Especially after the addition of the Swedish tree lol, those things are head on monsters, as long as you're not going up against another Swedish plane, you're gonna win almost all head ons. Or at least you'll get the kill, but you might die yourself cuz Swedish planes seem to be made of paper and glass Considering how few shots you need to bring one down. You're even more screwed against a defensive fighter with a pilot that knows what they're doing, (for example, a good Focke Wulf pilot) they'll dodge all your shots, loop behind you and kill you in three bullets considering these things will absolutely die when out maneuvered, which will happen all the time in RB, but they can out maneuver most planes in arcade, as long as they're not an ace of their trade like a spitfire or BF109
Hey Sako, I tried doing every trick in this video but nothing. Came against this guy who was also energy fighting, vertically. Every time I'd double around the bastard had beat me to the turn, and when I finally got a hit on him my speed had bled out, but the damn guy was still going full speed ahead. How do I avoid this?
Depending on which model of the 109 you were flying, and according to the limited info you gave, there are a couple options you could've taken. Maybe break off when you realize that the engagement is taking too long, and try to reset it with speed, to later climb and try again later. Although it does depend on what plane you were fighting and at what altitude, but I normally don't drag out fights too long unless I know I have the energy advantage on the guy, and that no enemy planes are near to obliterate me while I am preoccupied with my current target.

Go into test flight and get used to different planes/ keep in mind nose mounted guns are synchronized and fire slower, flying in test mode on realistic is your best bet for practice, it will teach you discipline and you will better know what your aircraft is capable of, going around shooting ai will give you a good understanding of your aircraft. And of course use what you learn in air realistic and also useful guides on the planes you are flying of course

Always glad to help any new players, another tip I would suggest is once you find a plane you are good with stick with it, also tracer rounds will help with practice but I recommend switching to stealth once you are proficient with the other belts, it will teach you discipline and help you to better judge your lead angle, instead of firing and adjusting according to where the rounds are going you are eventually have an estimate of how far it needs to be,
I was recently going up against Russian planes, and since I hadn't played in a week, my aim was off, and I never fought Russian planes before so I couldn't really hurt them. But could you give me some pointers to fighting Russian planes?
I used to fly Russian planes but now I’m flying Germany. Anyway form my experience if I can recall Russians are more boom and zoom fighters. So probably your best option is to get them in a turn fight but make sure you have the energy advantage. The Russian plane will stall and become a sitting duck...that’s all I can really give you. @@waveheart5313 no, to my knowledge they are not at all BnZ'ers, considering every time I've gone up against an I-16, the damn thing out turned me every single time (those things turn stupid fast, and as the guy above me mentioned, you're not out turning them unless you're in an ace turner, like a Zero or Spitfire) you're best chance is gonna be bringing it up high, 3k to 4k at least, you'll stiffen their performance and put at least a bit of advantage with you. Just don't try to fight them at low alt, you will die

Been playing war thunder a few months now. This is hands down the best series of planes for me. Love the methodical approach and it climbs so well
