I worked in Amazon's return department and basically all the return packages get unloaded from the trucks, put on an assembly line and I would take those packages. They train you to open and check for obvious damage or smells. If it's light damage then they want you to repackage it so it can be resold. If it is severely damaged then it gets sent somewhere else. Either goes back to the company or a different part of the warehouse to see if they can fix it. There's definitely no special person who checks for fakes or counterfeits and honestly the people that work there have been rumored to take stuff too. The training at Amazon is literally one day, after that you're "set to go". If authenticity is what you're after then definitely order from elsewhere like the reputable companies or sites. Amazon is a good company to get things for cheap but they're just the middleman. It's easy to getaway with returns as a consumer which is probably why you keep getting the replicated sights.
@@dariuskincaid also, thank you for your videos! Your review on the canik mete mc9 pushed me to get it and I'm convincing my dad to get the tp9 elite sc. Keep up the great work!
I was looking into a an X300 but was waiting for the following month to purchase. My wife surprised me the next week with the X300. She was so happy that she found it for $40. Where I asked…. She said “SHEIN” WTF? Love my wife. I purchased the real one soon after. Crazy.
Great video, great advice. For big purchases like that I don’t order from Amazon. I go to my brick and mortar… I know I’m paying usually $30-50 more than Amazon but I know my guy I’d rather just save an extra pay check and get the peace of mind.
Appreciate this, I've only really dealt with optics for rifles, but wanted to get something for my glock and wasn't even hip to counterfeiting optics, like obviously people make fakes of everything but optics is insane
This is a big problem with power tools and car parts too. Also from what I've heard a lot of authentic products on Amazon and eBay are qc rejects that were originally auctioned off as a lot
I've experienced this myself. I've gotten away from buying expensive accessories from Amazon or Ebay. For that reason, I prefer to go through a reputable online retailer, if not locally. That has resolved this issue for me. 👍
I’ve done the same but even some of these online retailers aren’t immune. I’ve gotten some suspect stuff from optic planet before that I had to return 🥲
If it works , it works. Chances are they are manufactured by the same Chinese manufacturer. This is not an exclusive patented technology that only one company has
Buy from a reputable retailer. Amazon and eBay aren't that. I will never buy anything gun related, prepper related, self defense related off those sites. 1. Both eBay and amazon are extremely anti gun and 2. I don't want to support those companies.
I've got a counterfeit Sig Romeo 5 red dot and a Magpul MS1 sling. The optic failed and I sent it to SIG for warranty and was told they couldn't do anything for me because it was fake. The sling was obvious when compared to a real one, the nylon was not the same thickness. Now I only buy from reputable companies like Primary Arms, PSA, Brownells, Midway
Reason to stay away from places like Amazon cause it might be cheaper even by a few dollars. Buy it from a known retailer even if it's expensive. You're buying upgrades & accessories that can aid you in protecting your life & others. Don't be cheap on it
All my lights and even my rmr is also from Amazon. Always check with my reals one i got from the shop and all them check out. Been working since last year. Always check your stuff.
I ordered xs Sights for my glock off of Amazon and someone had swapped out there plastic glock sights and put it in the xs package. so i ended up getting their old plastic glock sights.
Not as bright and kind of holds zero after like 200 rounds. Glass doesn’t seem as stony and overall doesn’t seem as good of quality but otherwise it’s aight lol
I recently bought a MECANIK O1 on Amazon and it’s sealed in plastic wrap before you even get to the box so I’m Praying it’s real because I only paid $50 less than retail!🙏🏻🇺🇸💯🤙🏻
One thing I've learned about gun TH-camrs is... They all get paid to discredit other products and prop up the brands that are paying them. Just a fact.
Not actually like that, we do get products sent to us for free in exchange for a review. Most Utubers then feel as though they should give it a good review. I however enjoy discrediting crap from Chine Uh and Millennials.
i see what you're saying but zero people only have access to amazon... its generally a bad idea to buy gun stuff on amazon. If you have access to amazon you have access to brownells or optics planet idk where you got the idea that some people only have amazon.
Don’t buy this stuff from anyone accept a reputable company that sells guns and/or gun accessories. Trying to get off cheap can will have these results
@@dariuskincaid Nothing privileged about it. I still feel the sting of paying a premium for quality. But, hopefully I only feel that sting once, instead of feeling it several times from buying inferior products

Funny thing is , both the "real" and the "fake" may be manufactured by the same Chineese manufacturer.

Euro optics is a great dealer.
By far the best place to get optics!!

One more thought amazon says they are going to compete with Temue. The current king of camera fit sales.

Damn DK, that's some grimmy ish right there lol
It's always been said. Never buy gun parts from Amazon. Sometimes eBay is okay as long as it comes from reputable sellers like Euro Optics.
Darius, weird question from left field, do you pick the commercial break times, or is that YT AI?

Damn 😂
Are they charging Trijicon prices?
RMR would be an excellent choice if ONLY they had better battery access. For that reason alone is why I chose the SRO.
Does it run though .

A lot of store fronts on Amazon are fake. Learn this through car detailing companies.
