- Documentary about Minecraft alpha 1.0.16 versions. These versions don’t officially exist, but they were created alongside the official releases of Minecraft. This resulted in two separate development branches of the game that occurred simultaneously. The branching path consists of various 1.0.16.05 versions that not only introduced new features, but also weird and creepy anomalies. This is a creepypasta/ARG that’s actually playable in Minecraft.

What did i just witness? A cooler version of minecraft? Tbh having some mysterious stuff in minecraft or in your world seems fun and cool to explore. Especially the iron doors. Its a cool concept how you can enter a different world and be able to access different worlds too. Also whats surprising are the textures and devs. The textures suit the og textures which is cool. They are apparently playable based on my research (I didn't actually play the alpha versions myself, though), but since they're not official versions, there is a chance that they may contain viruses/malware. I didn't hear any reports of this happening, but it's something to keep in mind.
I'm glad you like the video! Yeah, the creators of the ARG did a good job making the alpha versions creepy and mysterious. The iron doors and hub world are a pretty neat idea. There are some videos of people playing the alpha versions, but the iron doors don't seem to work, unfortunately.

This is my favourite Minecraft mystery / ARG, it feels like one of those fever dreams with the weirdest shit ever but it's so fun being in their presence

The video isn't bad but retrogamingnow's video explains the clips in actual order and goes into detail, like you never mentioned that one of the shadow figures you showed earlier in the video was from the clip where the player encounters the "time blocks" and you say how a video is unlisted for some reason but there is a reason it is unlisted. Also you briefly go over the hidden files but never tell any of their meanings.
My goal of the video was to give a brief overview of what the ARG was about and to just highlight the most interesting parts. I wasn't trying to do a deep dive video like Retro, which is fantastic and much more comprehensive. I wanted to make the video a lot shorter and so I didn't want to cover every single minute detail of the ARG. There was so much information to sift through, but not everything was worth mentioning. The main point I wanted to get across was that there's a weird version of Minecraft that has weird things in it, and so here are some of those weird things.

FYI, the light beam I think is what you see before deploying your army of Patapons. Given the timeframe, I don't think P2 was released yet then. But it could be anachronous to 0.16, but no one claimed MC versions cannot be played beyond their expected timeframe, even if deceptive method like kld OS were deployed, so P2 is still on the table.
I don't know how deep the ARG goes, but assuming it's more than shallow, and Shadows of Collusus is somewhat relevant, the story is this Patapon race is lost and invaded by other races of similar look (4 limbs and an eye for a head), and you happen to be the god leading them and holding their hands to sovereignty and It, something I don't think was revealed. A princess of theirs calls you personally (not 4th wall breaking but you are always part of the story), and calls It, so for one It is different from you the player, and It is referred to in the 3rd person, with no implying you are It. You play the game by beating the drums (with X, O, triangle and square) to earth's beat.
About the machine thing, I do think there is some relevance to it to MC. The gaint things and SoC definitely prove an effort was put into the ARG there. So the machine thing could mean just the laptop, but could relate to P.
WhenI think of a machine, I think of 3 things in P. First 2 are two types of patapon units, one is Dekapons, a relatively a gaint to Patapon units, think of 7ft people relative to general population, that are by no means gaints to us. The other is a unit using robotic arms for a weapon called Robopons. Nothing noteworthy, but the machine/mechanical part of them.

Last is 2 boss types, one is more relevant than the other. Note that all bksses are by comparison gaints to the Patapons, but the shape and structure (if mechanical) is what made me think of them. 2nd is Cannos type, building-like beings with armory like catapults and morning stars built unto them. 1st is Gaeens, what we would call a gaint statue if we see one.

I'm not on a tangent, but throwing as much info that may relate to SoC and corrupt world or transcendental (4th wall breaking) beings.
But I could be totally mistaken; maybe it's not the Collusus lart in P, but watee creatures or maybe just the single eye symbolism, or just the laptop and nothing more! Maybe the brand-name, Predator or Legion.

Been playing minecraft for years. Most of this stuff like hub worlds can be done on servers easily. It’s a common thing for servers to use “multi world systems” where one server will host multiple worlds. I had one myself.
The iron doors thing is most likely part of the multiworld plugin. Someones taking you for a ride i think.
As for the shadow figures and invisible people, that’s spoofed also with plugins. There is a tonne of conspiracy theories about herobrine and loads of faked stuff. There’s so many plugins and mods to fake this stuff.
Also the “world vanishing” is either a world hole bug or someone shortening render distance by one of the F keys
Thanks for the insight. Yeah I figured that some of the stuff was due to things like mods and clever video editing. I don't play Minecraft so I was curious to know how they were able to pull off some of the things. I guess plugins would be the answer. For the iron doors, I figured that they didn't actually lead anywhere and was just a quick cut. But it would be pretty neat if they actually worked via plugins.
@@MissingNumber Don't get me wrong, there was some strange builds of minecraft. In quite a lot of the beta phase you used to get chunks which didn't load properly sometimes, this would create a massive hole in the world. If you tried to fall in this hole you would be stuck for eternity unless you logged out and back in. The holes could also swallow your houses but again a simple relog fixes it.
Also there were no account suspensions until fairly recent versions of minecraft. Like, we're talking the most up to date version and maybe one before that. There were of course server bans, but no one was sent to some mysterious realm after being banned from a server.
