    Headspace and mediation have done wonders for my well-being so honestly it's completely worth trying out :)
    I spent 5 days on a deserted island 50miles of the coast of central America on the Pacific side with no food, no water and no shelter and only limited gear.
    A special Thanks to desertislandsurvival.com and @wildsurvivalskills for the Training :)

      @LEMAO-hm3hg but he didn't want to climb as it clearly was using to much energy and it wasn't as easy as just poking them down. You can't test a coconut that's hanging on the palm. It needs to already have been hit to the floor at which this time he might as well drink it regardless of it having much coconut water inside, due to him being on an island for 5 days. My primary takeaway from this video is simply how much time and effort it takes a "primitive man" to simply not die. You spend the majority of your waking moments just trying to get water and food and not be killed by the elements. Quite amazing and a real testament to how impactful the concept of cultivating plants and animals was. Without that, we'd still all be scrabbling for the basics.

    Drinking too much coconut water can cause diarrhea in some people. Coconut water is high in potassium, which can lead to an electrolyte imbalance and diarrhea if consumed in excess. Coconut water also contains fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides, and polyols (FODMAPs), which are short-chain carbohydrates that can cause digestive issues like diarrhea.

    • @briangardner5053
      @briangardner5053 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +8

      In the beginning of drinking only coconut water lets say for survival, the electrolytes can cause a top down colonic rinsing out the small/large intestines. It's important to keep perspectives on things. After the intestines clean out old processed food/etc, the body can optimize its use of the coconut water & the body's digestion will adapt to the coconut water electrolytes.

    Thank you for this amazing video. Surviving in tropical islands seems easier than you thought...You are Lucky to be in an island where there are coconut trees. This tree offers you life. Eating nuts, drinking water, building hut with leaves...Hope you will find also tropical fruit trees inside the island. Hope as well you will make a mat with coconut leaves, you need practice for that. Here are some advices : 1-Not drinking too much coconut water, more you drink more you will never be satisfied. 2-Make fire smoke to distant mosquitos 3-Use Hermite crabs to catch fish. Coconut water is a diuretic, so while it does have a bunch of nutrients (though not all the nutrients you need), it isn't sustainable for long-term hydration. For that, you likely need to find a freshwater source you can pot and boil or create a solar still to convert seawater to drinkable water, both of which are easier said than done.
    As for nutrients, if you add cooked clams or crabs and seaweed to your coconut diet that should satisfy the full repertoire of nutrients your body needs to survive indefinitely.
    Finally, just as a general rule for survival: never sweat more than you can afford. Always try to figure out how to do the most you can with the least amount of work. Our strength as humans is in our brains first and our persistence second.

    • @briangardner5053
      @briangardner5053 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The body gets adapted to coconut water in survival situations. In my view, coconut water becomes the perfect survival food & drink, after the body adapts from eating processed modern foods/products/etc. Initially, coconut water rinses out the intestines of old junk, it's important to keep perspectives, as the body will be adjusting from modern foods/drinks. After the body let's go of old waste rinsed by the coconut water, then the body can acclimate to utilizing the coconut water hydration etc. Many of the "concepts" society shares about health and survival are full of distorted misinformation. In general, when humans are suddenly put into survival mode, the body often goes through a cleansing process, where it let's go of old waste - can include diarrhea, fevers, etc as the body let's go of old toxic modern addictive processed foods & products. A living body is always in adaptive transition with its changing environment

    Triggerfish don't have traditional scales. We typically skin them by cutting along the spine from the tail fin to the mouth (cutting off the trigger in the process) and then peeling the skin off down towards the belly. Comes off pretty easy really.

    I love these stuck on an island videos. The first thing they always do is get coconuts and say they need to drink a lot of them.... that is the worst idea. You can drink 1 or 2 a day, and you might not get diarrhea after 3 days, but any more than that, and you are asking for trouble. Your best thing to do is find a way to boil the coconut water off and distill it to have as pure water from it as possible, then shred the coconut meat and soak it in the water to make coconut milk. Don't toss the shredded coconut meat, but cook it in a pan like you are making pancakes out of it and add a little coconut milk to it, and you will have a sweet coconut meat cookie. It will give you much more out of it than just some coconut water and some dry coconut meat, and you will have less of a chance of getting diarrhea from it.
    You can also get coconut oil from the milk if you let it sit overnight. Just like with real milk and cream. The oil, though it looks more like shortening, then it does oil, can be used to cook as well as fry other things you intend to cook, adding not only flavor but essential vitamins and minerals.
    Yes, the coconut is a power food on Islands like this, but only if you process it properly. Though in such a short challenge like this, you could just drink the water to your hearts content and deal with the diarrhea when you are back home and safe, but then again, this is supposed to be a survival challenge and you should be showing proper survival methods even if it is only for a handful of days.
    Well, at least you have some floater material with those Crocs as they are the worst footwear to have in a survival situation but work great to make floaters or used in a fire to make a signal as they burn and make some nasty black smoke. You are better off with some water socks as a spare set of footwear, but even they are a bit of a bad idea. You are better off with boots and tennis shoes but water socks are a good choice if you want at least a little foot protection in the water and that dry out fast.
    How not to use your knife..... getting Limpets off rocks. You have plenty of materials laying around including two toothbrushes that you can use to get the Limpets off the rocks. Cut off the bristles, as you don't have a fire yet, should have done that the first day, then use the rocks to sand the brush end down till you have a flat spade and use that to get under the Limpets' shells and save you knife for something it should be used for.
    I think you are thinking of Captain Cook not Columbus.

      I think it’s funny that you’re sitting at home telling the person who is actually doing it how to do it. Also it’s a misconception that you can get diarrhea from coconut water. Most people will not experience any diarrhea
