Hi K You sound much better. I'm praying that means you are feeling much better. 😊 These are beautuful. The silicone brush was disappointing. Love how the stump and baby oil blended it so well. I love the look!! Thank you so much for making this video. You have taught me so much. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You are so kind and thoughtful to write down everyone's suggestions. I am sure no one would be upset that you have not gotten to every suggestion. You have been sick. You do so much K. I can't speak for everyone but most all of us support you 100%. I love your channel and your content. You are such a joy. Hope you have a wonderful week. Many Blessings and continued healing. 😊🤗❤
Hi Linda, you’re so kind and I really appreciate your messages, thank you so very much! I am definitely much better now, just live with the chronic pain issues (that many of us suffer from) but thankfully I survived Covid. Many, many thanks for your kind messages again. Sending you love and hugs, K x
@@ColouringwithK More than happy you survived it. 🙏 May I ask is your first name Kay? Please do not answer if you don't want to. I understand. I feel weird typing a K everything. You're a nice person with a name. I hope you have a lively weekend. Many blessings. Much love and hugs sent your way. Take good care of yourself. We won't be having any relapsing. 😊🤗❤
They look so good. This may have to go on the list for in the future. Thank you for sharing K. Sorry to hear you have been so unwell and have made it through to the other side. Wishing you a full recovery. Stay safe and Happy Colours, Sara x
The stump and baby oil did the trick for small areas. I used the silicone shapers for larger works to just move the color a bit. Love the Sennelier. They were originally formulated for Picasso at his request by Sennelier.
Great video K. I don’t think that oil pastels are for me but I really do like the Iridescent ones. They are beautiful. Thanks for showing us how to use them. I don’t know if you have seen them but blending stomps come in a much smaller size. They also have a sharper and longer tip. Thanks for your help.
I think I have those longer stumps too, I think they are called tortillions, I must dig them out. I’m not sure oil pastels in general are for me (to use in colouring books at least) but I do like the iridescent Sennelier ones since they are not greasy and very smooth, so I think I will use them on single sided pages. Thanks for watching and for your support.
Yes this was useful, i have some oil pastels and have been trying them in my colouring books but have been mostly disappointed so will try a blending stump it looks much easier that eye make up things xx
Those look so pretty. I have the regular 12 set of basic colors, but I have the iridescent ones in my wish list lol I also have the pastel set of Paul rubins you have there!! I love those actually. They are very creamy and easy to work with. 💚
So glad you did this video. Those iridescent pastels are beautiful. I've been trying to figure out if I should get the mungyo water soluble oil iridescent pastels for use in my books. My only adversion to it is it's oil pastel and those don't mix well with colored pencil. This video definitely helps in my decision. I first found the mungyo water soluble oil pastels when I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the neo 2s. Then I found out they come in iridescent as well and they are very reasonably priced. Now I want the sennlier ones as well as they look so gorgeous. Your first shark is my favourite. It turned out beautiful.
Thanks so much, I definitely agree with you about the disadvantage of oil pastels in terms of not mixing with coloured pencils, a big drawback for me too! Thanks so much for watching!
Interesting medium K, the effect is lovely 😍. I’ve used the silicone brushes for pan pastels in the past, but never for oil pastels. Sorry you’ve been sick, I didn’t know. 😢Hope you’re feeling better now 🥰
Thanks Lily, yes had Covid so was quite bad during July and recovery took some time but I’m feeling much better now. You know me, like to test out different mediums. Hope everything is good with you!
Hi againK, just in case you don't have them yet, I HIGHLY suggest the Mungyo water activated PEARL Oil Pastel set. I LOVE it & it's a great price on Amazon. They really remind me of the pastels in this gorgeous Sennelier set you're showing, which I'm just sooo close to buying...!
Looks great, but i don't think it is for me. I am more a pastel, pencils sometimes gelpen kind of girl 😂. I am trying out my new pastel pencils from derwent. I have a Winnie the pooh colouring book that i have had for years. Never knew what to do with it. Then someone suggested pastel pencils and they work great in the book. It is Christopher robin de luxe colouring book from Disney.
I really wanted to like pastel pencils but I just don’t like the chalky feel and the dust, I have a set of Derwent and Faber Castell and will probably get rid of them one day! Thanks for watching

This is such a good video. I like this kind of video where I can learn how to use a different medium. The fish are beautiful.
Thank you very much!

Thanks so much, hope you are having a good day!
Thanks Kay excellent demo. Quite helpful.
Thank you!
Such an enjoyable video, Kay. I'm prob gonna get those Sennelier Iridescent Pastels. They look gorgeous!!!
Hi Rebecca, you won’t regret getting them. They are great!
Wow! That baby oil sure did the trick. I have both the Paul Rubens and Sennelier in my cart right now. Hope you're feeling better Luv! 🙋🏽♀️💛🎨🌿🌹
Thanks so much, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with these iridescent pastels.
Wow. Those are beautiful 😊👍🏻
Thank you!

Oh wow, didn’t know that Sennelier had a link to Picasso! Thanks for watching!
Hey! Oh I am going to spend so much money! You give me bad (GREAT) ideas of things I don’t (DO) need! Beaucoup good vibes from south Louisiana!
Thank you very much, hope you are having a good day and all the best!

The Paul Rubens pastels are nice but i like the Sennelier ones better - thanks for watching!

The non-watersoluble Mungyo metallic pastels aren't very good. I haven't tried the watersoluble. I don't recommend the former.
Interesting medium K, the effect is lovely 😍. I’ve used the silicone brushes for pan pastels in the past, but never for oil pastels.

Hi! Will have to check those out, thanks for letting me know!
Re the sandpaper and stumps: I just use sandpaper to clean the colour from the stump so that I don't spread previous pastel.
Thank you!
Since you’ve bought the paul rubens Sets. I’ve been eyeing on those but they are sold out in our amazon. I’ll definitely try this one as well
They are both good sets of pastels but I much prefer the Sennelier ones - thanks for watching!
Interested on how you apply them. Blends nicely with the baby oil. Once the stump is wet it must be hard to sharpen, try again when dry.
Ah okay, thanks for letting me know - I shall try that.
I’m blending using toilet paper, I find it blends the smoothest.
Oh really, must try that!
I’ve tried oil pastels, they are very hard to blend! Even with OMS! These look easier to blend than regular oil pastels
Definitely easier to blend and without the oily residue feeling afterwards on the paper - thanks for watching!
