Got back from Oahu about 3 weeks ago, I made sure not to miss Lanikai beach based solely off of this video. Can't thank you enough, got there relatively early, I think it was around 9-10 am, we were able to park on a street really close to a beach access path about 30 seconds away, having a movie quality setting basically to ourselves was a highlight of the trip. My wife and 2 older boys hiked the trail behind the beach and checked out the pillboxes, my daughter and I stayed at the beach and snorkeled, a Sea Turtle was hanging out near us! (made sure to not get too close of course) Anyone going to Oahu make sure to hit Lanikai Beach, you won't regret it.

You need to warn people how hard it is to get an online entry ticket for hanauma bay. Or you drive there at 6:45 am to wait in line to drive in to wait in line to get an entry time to wait in line to pay and then one more line for the instructional movie before going down to the beach with hundreds of other people snorkeling. It’s beautiful but extremely crowded in real life.

Absolutely right! I’m the oldest days we kids just hop in a car and drive down. Now…impossible to get in! I’d pay for a tour guide to take you. Much easier getting in that way !

😮 I would not recommend the Olomana Trail unless you are an experienced hiker. Remember, six people have died up there in the past ten years. And it is not worth it just to get "likes" on You Tube. I would recommend boots, not tennis shoes and some gloves, as you will have to pull yourself up on some ropes, too. And don't forget to bring snacks and at least 2~3 liters of water. Hydrate before you hike. If you're not peeing by 10 AM, then you are dehydrated. Mahalo.

There are no snakes in the ocean in Hawaii. There are eels. Big difference. If you don’t bother the eels. They usually don’t bother you. Snakes you just gotta be in there area. This is what makes Hawaii epic. No predictors.sharks yes. But, on land no snakes either. Sad though some think they’re special and try to sneak that in. If you know , then you don’t do that. Locals not amused including this one.
