Incredible luck! I had really thought that world was going to be lost to time. But it also makes sense that if the failure was not with your storage that the data would still be there, as long as the computer itself could be fixed.

Wow, I never would have thought about baking your computer, lol. I think you should either import this into the series 2 world or just continue with the series 2 world. Great video and congrats on 154 subscribers!!
Yeah I'm thinking the same thing! I was testing copying the .mcr files into the NSSS 2 world (with new names), but that didn't seem to work. I'll have to keep trying a few different methods, otherwise, I'll probably keep to Series 2.

the hair dryer is a better method, less chance of damaging something. glad you were able to get your files back though!
Hair dryer method? How does it work? do you need to know where the fault is and "dry" that part out? Or you just blast the hot air everywhere? I suspect my computer broke down also due to overheating.

@@whitebeartigtig I don't know yet, one day the computer just didn't turn on. It had an issue where, when idle, it started to do some unknown task and overheat with the fans at full speed. The only way to get it out of that state was to forcing it to shut down by holding the power button. I guess this happened to it one night and I didn't noticed, I just found it turned off. The next day it was dead.
the same thing happens with old x box 360s, that's what causes the red ring of death the mother board overheats to the point of warping which causes the traces connecting the CPU and GPU to break

Oh boy, I guess I'll throw my computer into the oven... I suspect the reason that my computer won't turn on is because it suffered some overheating. It was working great but sometimes, especially when I left it idle, it started to overheat with the fans at full speed. Maybe the only problem was a bad driver or something that caused it to run at full speed when it shouldn't even had to be doing anything.
For the first NSSS world, import it into the new world! I always wanted to do that! I don't like having multiple worlds, it kinda feels like I'm leaving one of my children.
Make sure to do a bunch of research first. I don't want to lead you down the wrong path... This worked for the computer I had but every system is different. Also as Whitebear mentioned, using the oven isn't really good practice, but it did work for me. I also had no intention of going to get the computer fixed so if it died in the oven, it wasn't going to be a big deal to me. Hope you are able to get the issue resolved! :)

I just got this joke now and I am deeply saddened that it took me this long. Well played!
All I can think about now is putting a mid-sized graphics card on a baking sheet like you would a potato, then rubbing some cooking oil on it, and sparkle on some salt. then 380 F for 50 minutes.
And I'm 100% certain a rich kid on Tic Tok has done this.

This is why I always backup my worlds in each version instance, which holds the last iteration. I end up with hundreds of world backups this way. I of course also back them up to 5 different cloud services and an external ssd
Anyway, i am new to your modded series and i must say the quality if these vids is through the roof! You deserve way more attention and a blessing from the YT algorithm
That's not a bad idea to back everything up to the cloud too. I should do that! Currently I just keep a copy on my HDD and a USB drive.

Also how are GPUs related to world files?!?!
Trying to remove the hard drive to remove the world file directly was going to be a huge task, and I would also need to find software that was able to read the Mac formatted hard drive from a windows PC, so the easier method was to attempt to copy the files from the computer when it was fixed. Because the GPU was dead, the system would not turn on so that needed to be fixed.
