EPSON SUCKS. I have 2 Epson and they will now not accept INK. "Ink cartridge not recognized" Emptied out reset, turned off and back on replaced cartridges still the same old thing. WF-7820. On the other hand I have 3 Canon and 2 HP printers that work flawlessly. Personal feeling EPSON SUCKS.
When loading up the inkchip activation no device is being found, the printer is connected and the firmware successfully updated the printer but the activation process is not working, is there any way to fix this?
Great Video. Only one issue, I would have made a part 6 step showing to turn off updates before your final thoughts. I'm sure many will forget to do that or wont know to do it.
I'm confused when you say put in serial # of printer. My serial # on side of my wf7720 doesnt look anything like yours. I dont have dashes in between mine & it says error when I put it into the bar. Where do I purchase activation code. It never asked me for anything to purchase.
@@tamiculver8236 I got it figured out. You dont put in serial # of your printer in that bar, you put in the activation code they give you once you purchase it from there site where you got the firmware software from. They will email you the code.

For those of us using refillable cartridges, the ink indicators don't really work anyway (with chips) because the printer doesn't know when you refill it.
I have a question do you know anything about the print heads I have a 7720 and it prints and everything but the nozzle check shows missing lines now I have done head cleaning I’ve done the paper towel trick I’ve even hit it with head cleaner to unblock clogs and nothing is working so I was wondering if you have any insight on what could be causing my nozzle checks to be missing like 2 lines out of each color like I’ve said I’ve done everything you could possibly do to full head clean and get rid of head clogs and I always get the same results again
I wish you had a paper jam error for wf7720 ive looked for 36 hrs for a paper jam for there to be no piece of paper jamming anything. Please help me before i lose my whole business because of a fale paper jam please

No, to my knowledge, a chipless firmware doesn't exist for it.

Sadly no 7820 yet. Currently using 7610, there isn't even support for that.

Yep its actually easy but my printer blinked never said ready. Activation code can not be recognized or invalid. Gee and no-one will contact me.

What if you update epson software by accident? Will reinstalling chipless reverse the missing lines when I updated the epson firmware?
If you updated firmware, you would likely need to reinstall the chipless firmware.

As far as I know, it doesn't work with a Mac. Sublimation ink from any brand can be used.

That sounds like an issue with the cartridges. Have you tried removing and reseating them?

How do you know if you are running out of ink if it always shows full?
You keep an extra set on hand and when the prints stop working you check/replace the cartridges.

Most of the cartridges come from the same place. I recommend the sublimation ink + cartridge kit from Cosmos Ink.
