I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer 2 weeks ago, one of my lungs has a mass and the bottom lobe has collapsed and the other lung has nodules which they presume are cancerous, it’s squamous non small cell, I’m 60 and haven’t smoked for 10 years, waiting to see oncologist to discuss treatment. Absolutely terrified.
I was diagnosed 2 years ago with stage 3 lung cancer. I went through Chemo & radiation treatments. As of now I am stable & very thankful. I know how terrified you feel. Your emotions are all over the place. I still struggle some days but please don't give up. We can beat this ! 🙏 8:07
Thank you for sharing your story. GPs also need to see your story to help them understand that never smokers are also at risk of lung cancer. I wish you well.
Thank you for sharing your story, Peter. It will help many people. So glad that you have a mutation that qualifies you for immunotherapy, and I hope that it continues to work well for you.
Hi Peter,I’m 81 years old and I have much the same story,I was diagnosed in August 2021 with lung cancer and have been on the same treatment as you Osiminertnib,Tagreeso, I can relate to everything you have said ,re non smoker and DRs also the feelings you have when people say you look really good. The Oncology team at QA are amazing .So ,well done for this great video of your journey and wish you all the best .
Thanks to Peter for sharing his story. I live in Portsmouth and have had similar symptoms. I'm on my second course of antibiotics for a chest infection that just won't shift. Peters story has led me to check in with the doctor and bring forward the idea of getting a chest x-ray. Thoughts are with Peter and his family. I live in Portsmouth also.
I’ve had breathing and couching for the last 7 months. Two months into it I was hospitalized for 3 days. The called it COPD. I had scans and exrays nothing showed up. I saw a cardio who said my heart was fine. Then to a pulmonologist. Was given inhalers. Back to the cardio he immediately put me on oxygen. It helps. My pulmonary dr wanted another chest scan. Well we’ll they see a mass, then off to pet scan, now there are 2 masses. Had a biopsy showed dead tissue. Was given antibiotics again. I was referred to a thoracic surgeon. I kept calling for weeks and they claim they don’t have an authorization to be seen. Back and forth with pulmonary dr to send the authorization. Nothing happened. Finally last week the surgeons office called me she found out I don’t need authorization. Saw him last week. He looked at all my scans and wanted to do VATS surgery asap. Today I did my prepping from dr. Chest X-ray labs ekg etc. in two days I go to hospital to preregister. My surgery is in 6 days. Why on earth did it take these pros 7 months to get me help?
I think the overwhelming issue is that GPs want an easy time, and don't think out of the box. Delays in diagnosis seem to be a very common thing these days. Having been through the 2WW system and not getting anywhere has left me wondering what GPs and consultants actually learnt during their training.
GP ‘s need to prove it ! Infection ? Prove it ! They’re doctors Use the Science !!! GP please stop being a pharmacists . Prove Before you yah yah take this . Bye bye
Hi Peter … I have just been diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung cancer a couple of days ago. Following a persistent cough which started in around mid 2020 and various checks at the dr, I had a chest x ray in Sept 2021 which came back clear so they thought I may have allergies and gave me antihistamines which didn’t really help. It was then picked up following a further chest X-ray about 5 weeks ago when having a COPD check (after being on a waiting list at the hospital for 6 months following referral from my GP). They then found the pleural effusion. They drained my lung and confirmed cancerous cells in the fluid but also there is something in my lung. Other than a persistent cough I had no other symptoms up until a few weeks ago. Its all come as a complete shock, my emotions are all over the place, I’m not sleeping well and now having difficulty breathing. I’m praying it hasn’t spread further. It’s all happening so quick. Now waiting for oncology to decide on my treatment. X
Your story sounds very similar to mine. I was diagnosed October 2021 at age 53. Had panic attacks day and night, so much so that I wasn't sure how much longer I could live like that. I thought life would never get back to normal but strangely, it did get back to some normality. I do have my moments but life is easier now where my emotions are concerned. Hang in there. My thoughts are with you.
@@coffeehead68 thanks for your reply. I am sorry to hear that you are going through this too. Since I posted, I have seen the oncologist and I start chemo/immuno therapy in a week and a half’s time. I’m not quite so anxious now, sleeping better and am I’m starting to get my ahead around this a bit more. I am determined to fight it for as long as I can and take all the treatment I can possibly have and even hope a miracle can happen. All the best to you x
I asked for a scan in Jan, eventually got one after coughing up blood while in hospital end April. 24 May still not started treatment. A day feels like a week when waiting in answers.
The only thing that made me look into it was my buddy came down with cancer and he was a heavy drinker, I only drank beer and had a persistent cough and sure shit I had the cough and cancer too even though I never touched tobacco products it's in everything we touch day to day all we can do is try to protect ourselves best we can. Never give up hope until they are throwing dirt on you.
Humbly appreciate your kind gesture Dr Igho, you have always been able to help with any of my health issues, i didn't know there was a way to Cure Cancer with herbs naturally, but I'm happy to say today that I'm glad to have you as my doctor because it just seems like magic
You helped me Eradicate my Disease completely with your herbal remedies and gave me comfort when all hope was lost, Thanks DrIgho, you are a Great doctor and I will always recommend your good work to the world.
Im very sorry for late diagnosis. People rave about how great socialized medicine is and it has its benefits..but the level of care is suspect..as in this case.
Thank you so much Dr Igho for your full dedication am very happy and proud to come across your TH-cam channel. Your medications is indeed incomparable, my four years cancer disappeared completely within 15 days of usage and without any side effects, keep saving lives doctor.
Just got diagnosed and told it's very curable: lung adenocarcinoma. Having pet scan in a week, Oct. 9, and then hoping to get to see oncologist before Oct. 17 if there's a cancellation.
