Three observations: Rick, you are the man for throwing Doug $100 over asking on the ET advert without any hesitation. Doug was the man to begin with for giving you $150 below Price Charting on the NES bundle. The guy willing to sell you the 5 screw Goonies II for $10 because you told him about it was also cool. Good
The thought process of "This is going to a new home in your collection and you're not trying to make money off of me so here's a good deal" Is my favorite. Doug is a god
You could never go wrong with choosing to do business with Doug. Great Guy, awesome friend and treat everyone with so much humility. #humble business ❤🎉
I also enjoyed meeting Doug. He sold me one of the missing pieces to my favorite collection (big box, not console). And then was super nice and thanked _me_ when I shared it on social media (like with Rick he was happy it was going to a good home). I’ve always enjoyed that Retro World Expo is “in my back yard.” I don’t travel much for this sort of thing, and I always enjoy myself at the con every year. I missed a handful of years after it moved to Hartford, but I went to one of the early ones where it was like two minutes from where I work.
Thank you so much! I have a few weird things I've been looking for forever, this would make a fun video idea, not asking for help, but documenting manuals/inserts that are unobtanium!
Doug is a stand up dude! Knowledgeable, has the goods, and isnt out to just make dollars off everyone. Sincerely just out there helping others. #salute
Thank you so much! I've been in the scene for decades. I try to spread the message that nothing is more effective in collecting than positivity and treating others as you'd want to be treated. Almost every crazy item in my collection has come from a relationship formed in the community!
Great job with the NES hunt today! But that E.T sign for Atari was the cherry on top for me. I know the actual E.T Atari game was awful to play, but anytime you can find collectible signs for gaming systems as old as Atari is awesome. I can't believe that kind of collectible stuff is still being discovered to this day!
😂😂😂😂😂😂 I mean it's likely worth more and he has a store so profits are important. And most atari games are very simplistic but c'mon you ain't peonid resale you should have games in your heart.
You really should have struck up more of a conversation with the guy that gave you a hard time about Stadium Events. We literally call him Nintendo Jeff, he moved up there from Tulsa, OK. Started collecting a very long time ago, has a massive collection, full sets of multiple systems (minus Stadium Events lol). He is a really cool guy! My husband bought so much off of him of his extras before he moved.
Dude, that shirt is so epic. Here in de pal region is better known as dragon's fury and that is one of my al time favorite games. That game is also the reason I started collecting again 10 years ago. FYI, about the licensing on NES games. If I remember it correctly, NTSC games have a gold oval Nintendo logo on de labels and the PAL versions have a gold circle logo. That's the way I kept them apart before the internet. Correct me if I'm wrong on this. Great episode again, really love you're content.
Rick..you should hit the Midwest Gaming Classic in April up in Milwaukee....been going since its inception, and its only been getting bigger every year...vendor hall is insane
Totally awesomeness Brother. Congratulations on Your finds. Thanks again for sharing Your passion and adventures from Toronto Ontario Canada 😎 👍 ♥️ ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️📺🕹🔊🎶🎶🎶✨️✨️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️✨️✨️💯💯💯💯💯
Man i need to find some of these Gameboys and especially some Pokémon games you always seem to find everywhere. I cant even find the cartridges alone but if I could find some with box or even sealed in person it would be amazing. Like a ghost town around me locally in Upstate NY.
You have no idea how many times I’ve told someone what something is worth, just to have them tell me the price is the price. I just say thank you and buy it with a clean conscience lol
Happy New Year my friends! Some slight audio issues for some reason but its a good one, make sure to stick through it until the end!
WHAAAAT-UH? Never mind, I'll watch. Thank you as always.
you should get Recca for the famicom, its one of the best games on the nintendo
Happy new years Rick!
wish you had a better camera or better upload resolution... it says 1080p but... its bit blurry.
Hey Mr. Rick…for someone with a sega intro, you sure don’t show the love with the game hunting/collecting. Cmon, kiddo, show the love, show the love!
Doug is a real Class Act , this guy is just out here helping out people in the community with his great prices
Thank you!

Doug might be the nicest collector/vendor ever. So kind, thoughtful and full knowledge
Thank you!
That’s awesome Rick that you were being honest with the guys in regards to the 5 screw game and ET sign.
The thought process of "This is going to a new home in your collection and you're not trying to make money off of me so here's a good deal" Is my favorite. Doug is a god
Damn, Doug knows his stuff, what a solid guy 👍
Doug seems like an old wise nerd that gives off Dugeon Master vibes when he talks about his hobby
I made a video talking entirely about the characteristics of first generation Atari joysticks. This characterization is very accurate :)
One of the coolest things you can see is when you make buddies that help you out with your quest. Love the journey

Doug's a good person i hope he finds all things he need for his collection.🙏 sending you positive vibes

Everyone needs a friend like Doug in their life.
Great video--thanks for bringing the audience along as you try to complete your NES set! And Doug with the hookups--what a great dude!
Dude Doug seems super awesome. I wish everyone was as awesome salesman as him.

Doug: the Man, the Myth, the Legend!!!!!
OMG...Boulder Dash...I played the hell out of that game on the c-64, never even knew it was ported to the nes
not as good as the C64 and Atari version...they changed the main character and thats one of the reasons it ruins it for me
Doug is awesome, he seems like such a knowledgeable and nice guy
Doug giving me Steve Wozniak vibes! What a sweet guy ✌️
The guy who sold the athletic world game is an awesome dude. Met him at the long island retro
i wish there were more channels like yours, love these hunt videos

The atari et was way worse lol
@@joshnewman6667 Yup comment corrected, I meant ET for Atari, but I have this thing were when I get excited I get my trivia a little jumbled.

😂😂😂😂😂😂 I mean it's likely worth more and he has a store so profits are important. And most atari games are very simplistic but c'mon you ain't peonid resale you should have games in your heart.
If it wasn’t E.T., he probably wouldn’t have cared as much; such a historical game as well, for better or worse
That has to be Curtis floating around behind Rick in the beginning of the video 😂
the sound effects in this video are amazing/ breath taking
The Immortal is one of my favorite NES games. Short game, but nice creepy dungeon vibes.

I still have vivid memories of playing E.T. on the Atari as a kid and having no idea wtf was going on in that game.
That sign is DOOOOOPE! You're slowly turning me into a signage guy Rick!

U know Doug is the human video game encyclopedia.
I always do well when video games come up at my local trivia night, but I'm horrible at NES Jeopardy! (well, I'm passable at Jeopardy Junior)
Dude, that shirt is so epic. Here in de pal region is better known as dragon's fury and that is one of my al time favorite games. That game is also the reason I started collecting again 10 years ago.

I can second that Rick is not a scumbag

Is there a tracker, or blog on the full NES collection?
That ET piece was awesome.
