I have watched several vids and no one explains where the upper clips go into as well as the metal clip from the old mirror. Except this had a few good shots which made sense finally. Thanks
The upper plastic clips are two on each side, attached to the mirror, with tabs facing out. They snap into slots on the motorized receiver. Don't pull too hard or you will damage the motorized part. Start with the outer upper tabs. If it doesn't pull away easily, take a long skinny flat blade screwdriver and poke down on the upper plastic tab and up on the lower tab. Wiggle and repeat until it pops loose. Repeat for the upper inner tabs. For the lower plastic hooks, move the mirror back and forth a few times then try to get it to pop up. If it doesn't come easily, carefully rotate the motorized tilt upward and try again. Hold the mirror carefully and pull out any connectors. Once the mirror is free, the metal clips from the old mirror can be pushed out of their slots with a screwdriver. Push them into the new mirror slots by hand. Installation is the reverse. Replace connectors, and get the lower plastic hooks to seat firmly in the slots. Line up the metal clips so that the mirror can be pushed further in. Rotate the motorized receiver down and in. Push the metal clips on the mirror part inward a little to get it to fit. You should see marks or grease from where they were. From there, line up all four plastic tabs on the upper slots carefully. If they are lined up, it should push in smoothly and snap in place. It helps to take pics along the way. Before you take something apart take a pic before and after every time you remove something. Make sure the thing you removed is in the second pic.

We missed some of the angles but helped me enough to feel confident in replacing my mirror 👍

The top metal clips , Its a little hard to see exactly....do they slide into 2 slots or just slide by plastic tabs?? Thanx for a good video
The Tint is liquid. Mine has drained out and left a smear across the mirror that will not come off. Thanks Dodge.
