SLIP39 is helpful if you want the option for multi-share in the future, a BIP39 24 word seed is helpful if you are more worried about cross-vendor compatibility from day one.
Thanks for the video. Do we have to use Trezor Suite? I don't want to use it (will data be sent to Trezor)? Can we use it without Trezor Suite like Foundation Passport?
Thanks, it's certainly a strong offering and brings them back in line with what everyone else is offering security wise. (For the most part, the addition of stateful multisig would still be nice, though less relevant for the mainstream userbase)
You can set up Trezor suite to remember your Trezor and show you all the balances without the device connected. (Though it will still need to be connected to approve outbound transactions)
Hi Steve, have you encountered any problem sending ZEC coins to Binance exchange? The problem is that Binance has introduced new addresses for ZEC that start with TEX and the Trezor wallet does not accept them. It would be nice if you made a video on how to solve this problem.
Please help me, I wrote down the phrase badly, but at the same time there are the first letters and their order, also in some words there are the first and second letters, tell me, is there an opportunity to restore access to the wallet?
Basically your seed phrase IS your wallet, so if someone has it then they have full access without the Trezor device. There are a few ways that you can add a layer of protection to your backups, either using SLIP39 multi-share backups or by using a BIP39 passphrase. (So that an attacker would need more than a single recovery phrase)
please tell me, if we take your ready-made ETH address database, do you need to download it to your computer or do you need to work through google cloud?
It comes down to also the camera module, the ability to do the image processing that this requires and also needing more RAM to be able to do things like store and process the full transaction on-device, as opposed to having the connected PC handle some parts of this. (And maybe throwing a larger screen on there to make the camera usable too) In the simplest of terms, you can see this with a Jade, you can DIY one without the camera for $10 USD, but if you want to add a camera, the price basically doubles. (You can also take this further and have an even simpler smartcard based device like Satochip, no screen or buttons, that you can do for under $5 USD)
Depends on what you want to store and what device you plan to use it with. (Eg: Ledger will work with an iPhone via Bluetooth, supports different coins, etc)
@@CryptoGuide i want security to store my ethereum ....so nobody could steal it even if they had access to my cold wallet.... so this trezor 5 or 3 are goood for that sir?
It's still a small touch screen and I wasn't a huge fan of the UI with the Trezor T for this exact reason. That said, the touchscreen being flush with the front certainly helps on this front with the Safe 5. (As opposed to being recessed with the model T)

I really like the Trezor shows the address by put the space between every four letters. That makes it very easy to reconcile.
Yea it certainly makes it easier to read and check :)
Thanks a lot for your time and work! You are amongst the very best
Thanks :)
The usual helpful critical information thanks for the upload
Glad it helped :)
Thanks for the video, for single sign you recomend new slip39 20 words or 24 words?

You don't need to use any of Trezor's software at all.
great video ! just checked your web site, totaly agree with your top 3 wallet :-)

Has the Trezor suite app on desktop got some changes now after the new firmware update
There are changes here github.com/trezor/trezor-suite/releases
They seem fairly general, not specifically related to any firmware changes.
Why is it numbered “5”? Isn’t this their 4th hardware wallet?
1-3-5..they are going odd numbers ..i like it
Yea basically just seems like a marketing choice.
can u check ur portfolio straight from the app without connecting the trezor? orr can u check ur portfolio directly from trezor

When I download your databases from the site, I can’t open them in Windows, how can I solve this problem??
Does this have anything to do with Trezor or is this a BTCRecover related question?

Unfortunately I don't have any ZEC to test.
@@CryptoGuide Thanks for your reply, Steve. If you want to experiment with sending ZEC to Binance, then I can send you 0.1 ZEC for testing.
Binance doesn't work here either :/

It's probably fixable. Just follow my videos on BTCRecover
Gracias🧡
You're welcome :)
Sorry newbie question, if I use Trezor but my phrase is discovered or stolen, will they be able to access and make transactions with my wallet?
Basically your seed phrase IS your wallet, so if someone has it then they have full access without the Trezor device.

No, you just download it and use it with BTCRecover.
@@CryptoGuide upload to google cloud?
I don't understand what you are asking, the pre-made address DB files are available as part of the BTCRecover documentation.
Why it is so difficult for companies to make a cheap and fully air-gapped device?

Is it better to pick this trezor vs ledger?
Depends on what you want to store and what device you plan to use it with. (Eg: Ledger will work with an iPhone via Bluetooth, supports different coins, etc)
@@CryptoGuide i want security to store my ethereum ....so nobody could steal it even if they had access to my cold wallet.... so this trezor 5 or 3 are goood for that sir?
Either are fine, as long as you aren't planning to use it with an iPhone.
@@CryptoGuide thanks much!
No worries :)
i forgot my passphase , can you please help me how to recovery my wallet? 😢
Do you have some idea what it should be?
Im try so many that i can think now , do you have the way to help me get the passphase 🙏
Around 3years ago i dont remember this thing
Basically if you have no idea your best bet is to use BTCRecover with other passwords you used around that time.
