There are many Flosstubers who also quilt; that is how I learned to quilt was via one of the Flosstubers that I watch and she was also doing a beginner quilting tutorials. Needless to say, I haven’t looked back. In fact, I feel like my cross stitch has taken a bit of a back seat as I am loving sewing with fabrics to make quilts. I am focusing on making enough quilts that I can leave for my grandchildren and my one great grandchild. I also still have my mother who is 97 and I just finished a quilt for her to hang on her wall where she lives. So fun.

I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm pretty new to longarm quilting--I only quilt my own quilts. I love that you show and talk about the quilting patterns that you use. It's so helpful! Lori Holt is awesome. I'm currently participating in her Scrappiness is Happiness QAL.
Really love your videos. When I retired I found the idea of quilting attractive, and once I watched LorI Holt videos on YT and Missouri Star Quilt it really helped me turbocharge quilting knowledge and avoid lots of painful mistakes. I am such a fan of Lori Holt also and have her book on Scrappiness. Like you , I like the muted colors also. When I made one of her Scrappiness quilts I used mostly the teal and denim blue and reds and pinks for a red white and blue theme quilt (Lincoln Logs pattern) . My next quilt I used the flag pattern in the scrappiness book but modified it to just the stars and no red and used the many denim blue fabrics and also the white backgrounds including the cloud fabric with the denim blue farm text print for background and backing. I love her denim blue color and more patterns will be coming in calico and hometown collection. I also used her crossstitch print on off white for a quilt with the Fourth of July,/ Summer vibe along with red plaid. Hope you will continue to share your and clients quilts. It’s 12:52 am and I’m cross stitching as I watch your videos. I’m up to Dec 14, I think #5. I was watching favorite knitters on TH-cam while I was knitting one night in May 2020. Flosstube popped up 😮 what’s Flosstube. It took me one video with Niecie Lynn to fall down the rabbit hole. My first project was the red Cardinal from BBD book Home for the Holidays.
Beautiful quilts thanks for sharing…. Love the pumpkin one especially. Here in Scotland it was turnips that we scraped out to make lanterns for Halloween…!!!
@@tammieearnest much smaller than pumpkins,….they have the consistency of raw potatoes…therefore really difficult to scrape/cut out to make lanterns…. They are lovely to eat when cooked and mashed with butter and cream… part of our national culinary dish,,,,haggis, turnips and potatoes.. Luckily the kids here now get pumpkins at Halloween to make lanterns. Happy quilting…

Yes! I watch both Olivia and Christy. I also enjoy The Saltbox Stitcher and the Colorado Cross Stitcher!
