      IF i donload the GAEA free version and i set up my landskape at 1k resolution , but after i want the same landscape in 4k , i can just transport the file in a new GAEA version Or I NEED TO REBUOILT from beginning ???

    First of all, thanks for your Video. I am allways watching your vids for inspiration :)
    Second, since I've read at least 2 comments about messed up terrains (Heightmap disappears, Water is messed up, etc.):
    - If you are facing such kind of problems, try setting your BlendMode in your WaterBody to "Add". This adds the Heightmap to your WaterBody "Island".
    - If you still have that kind of "Bump" as seen at 13:15 just move your Spline below higher parts of your Heightmap.
    - Try to avoid moving your WaterBody on your Z Axis after placing it in your scene. I dont know why, but in my experience Unreal sometimes doesn't like that and starts messing up your Water.
    - Ah, and I would recommend using Layers when sculpting on terrains (Non destructible yada yada...).

    I love all games with nice jungle, because one of my best games what I play in chilhood was Turok Dinosaur Hunter 1 PC in 1998 :) I know in Turok jungle is very small part but from this time games like Men of Valor, Medal of Honor pacific assault or best Far Cry 1 - these games for me is amazing evolution of jungle in games. But what I see here i can describe how fantastic and amzing it looks ;) And I forgot about Crysis 1 on PC (best jungle ever with physics) but UE5 is very similiar to Cry Engine 1. Greetings

    I followed along with your video and changed the snow parameters to the grass textures, but it seems that no snow/grass is spawning on the island, only sand and rock, and as a result, all the procedural foliage in the snow section isn't spawning in. Additionally, the auto material function in the material instance is still spawning in water even when everything is not checked. Any fixes?

    I need to build a landscape which has multiple islands and a lot of land features BELOW the water. So basically a very mountainous base landscape with half or more of it being ocean. It would be great to see a small demo of that using Gaea! Great videos. Glad they recognized your work by giving you the license.

      when you open a new project, select "Water".. underneath that is "archipelago." That might get you started.

      @@AldonH1 I created a new level as a world empty level, added clouds and weather, but when I went to add water ... no archipelago.

      @@michaeleber4752 You are talking about Unreal Engine right? I think the person who responded to you was talking about the "Water" template in Gaea. There is an archipelago template in the Water section.

    Hello, I’ve created the auto landscape shader that you’ve made a tutorial on how to make, everything works fine except foliage. Foliage only renders at random chunk and only on this single chunk from the whole landscape. If I’m changing any values in either shader or foliage, new chunk gets foliage while previous one’s foliage disappears

    This is great!
    What if you want to have some very specific geography on your island though, can Gaia do that? For instance, three islands next to each other, one mountain on one, two mountains on the other, a cave, etc.
    Also can you use this terrain with the UE5 water plugin?
    Nevermind the water plugin, I didn't see all before asking, sry😅

      Yes. There is “island” node in gaea which gives you the freedom to draw shapes :)

      @@CGDealers The ability to draw shapes is really good news to me. Can you also draw specific landscape? For instance, say I want a mountain in the middle, a smaller one next to it, then a little lake, maybe a ridge on one side. Can you go this much into details in Gaia?

    When I import the landscape it's not working as shown, I have to transform it to 51070 on the z to be on the ground level and when I import the water body ocean it doesn't match... sad i can't follow this !

    If you had map that has river ridges, and you wanted to make these ridges into lets say: rivers... How would you go about it? Manualy paint ridge with some different texture and extend a river spline one it? Any sugestions?

      What you suggest is not a bad idea. However you can setup auto material to follow height and what is below X height can be river bed. After that you put river splines. There are a lot of ways to do that and there is no wrong way :)

      @@CGDealers Thank you for your reply :) I created a map based on another video of yours and the thing is that the river height is not linear nor static. I've seen some market place 400€ blueprint that you drop on the map and acts as a river would.. I'm thinking of creating some sphere with phisics that tumbles downhill and records coordinate points and then turn these into a spline

    Hey I notice that when you run across water from the auto material, you stay on top of the water. How would you make it so there is no collision?

      It's part of the terrain. The aim for that is to be puddle. If you want to make ocean or lake use Water plugin from UE5.

    When importing my map it just spawns a flat square plain with no terrain? What am I doing wrong? I followed the steps.

    At 12:22, how did the body of water automatically fit into the shape of the island when you added the ocean?

      I've moved my Landscape up on Z axis :)

    When I add the Ocean body it looks correct for a second then it modifies my landscape to just a small square around where I dropped the ocean and then adds what looks like a square beach around that section of landscape.

      @@karlliggin1782 in the settings for "Landscape_WaterBrushManager" I just unchecked "Affects Heightmap".

      Set the BlendMode of the Ocean Water Body to "Add". Btw that should also solve the "Bump". Just move your Body below the higher parts of your HeightMap. And btw. use Layers when sculpting you terrain :)

    How can you get the edge of the mountain type to slope more into the beach looks like cliffs all around and not a smooth slope to get on island more easily then climbing cliffs

      You can mix the landscape + some quixel assets and blend them in to get this effect.

    I bought your membership to get the auto texture but when I drop it in, the sand and grass textures got mixed together into spots and there are "Albedo' and "Normal" words on it. Please help!

      You need to replace those texture with yours or use the notepad file to find the textures from quixel bridge.
      Those textures "Abledo" and "Normal" are just placeholders which you need to replace with your desire textures.

      1. Yes you can. With free version just you are limited to 1009x1009 height map export.
      2. Just normal member will give you access to the files. VIP is just for people that really want to support my work :)

    Can we also use the displacement on materials to get a greater detail with Nanite enabled?

      Displacement is still not working good as it was introduced in 5.3. For example it works in the editor but when you build .exe it does not work. Also the performance on big landscapes is poor still.
      So i'm waiting for an update and will implement it.

    When importing to UE5 and settings up the scale, why are you choosing the values that you are? How would be know what to put for our scale?

    I get huge purple boxes that are bound to LandscapeRegion that span up the entirety of the Z axis when I import the map. I followed multiple tutorials on map importing but have not had success in understanding. Do you possibly know what I'm doing wrong?

      Just open the drop down and start typing. If you dont have it, you need to enable it via plugins.

    Hey,
    12:25 to 12:30 the ocean changed around the island... How did we fix this?
    On Unreal 5.4 the ocean forms around the splines and creates a long shoreline...
    Any and all help would be appreciated.

      The ocean plugin has controls. Enable them and shape the shoreline and forms.

    I noticed in your video that you have a lot of floating trees and floating rocks. How is this resolved? Also Can you make the palms and foliage entities that can be mined using this method?

      Use PCG instead of the procedurals from the material and it will be all fine.

    Great video! I just have one problem - when I import the mesh into Unreal Engine, I get visible seams between each "LnadscapeStreamingProxy". Would love to know if anyone knows a solution :)

      You need to tweak the Unreal Water system in order to get it right.

    after you sed "whait a little bit" some how you sudenly dont have unreal ocean spline. Its quite a bit importent to know how you do this...
