Hands-down the best interview of Larry King I've ever seen. Well done, Dave.

One can tell that these two have some history together. This was the most seamless I've seen in a while. And for a guy who has seen Larry King on TV for years, yet knows nothing about the actual MAN, I left with a lot more respect for both of you.

Thanks for the comment. Larry has been a big supporter of mine and he was so great I literally didn't look at my notes once! --- dave

I got up and left my computer after watching the full interview finding myself feeling somewhat euphoric I enjoyed Larry king's response and Dave's questioning.

"my opinion is irrelevant... I'm here to learn.. I left my ego at the door..." O'Reilly and Piers Morgan could learn a lot from this man. Great interview Dave and Larry.

Nice interview Dave Rubin. This is my first watching of the Rubin Report. I'm going to throw out some constructive criticism. I sensed a couple times that Larry wasn't done with his answer and you interrupted him like you were going to move on to another question to which he ended up returning. It's nothing egregious or anything but something to consider when interviewing a legend.

I think it is pretty cool that Larry King has not continued to work despite losing his show to Morgan.

The reason for all of this is a result of the deregulation of the broadcasting market and destroying things like The Equal Time Rule and The Fairness Doctrine. News organizations didn't make much money up until the '80's. They had to tell the news by law - ratings were irrelevant. It's important for us to remember history. We can go back to that if we're able to somehow get money out of politics and have representatives who represent the people again and not the corporations.

The Telecommunications Act of 1996 was the final nail in the coffin. That same year: we have the birth of Fox News. Before the Telecommunications Act of 1996, an entity like Fox News was against the law.

Frederick Sanger (a British biochemist who won the Nobel Prize twice) died at 95 last year. Could he possibly be the guy Larry quotes at 25:05 ???

Although I agree with the whole unnecessary coverage of the Malaysia airplane, I didn't like it when Larry King commented about there only being 3 Americans on that plane , it kind of makes it seem as if only Americans being considered people.

it makes sense that real news dont get attention. If all news agencies are corporations dependent on income from those who have the money, advertisers, there is not really much else to do. An alternative could be professional public media, sponsored by tax money - that is if we want to have better news. There is always money, maybe instead of using the money on the army, public media instead?=)

When we look back in 10 years, hopefully from a more intelligent position, and see all the stories major news networks didn't cover due to speculation about a plane that ended up in the ocean...what an embarrassment for this generation. And those were just SOME of the stories missed.
