Ryan sir, i agree as well as disgree with you on percentage 47% of life expectancy increases due to exercise, basically Diet is top on the list, one can never undo a bad food choice with badminton or tennis...thats why many south indians are great badminton players but all obese with belly protruding...they eat heavy carbs and think the sweat comes post badminton match had burned it off...calorie in and calorie is totally wrong which i often see in your podcast, Diet is at the top of list and exercise helps in improved blood circulation and distribution of fats in the body and helps hormones to stabilize...but cannot control hormones functioning because of a bad diet

What we understood is in swimming we get gentle resistance nd low impact on joints. Gr8 for longitivtiy. One aunty i use to meet at our pool was 91 years young.
Plz explain why its not weight bearing?

Swimming is good for back, arms, shoulders and neck muscles. There is no weight bearing because you are in water. Swimming is a zero weight bearing exercise. It is good for cardio and muscular health. If you have weaker joints in your legs or bad hips then swimming is the best exercise to stay fit as walking or running could be a no-go due to leg injury or joints impact/hip impact.

You should have compared it with other similar sports like football and volleyball also and not just basic cardio options. That would have been helpful for people to make better fitness choices.

I think combat sports also meet the 3 point check list mentioned here, given you avoid the damage😅

Swimming does not allow for bursts of high intensity which comes with racket sports

If any active person has bad food habit, he will surely fell ill one day.
Doesn’t matter how physically active the person is, so there are multiple reasons for any disease

Ryan! They're sissy and cheesy sports, likely to contribute nothing when a person is under assault or threat. I strongly recommend karate, boxing, or wrestling because they work on more muscles, are way more natural, and helpful in protecting a person's life and honor.
