The people responding are wrong or only partially correct. He spent THREE HOURS in the woods (where the body was found) looking for his lost gun. He couldn't find it and couldn't keep looking forever with his vehicle on the side of the highway and a dead body at his feet. To try and cover himself in case the police found both the body and his gun he reported his gun stolen later that day. He was found guilty and sentenced to life plus a year in prison without parole. My thoughts! 😮
Why give it away unnecessarily. They already had enough on him. That would be a real gringo mistake to take him there.
They technically did. They were driving on 316 where he dropped her body in the woods.

You watch too much TV. There's no reason for anyone to go out of their way to set up this weirdo. He was stalking other women. Did you see the video footage of him trying to force himself into a woman's home? He knew there was a camera on him. That's bold af! He reported his gun stolen from his car but didn't want it investigated. His GPS proved he was moving along the same route as the victim's 360 app location on the night she went missing and much more. Yeah, sounds like a set up. 🙄

This guy had a history of stalking multiple women since he was 18. Clearly there is something deficient in the background checks and psychological evaluations at the Doraville Police Department. If she was his only homicide victim, it's doubtful she would've been his last.
Make no mistake: became a police officer because of the state-sanctioned power an implied trust it conferred upon him, which would enable him to more easily victimize women
The news reported an incident, when he was 16 years old. He allegedly broke in and stole his female classmate's underwear.
Sadly cops in this lifetime are NOT fully educated in citizen's rights and the amendments which will make them officially licensed and certified to be cops in the USA but until these courses are completed the cops now are not actually licensed and certified to be cops in the USA as of yet!!!!! So we technically do not have fully educated & certified cops in the USA legally!!!!! These courses were failed to be taught in the police academy in the beginning!!!!!
All jailed and prison inmates were arrested unlawfully by non fully educated and certified cops in the USA!!!!!!
It was a very precarious situation that he was in. They played on his ego & need to be a "good" cop. They told him that they had no leads in the horrible murder of a young girl. He was asked to provide details of his daily situation as a courtesy officer in the complex. How could he refuse to help his own colleagues, his community. They had to big him up. His "insights" might help solve the case. Think about how it would look if he refused or brought a lawyer? He wasn't a "perp". He was a just a good cop helping out his colleagues on a horrible case. Who wouldn't want to be a hero?

To hear about his position as a courtesy officer and document stuff. So for him to talk about himself essentially
They wanted to document what he sees around the apartment building on a daily basis.. they told him they didn’t have any leads, so they needed his assistance.
They also said they were speaking to everyone at the complex.
When they asked him do he know Spanish I’m sure his heart dropped and he knew he was caught.

Simply because hes an idiot
The people responding are wrong or only partially correct. He spent THREE HOURS in the woods (where the body was found) looking for his lost gun. He couldn't find it and couldn't keep looking forever with his vehicle on the side of the highway and a dead body at his feet. To try and cover himself in case the police found both the body and his gun he reported his gun stolen later that day.
He was found guilty and sentenced to life plus a year in prison without parole.
Btw, if he was smart, instead of spending that time looking for the gun, he should have picked up the body and transported it somewhere else.

When I heard this, I realized oh kay well that explains whw he could just do whatever he wanted on the job and they just would talk to him and not fire him. I just got a feeling that his mother pulled strings to help them even get the job as a cop.
