I have been informed time and again that the music didn’t change here like it did with the other boss fights, but I _swear_ it did 😂 1:31 I genuinely like this mechanic (and several others in this dungeon) 2:48 I mean, that’s what it is, right? lol 3:31 advanced tip: in this specific pattern (orbs and faces as shown on screen) the outside corner of the two front corner squares is actually safe. If you look at the corner at 3:34 you’ll see that the orb’s aoes don’t quite reach that pixel. It’s a good option for melee who want to keep uptime 4:04 my single, smooth brain cell: “WALL TO WALL OR NOT AT ALL” tbh, this pull was a _major_ deal when it was current. You absolutely had to have a party that knew what they were doing, and preferably a caster with an LB ready. I remember how excited I was the first time I pulled this full pull off 🥳 4:25 and tank invulns! This is one of those dungeons where a tank (depending on the job. Sry PLDs lol) can get two uses out of their invulns (here and on the first big pull) 4:31 “chungus of light” 🤣 4:38 fun fact for ranged/casters! The half room cleaves _don’t hit the stairs._ Meaning, you can chill on the second step, just within attack range, and completely ignore the cleaves (the line aoes will still hit you though. So watch out for them) 4:51 meet Forgiven Obscenity. There’s been some debate in the community since her debut here, that she’s the songstress we meet back in Eulmore. Largely due to her attack names being music based. However, there’s no evidence to support this, especially given that this sineater can be seen with Vauthry when we’re first introduced to him almost immediately after meeting the unfortunate songstress. Off the top of my head, I can’t remember any other evidence either way, but it’s pretty accepted now that the two aren’t the same, and she’s more than likely what remains of his mother (given the themes of ShB, that’s my favourite theory) 5:46 it’s always the last one? Because I swear I’ve seen it not be last (but again, I pay $12/mo to have YoshiP gaslight me for fun, so who knows) Great guide as always!
