I remembered this piece from an old oiseau-lyre recording back in school. After years i finally recalled the opening words, and found this video. it is amazing, to remember a word, and with a few keystrokes be transported to another time and place. I didn't properly thank people when I was in music school.... for the time, the work, to play and sing like this. To me, this performance is arresting. Thank you.
There is an observable element in the voice of Ms. Ellis that shares some familiarity with that of Andrea Bocelli. Perhaps someone else hears this. VOM has done it again with this fine piece.
