This keytar looks AMAZING!!! One of my current dream instruments right now!
Awesome video! Thank you Jeff
Amazing and sounds great! Thanks for the demo and tutorial, Jeff.
Thanks!
hey Jeff thanks for great tutorial video. your playing is awesome
Thanks!
This is great, thanks for sharing it. I'm looking to buy a keytar soon, and this one looks like a good invest!
great feel sir
So, is this true that this instrument holds a note and keeps it suspended and so messes up every live performance? That could be a serious deal breaker. I've read most of the buyers are taking it back because of this *major* issue, can anyone confirm? I'd like to have reliable info before going into purchasing one.
Thank you! :)
Nice work on the Alesis Vortex, Jeff Gastineau is the Output signal coming out of your PC plug in on a Audio Interface like the Behringer U-Phoria UMC202HD or what conections do you use from the Pc to amplifier.
I'm using an M-Audio audio interface from the computer.
Nice Sound! Is the Output signal that goes into the amp coming out of the Keytar or Coming out of your PC?...
The Alesis Vortex is strictly a controller, no built-in sounds or sound card capability. All sounds are being generated by plugins on the computer.
Hi Jeff....what is the name of the Feedback VST? Is it part of the Amp Sim program or a separate VST to purchase?
It's just a simple feedback sample running in Kontakt, then running thru the amp sim and effects along with the guitar samples. You can get really close with a simple sine wave sample if you don't have a feedback sample. Have it fade in after a few seconds.
so... where did you get this "guitar feedback pure" instrument?

Hi Jeff I only got one question... Does it work with the iTrack Dock? cause if it does I'm sold.
I don't know the answer for sure, but if so you would need a camera adapter to convert from USB to 30 pin or Lightning.
thanks dude, the iTrack dock uses a usb port for keyboards or other midi controlers will give it a shot and let you know... will take some time as I live in Barbados and getting one of these units will be difficult cost wise.
What a player... Ahhh
Great vid. I just got this keyboard... how do you transpose? Since there’re no buttons for that
It is done through the software app (Mac or Windows).
what were the specs on the MacBook pro you were using ?
It is a fairly recent 13" MacBook Pro. Dual core.
But it has internal sounds or is just a midi controller?
Midi controller. There is nothing on the market with internal sounds and effects that will allow this type of guitar sound.
Do you give lessons?
Sorry, no. Thanks for asking.
