Great advice - I once had the fuel starvation issue, caused by driving with the tank too low, something I will never do again. This caused my pickup filter mesh to get clogged (mk1 jetta).

No I dont have a video on that topic ,but will try and do one soon. it could be something to do with your ignition system.,like spark plug leads or coil etc...or you could simply have a case of overfueling ,in the morning the plugs could be wet with fuel and that can cause like a misfire .Hard to pin point ,so you have to go through things by process of elimination... But do a thorough check on your ignition system,and then fuel system...

Thanks for the video. One question, how different are the mk1 to the mk2 fuel gauge setup. Do the mk1 have a voltage stabilizer as per the mk2. Want to see if I can use the mk1 voltage stabilizer for the mk2.

Hi PJ I hope im on the right path, 1.3 carb. Ive replaced spark plugs, dizzy cap, coil, fuel pump, ive done the t-piece system for the fueling like you showed on another video. replaced fuel filter, new carb. new base plate but this car will have a misfire in low revs and when it picks up it revs clean or if i rev up gradually no misfire. however i noticed the carb intake is wet could that be an issue? and smoke comes from the branch so im thinking the carb intake gasket went and maybe messing with air/fuel as the car will drive but sometimes it will stall. I have also checked compression and check exhaust and branch for blowing but all came out fine. im also going through on my 3rd base plate in 7months. so my money is kinder on the carb intake maybe have a crack or the gasket.
Hi ,have you checked your spark plug leads ...? It happened to me ,.Although my leads appeared to be fine ,after I replaced them the misfire was gone. On closer inspection it turned out to be the coil lead .,it had a fine crack in it situated where it goes into the distributor,.. not sure if you viewed this video which I did on misfires on the spark leads. th-cam.com/video/nZMFH-ZdNE8/w-d-xo.html
And the fact that you going through baseplates so fast is an issue...are you maybe overtighten it?.. if its not airtight or cracked you could see some fuel laying on the intake
Not overtightened and yes there is always fuel sitting on the carb intake. I removed the carb and base plate trying to get the intake off but it's a real mission but you making me think that it could be the plug leads that might fix this issue.
I did follow every step in your videos, the car drives smooth but once i hit 120km/H the car jerks and stop pumping fuel. Once you stop it doesn't want to start from there you have to pull petrol with your mounth for it to start to pump again. Please help😭😭😭😭

You need to open up the tank ,under the rear seat ,and do some inspection on the float /fuel gauge ..could be partially restricted

I overlooked that and took for granted there is spark so won't be that but I had a similar issue with my mp9 velocity I will test that

Could be number of things, like a weak fuel pump, or an air leak. Have u had a look at my video on the mechanical Fuel Pump, and also airleaks..

What brand of fuel pump did you fit?. Did you check if your fuel separator is maybe clogged up?.
