I actually know why there was two Skeleton Horses and two Chickens on the tier list. One of the skeleton horses was, in fact, a skeleton horse. But the other is likely the skeleton _trap._ Skeleton traps appear the exact same to skeleton horses, but if you get too close, they burst into 4 armored skeletons riding skeleton horses. It’s a similar case with the chickens, where one is a chicken, but the other is a chicken _jockey._ The special type of chicken that spawns with a baby zombie on its back. That’s my theory at least.
Im guessing it is cuz baby turtles irl often get hunted when trying to crawl to the sea so they kinda put it in to be like heyyy this animal is kinda in danger
It would be a fun mechanic if the player could change the motivation/behavior of additional mobs. Spamming a creeper with rooted soil will turn the creeper into a tree. Collecting endermite carapices by killing them and spamming the Enderman with those. Then the Enderman would follow the player around gathering the same block the player is gathering for a limited time.
I think the reason most mobs seem to exclude Ghast for no apparent reason is because Ghast's are ghost, and maybe a lot of mobs simply cannot see them.
I'd think the real reason is oversight of some kind. Some of these interactions wouldn't feasibly happen in vanilla minecraft. I'd imagine the hostility on mobs is determined by some kind of list, and that list just doesn't include Ghast
This is not true, in the mobeastiery book officially licenced by mojang they are shown to be made from complex parts and mechanisms, they are infact not even natural and were created by something
I remember as a kid,I built a bedrock cage and made a wither. Then I wrote in a book how the wither interacts with every single mob in the game. I was such a scientific kid
I did the same thing in survival mode, but since there wasn't a bedrock cage available, I just used a water tank instead. The server mods were not pleased when they found out.
golems are defenders of villages, of course they'll attack all HOSTILE mobs, and they don't attack creepers because obviously they don't want to blow up to metal scrap or destroy the village they're meant to protect, there's also a theory that creepers are like plants so they blow up near the player to spread their seeds because the player travels thousands of blocks, and it'd explain why literally nobody targets creepers, even zoglins who hate everyone, or maybe they also don't want to explode
You can argue that is because the other creatures are more common and thus Wardens are numb to their prescence, while players are a new thing that stand out to their hearing
@@thecookiecrumbler3501ok so assume you're blind, your family members' voices won't alarm you, but you'd be surprised at a sudden new person showing up in your house
The reason the cat and several other mobs attack baby turtles is because that's what happens in real life. In places where sea turtles lay their eggs, the turtles will hatch en masse, meaning that there is a massive amount of slow-moving, soft-shelled food with a lot of beach to run across before they reach safety. This is essentially a feast for predators, who show up and catch as many as they can.
there's a theory about endermites being silverfishes that parasite on endermen (since silverfishes can infest blocks they probably also can infest certain creatures), that's why you only meet normal silverfishes near the end portal and why you can only spawn an endermite using ender pearls which are essentially endermen's organs, meaning the enderman it dropped from was infested by a silverfish that gained some of the enderman's properties after living inside of it, so obviously endermen will try to kill their parasites whenever they see them, plus endedmites attack back
Minecraft mobs (and players) are all the same sex. Players might have genders, sure, but nothing else does. So every mob is gay by definition. Tldr; minecraft is gay
I'd heard before that witches don't actually attack villagers during raids, but just buff up the pillagers. I could totally be wrong- I did hear it from a lore theory video, so maybe it was made up. It kinda makes sense if you think witches are like outcast clerics/priests though.... Regardless, idk if they attack villagers in raids now or not-
I think that some mobs don’t fight Ghasts because of how horrifying they look. Imagine being a Viking, and you see a humongous white ghost blob that shoots out fire balls like a cannon.
In my opinion, Endermites can really only be spawned by players using ender pearls, and the most common way to get ender pearls is slaughtering Enderman. I'd be pretty upset at the monsters that were made of my dead friends as well🤷♀
the reason why things like the golems dont attack creepers is because of mojang's block destruction philosophy. mojang generally avoids things that could destroy blocks without the player directly causing it, be it by either not paying attention to a creeper or by placing and lighting tnt.

Recommendations for change: Spider jockeys can spawn with wither skeletons, although this isn’t used since spiders can’t spawn in the nether. Shulkers actually attack based on team color
@@asdfoifhvjbkaos Not quite. You see, shulkers have unused variants for the sixteen colors, and so Mojang repurposed them into team colors, as team colors already existed prior. If you specify a color for a shulker, it won’t attack players on the team of the same color but *will* attack other hostile mobs. I think it was intended for minigames or like bedwars or something, but i don’t think I’ve ever seen it in use.
I like to believe that most mobs don't attack creepers because they blend in with the environment and camouflage, which makes the mobs unable to see any threats.
Animals irl have different levels of eye sight and see colors differently from humans. I would not be surprised if this was the case for Minecraft mobs as well so your theory makes sense. They probably can’t see the creepers the way players can. The reason why cats react to creepers might be because cats are known for their good eye sight and unlike other mobs they’re probably able to see them. They view them as threats because they probably look like sentient bushes to them wich would probably be quite intimidating for a little cat.
@@silh3345there is actually a feature in Minecraft that lets you go inside a mob and see what they see. In spectator mode you can right click on mobs to do this. I would love to see if that's actually the case in game :3

villagers should be higher on the list because lore wise they banned pillagers from the villages because they are grey, which made the pillagers hate villagers
As for the creepers, don't the mobs just not attack them because it'd cause a lot of damage to themselves, too? It's just like how most predators don't attack poisonous animals.
@Leeloo_the_foxI'm pretty sure that was because they were checking for a nearby exploding creeper every tick, nothing about the creeper is inherently laggy
The axolotls likely aren't eating the things they kill. The thing with axolotls is that while their mouths are big, their digestive tracts can be very easily impacted by large foods, or even rocks, since, as cave dwellers, they can't see very well. The axolotl probably doesn't know what the hell is happening, but they know that usually, "big moving fish shape is danger" so they're most likely attacking out of a perceived need for self-defense. TLDR: The axolotls are likely attacking out of self-defense, because they can't see for shit and they are Afraid.
Fun fact: the shulkers, at least when they were first introduced on the Nintendo Switch, were the only hostile mob that could exist in peaceful mode. In peaceful mode, they would not fire their bullets but would still open up.
Shulkers don't despawn on all versions of the game. Vindicators and evokers in woodland mansions also do not despawn on peaceful. Piglins also don't despawn in peaceful, though they are only hostile to players without gold armour.
An essential question we have to ask is: Can we conclude that most mobs (like the Iron Golem, the zombie hoglin, and the wolf(tamed)) are just instinctively aware that creepers will explode if attacked??
That’s what I thought too like they have just evolved to stay away from them, but I can’t say the same for the zoglin, which comes from another dimension and therefore would not know anything about the creeper
@@joemama2737 To be fair ruined portals make it obvious that before whatever happened, happened, there used to be portals from the overworld to the nether everywhere, linking the two dimensions, meaning that technically still applies even if zoglins aren't from the Overworld.
Something i thought of is Iron Golems probably don't attack creepers because they might anger them and risk blowing them up, which could get villagers killed and buildings damaged
considering lore is that they are just extremely shy and blow up from nervousness, iron golem and wolf may not consider them threat, hoglins prob instinct
I think it's probably reasonable to assume that in the case of witches who are part of raids attacking villagers they're just doing it because the pillagers told them too. Why are they in the raids to begin with? Maybe they're being paid for mercenary work, pillagers do seem to carry a lot of emeralds and potion ingredients can't be cheap when you're not going to out of your way to get to the nether like the player does.
Maybe endermite is some parasites for enderman? I mean, they have chance to appear when using ender pearl, which possibly are biological part of enderman (at least considering that mob loot either are part of mob or their equipment)
Endermites come from an inbetween dimension that mobs go through when they teleport, and endermites sometimes latch onto the player when they go through the dimension. This is confirmed by Dinnerbone
The reason goats keave ghasts alone is because they are flying, therefore they cannot recah them. You mentioned this. And they are constantly moving. They will only attack a mob/player if they stand still for roughly 20-30 ticks.
Small error with regards to the Creeper. Mojang has confirmed that they do not explode out of maliciousness, but rather, they try to introduce themselves to you, but they get so nervous that they explode. Not sure how that would affect their placement, but it's interesting nonetheless.
I'd say the frogs are not racist - they are not native to the nether and magma cubes are only there. It probably just thinks magma cubes are slimes, which it eats.
My personal theory about the endermen vs endermites thing has always been that endermites are considered pests that live inside enderpearls, kinda like people killing off random insects and spiders that invade their homes
Endermites come from an inbetween dimension that mobs go through when they teleport, and endermites sometimes latch onto the player when they go through the dimension. This is confirmed by Dinnerbone. They still probably treat them as pests
IRL cats are 100% racist. they think that they are above every other thing on the planet and after many years spent with them you cannot convince me otherwise.
Also baby turtles are younger versions of turtles. It's not racist if they get attacked KendelR is wrong about that because he just likes that one specific baby animal so much
also on the warden: it can’t even tell if you’re an animal. i’ve seen things where people keep the warden out of the way by distracting him with a piston. and the warden will just ignore everything else and be bothered by Piston In A Box
I think the in-game explanation for why so many mobs don't attack creepers is probably because they have natural camouflage, so those mobs can't actually see them.
There's a lot of reasons why mobs don't go after creepers. There was the whole "mobs will constantly check for nearby creepers to run away from" which causes tons of lag, so they just made them neutral to each other. Then it's the fact that Mojang don't want much happening to the world that's outside of the players control, like mobs exploding creepers where players can't affect it. Then it's the insane lag that would come if creepers were just constantly exploding everywhere. And all that is outside of of the canon and fanon lore reasons.
@@sboy2044 yeah by looking at the baby ghast, The fact that it's translucent and you can see organic organs inside of it goes to show that it is not a mechanical creation like some people theorized.
The reason theres not many animals that kill Creepers is due to the fact that they explode. Mojang wants it that every destructive effect to the world is responsible from the player, so if a mob attacks a Creeper, that wont be responsible from the player. There are ofcourse exceptions to this rule tho, that being the Wither and Skellies accidentally hitting them, and in both cases, either the mob is already initially destructive or its for an easteregg.
2:44 It actually ignores bats! This was because bats would often infuriate the Warden, but that was pretty silly, so they just had it no longer sense bar flaps
That gave me a flashback to the racist zombies Key and Peele sketch, where in one part zombie parents have to stop their kid from going after the protagonists. "No little Warden, you aren't to fight bats."
I would excuse iron golems *to a point* for attacking most hostile mobs because players tend to build golems for the express purpose of protection and ignoring creepers under the assumption that their line of thinking is "wrecklessly attacking and angering the thing that tends to explode is counterproductive to my goal as protector and thus I will leave them to the players would rather deal with such risky and delicate matters themselves."
So are villagers. They hold iron golems as slaves made to kill anything the villagers don’t like. Iron golems aren’t racist, they just follow the orders of their masters because it’s what they have to do. It’s the villagers that are the racist ones that not only keep another species as slaves to work for them, but specifically order them to murder other species they don’t like.

Villagers should be higher. They are scared of zombie pigmen simply because they assume the pigmen are hostile like other zombies. In other words, they are scared of a harmless type of zombie because they assume all zombies are harmful, which is racist.
Fair point, but you tell me if you wouldn't run away from someone who not only looks like a zombie, which is constantly hunting you, but can also wield a sword?
Zombie pigmen are dumb and they will follow any enemy, like skeletons (the obvious choice), and piglins. Yet, piglins are afraid of zombie pigmen. But not only racism, but more of seeing their diseased relative come back to life to serve a dark Lord.
I think the shulker attributes racial stereotypes to the player. It immediately assumes the player is there to loot the end city, and shoots regardless of the player's true intention.
I feel like the Llamas attacking wolves would be considered self defense against a legitimate threat, since the wolf wants to kill them. It's a predator prey dynamic so I don't think it'd be racist in that context.
In real life, llamas are used as defence against wolves, foxes, coyotes, dingoes, wild dogs, etc, on farms, so I’d say that’s why they’re programmed to attack wolves. Donkeys are also used to protect livestock, so it’d be cool if they added the ability to use that to your advantage in Minecraft. But yeah, technically you could have a llama to protect your sheep. Also, the cats, wolves, ocelots and foxes attacking baby turtles could also be counted as just their natural food source, since baby turtles have a very soft shell, and 90% of them get picked off by predators.
I think the pufferfish should be higher because they attack anyone but their own kind, they think that everyone else is dangerous but that their own kind can’t be at all dangerous.
I've seen somewhere that Creepers want to explode you because you travel a lot and Creepers just want to spread their seed on you so you would leave it in different places. In other words, Creepers are like plants except they walk so instead of relying on insects they rely on someone bigger.
Yeah, there was a Game Theory video about it back in the day. Basically creepers are just mobile piles of peat moss that explode on players so they can use the corpse to reproduce. Doesn't really explain any other creeper behavior, like why they would avoid cats or ignore other fleshy hostile mobs.

There are ofcourse exceptions to this rule tho, that being the Wither and Skellies accidentally hitting them, and in both cases, either the mob is already initially destructive or its for an easteregg.
