- In this episode I fly out to Los Angles to pickup my 2012 Coda EV and start preparing it for a drive across the country back to the east coast. I also learn more about the Solo EV and finally get to test drive it. People walking by all wanted to know what it is and one lady wanted her picture with it and even played us a song on her Ukulele.

I hope a video is coming soon, documenting your return trip. I can not imagine how you plan a trip with an EV that has a 130 mile range. Can you tell us about the Coda's charging speed? And does it DC fast charge?

From the reading I did, it's apperently based on the '97-01 Mirage's platform.
I've seen that exact Solo driving around in that town because I live 2 blocks from that guy.

*All the Solos are being permanently recalled/bought back by the factory.* They can't figure out why some of them have a sudden complete loss of power while driving.

That is groovy that your gonna or are in the middle of, or completed your tour across the countryside in your very portable mobile music studio.
I bought a J2 from Jinma, i like their newer J4 though too that they just began selling. Tiny slow moving electric car to save money not having to pay auto insurance premiums, being exempt because it moves slower and wont be on major highways. However, the same as with farming vehicles, one can drive slowly at the edge of the road, and pulling over to allow traffic to pass by is to be expected. 10 miles to the nearest grocery store around here, and starvation never causes people to float off to a fancy happy place, even if there are music artists on car radios that indicate their wanting to pretend driving fast into a tree makes for greener pastures.

Oh wow you have a J2? Those things are cool!! Yea it seems like the slower you go the better the range is. That drag is exponential kinda like with boats. I’m the slowest car on the road lol

I'm sorry but your definitely not making it across the United States in that car...... Every 40 minutes of driving you're going to have to stop and charge, probably for 45 minutes, sadly the non Tesla charging network is not even close to you making it
