To be honest, it is kind of breaking my heart to see them slowly drifting out of the show business they created for soo many years. I do not know how close the three were outside of TG and TGT but I would guess that they do not meet up right now all too often and I fear that they are all quite comfortable with that and with not creating new extensive shows like the previous ones. I am happy for them if that's what they want to do. They do seem a bit burned out, looking back at many years of work, but it also makes me really sad because they did create very entertaining shows that were always a pleasure to watch.
I also think they have earned the right to retire to be honest. They deserve some time to relax and do their own thing. TGT seems like something they have to bother themselves with, but I could be wrong.

Hammond looked a bit disappointed that the audience overwhelmingly voted for Oliver to stay Oliver. I get the feeling he had big plans there and was partly doing it as a token gesture because we all love Oliver as much as he does, but didn't expect we all wanted it to stay as is. That being said, I'm proud to be a part of this community from when I saw the comments on that video and every single one of them was to just do a standard restoration. There's plenty of track cars, rally cars, and suped up cars that were never meant to be. There's only one Oliver.
If Hammond was trying to make his garden look like the Somme he totally nailed it.
