I love it!!! I love how he actually did not turn the interview around and interview you. I have seen him do it before to others. Good on you Mr. Rae. I could listen to the King's voice all day long.
This interview was amazing. Thanks Kerwin. I dont know if you read your comments, but I hope someone does and passes this on. Obviously this was a thrill for you, but it was a thrill for me to get this interview.
wow, truly captivating. So much golden nuggets to take away from. Biggest learning was not being prepared for the interview as being prepared makes you less curious as you already know the answer. Very interesting take aways. Thank you Kerwin for interviewing Larry with these types of questions!
Larry King's 12 ideas: 1. Listen. 2. Don't research your guest, because this induces bias and reduces things to talk about. 3. Be into the person of the day, on the day. 4. Be empathetic. 5. Be accepting, unbiased and accepting. 6. Found out what made the person who they are. 7. Ask short questions. 8. Don't have an agenda. 9. Make the guest feel as if the camera isn't there. 10. Don't be late, don't lie and don't overly rely upon others. 11. Basic questions: who, what, when, where, why? 12. Be entertaining by being informing.
