rb25 swap would lighten the front end and get better weight distribution, while giving up nothing in potential power to the heavier V8

What has been conclusively demonstrated is that we are not currently enjoying an automotive renaissance of any meaning.
Perhaps when we eat bugs and live in pods whilst owning nothing, we will dream up wonderful iterations of our virtual reality cars. Or equally plausible the alien hot rods that show up will inspire us anew.
Hammond's absolutely right about the 'vette. Putting ANYTHING under the hood that isn't a V-8 is absolute sacrilege of the highest order!!!

This feels like they were just in the pub and did this on a spur of the moment. currently the vid is at 1.6 million views. They could film just about anything for any length of time and it'd be a hit i'm sure.

Definitely needing more Mike, Les and tipsy hammond doing either car roasting, or just a simple pub chat, for the sake of just chilling amongst friends and having a general chat! As this was very relaxing and amusing to watch...
I’ve been saying for years the grand tour lads need to have a pub podcast where they just get wasted and talk car stories it would go absolutely crazy and I think it would do super well

Just as a note, the Chiron was Wrapped as a prank, by 'The Stradman'. who has also appeared on Richards Roast episodes before! Steve from The Hamilton Collection recently got Stradman back for that prank by wrapping his Twin Turbo Lambo Gallardo.

@@hyenaboy7504 Yes, the trio (and somebody else too) are all part-founders/owners of DT, but Jeremy has little to no interest in being a part of it as a host. He did like 2 videos years ago (shortly after they left the BBC and before they joined Amazon) and then it has been pretty much just James and Richard ever since then.
Finally, a video with Richard where he doesn't crash a car. He crushed 'em.
You guys are honing your format to perfection, the inclusion of friends, family, and the team is just fantastic, it's heartwarming, entertaining and funny, much like the ol' trio were.
It wasn't the Hamilton collection that made that on the chiron, it was actually thestradman... LOL

@@C.CUMM1NGS Steve didn't know in advance - his team did, but the first he personally knew was after it'd been wrapped and shipped back to him from Vegas
Also, it wasn't just Stradman behind it. Strad came up with the idea and paid for it, Houston Crosta was the one who actually got it done.
More please. This was brilliant. I could watch this once a week for 15 minutes at a time. You should do viewer-submitted car videos too. See what Hammond thinks of our collections out here in the wilderness.

I think that last Corvette was awesome. Just the idea - JDM-ifying a Corvette in the way it looks and sounds seems very creative in this day and age, when everybody has tried everything.

Mike, lovely choice with the Tissot PRX green dial. Lovely sunburst effect, and amazing build quality! I have the blue automatic with the waffle dial, I actually wore it today for a while. Also, is the old blue Mondeo mkii still about?

I would normally be throwing things at my screen for seeing something like the Corvette, but having owned a '86 Corvette previously, I can say he's done nothing but improved it.
By swapping in a longer and heavier engine with less internal displacement and less horsepower potential?
Its a piece of art, and super interesting. It drawing such a strong reaction from Hammond is probably a compliment.
