson of the NBA New Orleans Pelicans underwent surgery for a torn meniscus in the right knee and is now expected to miss 6-8 weeks. I was concerned about his long term health and possible injury risk and now there are more things we need to be thinking about when it comes to possible knee injuries and other injuries for Zion Williamson down the road.

    • @jdelgado216

      Watch him land, move, run, etc... No extreme movements, his landing decrease the impact on his kness by properly landing plus the guy invest a hell lot of money in his body. Lebron is a lot of things but he knows how to take care of his body

      craig gomez it’s really doing those little things. Not being flashy. Just fast. Lebron is not at all a weak man, but he doesn’t do things through brute athleticism and strength. It’s very deceptive speed. He does things very fast, not very strong, which are two different things.

    • @wswann34
      @wswann34 4 ปีที่แล้ว +115

      Yeah like everyone said, its his landing and basic/non flashy play style. He moslty lands on both legs but if he lands on one, he back pettles to even out the impact.

    Dr. Suterer I literally go Chills when I heard of Zion's injury having seen your "I'm Concerned About Zion" video. Unfortunately, the only factor that he can control directly is his weight, since no one can choose skeleton type or how their feet strike as they walk. Love your reseach based approach. I hope that this guy gets to play for a while and is'nt forced to retire pematurely due to injury and chronic suffering like Andrew Luck😉😉

Put that size to use.

    • @BabyBron14

      I think you did too much here. He is a great player. He needs to learn to stop being flashy, he just needs to learn how land properly, lose weight, and he needs to be careful with all the crazy dunks he been doing. I think the pelicans need to put him on the bench so he can be 100%. This is a great player he just needs to be concern like I said earlier.

    Thanks for the info doc! This is highly informative I hope Zion is able to recover healthy and come back strong but after all the concern about his injuries it’s hard to see a bright future for the kid. The way he was dominating in preseason was exiting to watch he kind of reminds me of a mini shaq but with good handles and impeccable post scoring. Most people who believe he will be fine where he is physically(heavy weight) are subjective because they don’t understand how the human body can deteriorate from the type of load he carries around him.
