You might think we only get sent the hottest new computer hardware from the likes of Nvidia, AMD, ASUS, Gigabyte etc. But we actually get sent a lot of weird stuff. And far weirder emails. Which is why we opened the floodgates and said yes to everything that was sent to us for a whole month. Boy there is a lot of weird stuff… battery banks, lasers, bad VR, even a Steam Deck competitor!

Agreed, random tech videos like this would normally end up not being made at all, or end up as a shitty low performing shortcircuit video times however many products are shitty. Put em all together like this though and it ups the comic value enough to be amusing, while at least some of the tech is legitimately interesting, plus then you don't need to be nice about the product being hot garbage, the drama is part of the point. 6 months seems about right lol

Pressure sensor on toothbrush is actually super helpful. I used to brush way too hard and my gums started receeding because of it.
Moza has come out of nowhere with an absolutely incredible lineup of gear, given fans pretty much everything they've been begging other companies for, and in particular caught Fanatec napping when they thought they had the entry level enthusiast space locked down for years with the first low-cost direct drive wheel
They did have the first entry level dd wheel with the csl dd, moza release the r5 after to directly compete with it only after the csl had alredy been released, and moza have started strong but are now starting to release cheaper plastic wheels and if you want to get a nice wheel like the one Linus has you better get you bank on the phone
Well known for overheating issues, better use your money elsewhere (e.g. simucube or vrs)
"Entry level enthusiast space"..... bruh, there are almost as many "spaces" as there are genders these days.

I'm actually really glad you addressed the laser engraver. I was shocked when you didn't even mention the massive safety risk in your previous video. Honestly, if I had any kind of influence, I'd follow Angus at Maker's Muze's example and not even put the spotlight on a laser that isn't enclosed.
I know this video was meant as a goof, but I really like these lightning round reviews. I learn a lot about a bunch of products really fast, and there's no way I'd get through a whole Short Circuit about any of these products. (The Goovis goggles actually looked pretty cool until I heard the price.)
Why would they upload one 25 min video when they can upload twenty 15 minute videos and make way, way more money?
We know how Linus is about maximizing content and watch time.
@@GuyGamer1 Because they know uploading 20 videos of reviews will dilute the watching. There are review channels that do just this while this channel is more of an overall channel. I skip watching a lot of stuff as I really do not care about most of the stuff.
Yeah the Goovie goggles are way overpriced. Their only selling point seems to be their OLED screens which is cool. The pico 4 or Quest 2 are 300-400 bucks most of the time and you can do more stuff with them. They can run standalone and with pcvr.
Then the hp reverb is great as a headset just for pcvr as it doesn't work standalone. The valve index is a bit more expensive than the Goovis and also only works with pcvr but is also way better.
If you're interested in getting a quest 2 or Pico 4 I'd recommend the pico 4 but keep in mind the content library is smaller. Most games are still on pcvr tho.
The Quest 3 will also be released soon but seems to cost significantly more than the quest 2. In the us it'll be 500 dollars. In Europe it'll be 579 but it'll vary from country to country due to different VAT.
@@Flynn.... For me I really do not care about the game part of the vr headsets. I just want one that I can use hotspot on to watch movies, surf the internet while on the road. I actually have an Anda Seat chair! I'm someone who has gone through multiple computer chairs, so I spent a bit more on this one back in 2020 (bought it for £264 on amazon, whereas previously I would never spend more than £150) and it's lasted REALLY well, I'm actually sitting in it right now!
my only gripes are that the head cushion fabric has split, and it could be a bit more padded, but the pneumatic lift has held up better than any I've ever had, I'm a bigger guy, so the usual point of failure for chairs has been that they start sinking after a short amount of time, but this hasn't sunk once in the time I've had it, which is longer than any other chair.
I don't usually like shilling for things, but honestly Anda seat surprised me with how good they were, I imagine I would have gone through 3 chairs by now and spent a lot more money if I cheaped out and bought a lower quality one for cheaper
I wasn't expecting this video concept to be as entertaining as it was. More of this would be good.

*Edit: This appears to no longer be the case. Read comments below.*
@@LarryJL Pffff...Fanatec costs the same if not more a lot of the times. Their wheel rims are of lesser quality if they don't cost $1500 on their own, and their quick release is a joke. I won one from my dentist & I’d have to say I like it!
As someone who has used electric for about 5 years and switched back to manual for the last couple of months I can definitely say they're about the same. I find most electric toothbrush heads have too firm and thick bristles and they don't get in between the teeth as well as some normal brush heads do. So electric does a good job on surface cleaning, but not great for interdental cleaning. Manual - assuming it has the right bristles - does a nice job with both.

As somebody whose parents bought those stupid electronic locks when I was a kid, that power port should absolutely be industry standard. With tinted glass I believe you need ND glass for that specific wavelength, which most likely is 1064 nm. Definitely not use it. Also you need some good suction with filter. Anodized or painted aluminum makes a mess, wood quickly burns, plastic is fuming a lot and glass quickly explodes if you hit an air bubble in it. Marking stainless steel is a clean operation though. I may have tested all of the above on our commercial laser marker.
18:16 You can tell that Linus isn't CEO anymore by how bold the other employees are getting... 😂
That’s not how it works. Linus is still effectively at the top of the company with his wife, so he could choose to make important decisions if he truly wanted to. His employees have done playful jabs at him for a long time (part of it is them having fun, and part of it is to make the video more fun and engaging). It’s also entirely possible that some of this video was shot before the major change in position for Linus.
Was going to say, I like these types of videos. You don't always get what you expect and shows some sides you normally wouldn't see reviewing more professional or planned products.

The design on how to put the BGVP DM9's is cause they're in-ear monitors for singers/musicians. The cord would go down your back or side to the monitor receiver. The hook design helps them stay on your ears even if you're moving around the stage.

Aside from that, it was just the slimmest AC inverter I could find at the time.
I had one. They’re overpriced. I returned mine.
It’s also 28,160mah not 40,000mah
@@jsl6155 Ayup. I had it running a NES emulator and pico projector in the middle of PAX. I couldn't find anything off the shelf that would be light enough (at the time) to have strapped to my shoulder. It was a very very niche use case.
In case anyone was wondering, those green headphones were IEMs (in ear monitors). They are designed for musicians during live performances, so the cable runs down the back inside the shirt and you tighten the cable agains the back of you head so you can freely move your head around.
This has been my FAVOURITE episode I'm ages. PLEASE do more like this! I love seeing alternative tech, it's so much fun! 🤩🤩🤩 LINUS give us what we deserve. More of this content
This is one of the most entertaining videos you've made recently. The wild swing from one genre to another was very good at keeping my short attention span. I would love to see more videos like this.
honestly that goovis thing has me extremely interested in the whole realm of personal home theatre tech. that seems like exactly the kinda thing made for me and i'd love to get a better lay of the land on it.
Regarding the gearing aides. As someone who wears HAs for 6 years now, the ones shown aren't really a needed bridge anymore. Modern hearing aides can be used as headphones without a problem. And at leat in germany, you insurance will cover aides for 750€ per side if prescribed which will be far better than the ones shown here.
I am always entertained by LTT, but I completely lost my s#!t when they broke out the Oral B while Linus was racing; that was the most hilarious thing I've seen in MONTHS!
22:00 You guys probably won't see this, but something to add to the chair you guys got is that if the piston is cheaply made, it can explode with a person sitting on it and can be fatal.
I hope you guys do this kind of video every once in a while. Its pretty fun to watch but also cool to just see random things with the chance of finding something genuinely decent
I had a similar door lock like that and it would keep turning itself on all day and night until the batteries died. But of course the issue didn't start until the return time was up.
18:40 Someone definitely knew what they were doing with the name branding xDD
i actually laughed out loud more than once. good job guys
