The abyss monster of the 2017 poll made me think, making parts of the ocean so super deep and dark with an abyss biome would be sick. Also im tired of evaluating mobs only based on use, the warden drops jack all but he one of the best mobs because he's awesome and scary.
Even though the "Chinese Mob Vote" was not an actual vote, I still want to see the Chinese alligator, white-lipped deer, golden snub-nosed monkey, and baiji in the game to help raise awareness of them. The Chinese alligator is in a very similar predicament to the axolotl, in which it has a high chance of becoming extinct in the wild, and baiji is one of the rarest animals on Earth and has less than 19 left.
I'm still disappointed that we didn't get the crab claw, especially since the armadillo is an extremely useless addition in terms of its drops. Players wear leather, and horses wear leather, so there is absolutely no reason why wolves can't also wear leather. Armadillo scutes being requires for wolf armor feels like busywork, like they needed an excuse to justify the armadillo's existence.

With the Copper and Tuff Golems, the devs agreed that they would be a great fit for The Trial Chambers, but said they were unable to allocate development to them. I do wonder if half the reason for the Mob Vote's cancelation is that Mojang has too many past ideas they want to dust off. Could we see the vote return in a couple years as a redemption round for past candidates? How about pairing 2 mobs together per vote? Copper Golem & Tuff Golem, Wildfire & Iceologer, and... Well, the first two don't require too much work, as the Golems can be developed as 1 mob and then forked to make the two, and the Dungeons mobs can be ripped from their game and be reprogramed as necessary for compatibility. But who should the third two be? as I'm not seeing anything in particular in common with the remaining candidates. Would it be cheating to list the Moolip to accompany the Moobloom? Also: oxidizing Copper Buttons wouldn't just be another pretty face, but would have a ton of Redstone potential given the randomness of reliability.

I love the squid monster if for nothing else it hides in plain sight which is a super cool design for a hostile mob and not something that’s been done before. Thinking about the way it moves also gives me the chills. We also need some slightly darker, deeper parts or oceans and these guys would be perfect for that.
A very simple drop (I always predicted) that could make the Iceologer insane: ice Ice is not easily farmable at all, it is literally place water, random tick it until it freezes. Mob farms are much much better than random tick ones, and maybe even a drop of packed ice could be such a big boost.

Like someone might find the Glare cute and bring it home as a pet, people might find the Ruffian multiple times to win a reward, and other things. i was so pissed when the crab lost and it even seemed like it was going to win too as every poll i saw anywhere, people wanted the crab. i have seen some talk about how the vote was rigged near the end and honestly, it really does seem likely. i wish that mojang at least revealed the crab for a future smaller update (even if its in like 1 or 2 years) to make up for the chance that it was rigged. either way, i still cry myself to sleep every night knowing that mr krabs could have been in the game

The reasons these mobs weren't added yet was because they are low priority, not because of the vote. They can come in at any time just like before, or they might not. It depends on whenever the devs decide is the right time for those features to be a priority, over any of the other ideas we never see.

I didn't vote for the Crab for 1 reason. PVP. I personally think if you used a crab claw, while niche, would break combat in a somewhat unhealthy way. And it's still not clear HOW far the distance would be. Even 2 extra blocks would be a massive advantage. So because of that line of thought I didn't vote for it.

Mojang clearly considers the Mob Vote and Biome Vote to be the same, and they've basically confirmed that the penguin (and by proxy the crab) will be added to the game.

Iceologers would’ve fit the caves and cliffs update perfectly. From how they were described they seemed like they would’ve taken advantage of the vertical terrain to provide for an interesting challenge

The Glare probably would have been a lot more useful on Bedrock considering they don't have an F3 menu over there.
the crab not being added is sad, but we now have attributes commands to change the reach so you can make a datapack and a custom item that lets u do that so its fine ig
i was so pissed when the crab lost
and it even seemed like it was going to win too as every poll i saw anywhere, people wanted the crab. i have seen some talk about how the vote was rigged near the end and honestly, it really does seem likely. i wish that mojang at least revealed the crab for a future smaller update (even if its in like 1 or 2 years) to make up for the chance that it was rigged. either way, i still cry myself to sleep every night knowing that mr krabs could have been in the game
Mojang decided to reuse some of these unwanted mobs by adding them to minecraft dungeons. They really hired some smartasses.
I hope that now there’s no mob vote we can actually get some of the losers in the game. I really hope the Crab, Penguin and Copper Golem make it into the game. Also, it’s been a while since one of the biome vote losers were added. I hope one of them gets added soon
The reasons these mobs weren't added yet was because they are low priority, not because of the vote. They can come in at any time just like before, or they might not. It depends on whenever the devs decide is the right time for those features to be a priority, over any of the other ideas we never see.

I didn’t vote for the crab because there’s no way I’m adding another one trick pony item to my already cluttered inventory.
I didn't vote for the Crab for 1 reason. PVP. I personally think if you used a crab claw, while niche, would break combat in a somewhat unhealthy way. And it's still not clear HOW far the distance would be. Even 2 extra blocks would be a massive advantage. So because of that line of thought I didn't vote for it.
i'm not a fan of how the 2017 mob vote is the only one that they said will NEVER come back because all of the options are great, i hope they take that back and add them
