You could have walked that distance by now, brother. I really enjoyed your channel with all its quirks. As for being at the top of my subscription list and never seeing a post....I wish you the best! seeya
We’ll I’ve just found you again on your electric car adventure! You must be a gluten for punishment dude! Love your never say die attitude, gives me faith that there still some people out there willing to go on adventures! Rock on dude!
I'm a "gluten for punishment", as I love bagels and pizza, but I'm gluten intolerant. But I don't eat it for that reason... hey, I'm not a GLUTTON for punishment, you know.
Hey Trevor! Been following you since the houseboat. Bought a boat and watching your videos gave me some good ideas for stops along the ICW. I pulled into Lady’s Island Marina nearly 3 years ago inspired your adventures. Long story short, I’m now the Director of Operations of LIM. If you ever find yourself in the area again (by boat or otherwise), would love to meet you and maybe do a return video. Either way, enjoy the videos man!
Can't wait for your next update!! I wonder if you were able to make it to Arizona? Since the gap between stations is about 100 miles. Great content though!
Damn 2 days to go 275 miles. When I got my new job I went in one straight shot from where I live in Pennsylvania to Georgia, 820 miles. Only stopped for fuel once half way. Yeah the Prius was probably the right car to buy for the moment. Would love an Aptera when that comes out though.
Well this is both a painful and exciting adventure! You always push the envelope, which is really fun. Well, to watch! I hope the battery continued to "condition" itself with multiple charging cycles, which it seems so far to be doing. What is especially valuable here, I think, is this look at the hairy edge of EV car ownership, charging and driving. Your car and battery are at the edge of its considered lifespan, many batteries seem to be replaced by 10 years, or need to be. And so you answer the questions no one else is, or will... such as what can we get out of these cars when older? When batteries are not perfect anymore? How far can we go? How will the charging network handle fringe vehicles? Not all of us have $60k plus to plunk down on a new EV every three years. You are delving into territory that is not usually covered by anyone, that many would wonder about. But stay safe! I was at the edge of my seat when you were creeping along on the highway, near the end of your range! Scary stuff. EDIT TO ADD: I know you know this, Trevor, but I found it interesting that the EPA only rated this for an 88 mile range... meaning that your 87 mile range that day was probably pretty good! It was cold, too... so. Anyway, the Wikipedia page for the Coda states, "EPA's official range is 88 mi (142 km). Coda Automotive estimated the range to be up to 125 mi (201 km) under favorable operating conditions." Your weather, dipping into the 30's, was probably not considered "favorable". So maybe you are cranking out close to the expected, new car, range on your Coda?
Trev, all kidding aside, you can not drive on our interstate highways at 40 mph. You will get yourself killed. And maybe someone else too. I'm really hoping in the next installment, we find you shipped the car to FL. It's the safe and sane thing to do.
I will second that. Consistent driving at 35-40mph on an interstate (unless you are stuck in traffic) is an accident waiting to happen. You are a danger not only to yourself but also to those around you.
I hope you are ok . I bought a Nissan Leaf for £4000 last year with the idea of using the motor and the battery from the car. I now have a 40ft catamaran that needs completing and will be a solar boat, however it will use EPropulsion Navy 6 outboards so no need for the Nissan Leaf anymore.
Life has been pretty crazy recently but I have a good amount of time to edit now. It takes daaaays for each one but I’m going to knock them out and get back on the water. I’m happy with how this one shaped up though!
Trevor, I'm pretty sure that the honking isn't to cheer you on and the finger they're holding up isn't to encourage you to go one more mile! While I enjoy your videos, your boating adventure was much more fun. You and Jess (sorry for stirring up old ghosts) had the right youtube chemistry to make the channel take off. Maybe you'll get into the groove again with something in the future. We'll be hoping & waiting!
Hi Trevor, if I understand correctly from your trip is that you were able to increase the range from 50 miles to 87? If so, did you manage to increase it further?
Glad you made it to (I'm assuming) Florida! Love watching the videos. I live in KH Landing only one street over from where you bought the catamaran! Me and my buddies loved watching you sail to FL. Keep making videos! @@9to5less
I cannot wait for you to get back on the water. I it will be abot that is diesel powered. You need to forget about this ev shit. Even when it is working perfect it is only good for short hops, even in a boat.
I have been waiting for the next video for 3 months. Please don't disappoint your viewers.
may we suggest..... next video, you made it, drove it off a pier and back to boating..... stay safe, Tim and Cat

Thank you for taking us on your adventure.
Let those who complain take the plane. I hear it's faster than an EV when there's no airport strikes.

You should carry a gas generator for that car
Must have broke down on the road somewhere. Someone give him a pull.

I suggest you go purchase a gas powered generator. LOL

Are there going to be new Coda episodes? Such an adventure!

Next project you need to buy, restore and fly an airplane!

This trip started 7 months ago. You must be home by now. But editing video must not be much fun. Did you end up shipping the Coda?

When looking for charging stations, just look for libtards with Bernie stickers on the back.
It isn’t stolen jewelry, it is a gypsy scam.
Need to stop at Harbor Freight and get a small generator
Ya - u could bolt a gas generator to the hood of your car and run it while u drive the “electric” car.
I wish! Unfortunately the car can’t be on while charging
What up my friend??? Where are you these days. Your videos are important, and we need an update...Please!!!

This is a great anti-electric car video.
He’s driving like the first electric car with a bad battery. No where near a modern ev
Probably wishing you didn't buy it. But, I'm still a fan. Been following you like many others on here for a few years now.
The life of someone that drives and electric car.
Truth
Put some pedals on it or get a gas motor for that pos 🙂
Pedals would be awesome!!
It's kind of hard to see a whole lot when you're filming in the dark
Hey man why are you dragging your feet really like the videos
You're back?
Yep!! Things have been pretty crazy recently but I’m going to try to knock out these car videos and get back to boats! I miss being on the water
Glad you made it to (I'm assuming) Florida! Love watching the videos. I live in KH Landing only one street over from where you bought the catamaran! Me and my buddies loved watching you sail to FL. Keep making videos! @@9to5less
When did you change from boats to cars?
When I decided to buy this car for the batteries to put into the boat. I’ll be back on the water soon! I miss it!
@9to5less glad your back.
Gas or electric, its a rush to run on empty in the middle of nowhere and arriving with little to no power.
I cannot wait for you to get back on the water. I it will be abot that is diesel powered. You need to forget about this ev shit. Even when it is working perfect it is only good for short hops, even in a boat.
Buy a small generator lol
Hahahaha. That thought did cross my mind
Soooooooo painfully long between vid's.
Run that thing hard and fast and charge it slow.
I’ll definitely charge it slow
'Promo sm' 😳
Buy you a notherone such fine cars
Single handedly making everyone around you hate EV’s 😂 🫣👍
