    Hi Steven
    Question: If you go through all this process to disable all this Lane crap, will we have to redo the cancelling every time you start the car or will it be saved in the computer. I think these systems must be great for teenagers and all the distracted adult driving in this day and age because of Cell phones and such (I don't own one) and I am glad everyone else has it but I don't like giving up the control.

    If the camera can't see the lines, it will use the radar to follow the car in front of you.
    And the steering assist will try to follow that car straight into the ditch if you're not paying attention.
    Had a coworker whose car tried to drive itself up an off ramp he didn't want.
    Of course, it's one of those things where if this is true AND this is true AND this, that, AND the other are all true, then it will follow the car in front.
    If any one item is not true it will not do this.
    And yes, one of those items is not paying attention.

    You keep ignoring there's a radar sensor behind the Toyota emblem.. all these systems wouldn't work without it

    • @stevenwelchtoyota
      @stevenwelchtoyota  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The radar sensor is for the dynamic radar cruise control and pre collision system Although it needs to have radar cruise active for lane tracing the lane departure/lane tracing system does not directly use the radar

    I just purchased my 2024 rav4 and I am hugely disappointed with your lane centering and lane tracing. Do not trust it!
    Its wanders around the lane. It's Brutal!
    My previous subaru crosstrek was amazing.

    • @stevenwelchtoyota
      @stevenwelchtoyota  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You have to have it in dynamic radar cruise control for lane tracing to be active

    These 'Safety' systems are dangerous & unnecessary.
    Pulling the steering from the driver's control, is lethal.
    I own a RAV4 & need to disable this crap.
