What if the frame *IS* a portal, a portal to Minecraft dungeons, the reason sounds come from both games, showing the story on both sides, perhaps they needed the warden to kill the wither to activate it. It's a longshot, but possible.
@@sboy2044 It IS from the same universe but the End and Nether along with the Overworld could very well be bundled in the same Universe as well. It has been theorized that the Nether is what lies below the bedrock layer of the overworld. Also the appearance of a sun and a moon and even distant stars in the night sky means there is many other solar systems with their own planets, this could be why the End seems to be in an endless void possible being a pseudo galaxy with all it's island or another (and possible more likely) idea is that the End is in a very large but still forming star system and the island being in a spot similar to the asteroid and Kuiper belt in our solar system. This explains why a portal is needed because you can't simply fly back to the End once you have obtained an Elytra due to it's great distance. Also the End in MC:D has different plants and animals meaning it may be the Ancient Builders but at a point in time when they were weaker and haven't fully killed off and exploited the End for it's resources. And the Vengeful Heart of Ender (which the the Heart of Ender after it gets defeated) used to be the Arch Illager. The follow this up there are tons and tons of illagers throughout the levels of the game meaning this race used to be abundant and powerful with the ability to take over and destroy villages and capture their residents. Now in the main time of MC:J the illagers are few and far between having the occasional outpost, the illagers also need the assistance of a player to lead them to a village showing how far they've fallen since the events of MC:D (which according to this theory has taken place in the past). A little something to think about. :)
@@fshmeft You got a lot of stuff completely wrong. The Arch-Illager is not the Heart of Ender. The Heart of Ender is the Orb of Dominance, who is a sentient entity who used the Arch-Illager as a puppet to fulfill its goals. The reason for the abundance of illagers is due to then having taken over the land, which is literally the plot of Dungeons. The plant-life in the End could be due to the Orb of Dominance/Vengeful Heart of Ender’s presence in the dimension, as it is implied to have a strong connection to it. It has been stated a bunch of times that the Nether and End are dimensions, which wouldn’t make sense if they existed in the same space as the Overworld. It is extremely likely that Dungeons takes place after the base game. This is due to the fact that the end portal is already open, and how in Dungeons the undead were immune to the sun by the Orb, when in the base game the undead clearly still burn in daylight.
6:50 BROOO, i just realized, the echo shards are basically amethist shards, because amethist is used in the calibrated sculk sensor to be more precise and capture sound better but is used for souls instead of sound like the recovery compass, how the warden pray intruder creatures to get more powerful and get the experience with the catalist that is droped by him. That is why this thing makes a lot of sens in the dark lore of the Minecraft !
The use of the endersents might also be alluding to some connection between the sculk and the end. Like, has nobody mentioned the fact that sculk and ender pearls have uncannily similar coloration?
Yeah, something I've always wonder is why does the nether portal look like it would be the end portal? Like it purple and black and colours, and the portal to the end look like scull related, it's always confused me
Here's my theory on disc 5: The first section is showing people in the deep dark, based on the dripstone and other cave-affiliated sounds. It is an army fighting something, which is why we hear many people and sirens blaring. I think they are fighting the wither, which forced them to go beneath the surface. That is also why I think the ancient cities are more likely to appear under mountains, because it provides extra protection against the wither. Anyways, the wither you can hear creating explosions getting closer to the city. You can also hear a lever and a huge gust of wind in the track, indicating that the army has opened some sort of gate. That is then the end of section 1. After the music plays, you can hear the machine coming to life as the people try to escape through the huge center portal, which I believe they built as an emergency escape. That is why it is made of reinforced deepslate, because it is one of the few blocks the wither can't break. However, something else comes out of the portal instead, the sculk. That is why you can hear sculk shriekers and sensors. The warden then proceeds to get summoned, and kills the wither. You can hear the slowed down death of the wither in the track. The people then view the warden as a hero, but they soon find out he is deadly to them as well. That is why I think they built many representations of the warden, like the small statues around the city. Eventually, however the sculk gets too powerful and the people have to leave. That is when I think they made the strongholds, to try and get away to another dimension to escape the sculk. Also, any static or random cuts in the track I believe are just the fact that it was broken into shards, so it's not completely perfect. It's just a theory, but I think it's a pretty good one. Feel free to agree or disagree in the replies.
I think this theory is pretty good. could be they summoned the warden, could be they were trying to get away from the wither, but either way it's not super hard to guess that they were the ones who ultimately brought the warden. the one thing I don't entirely agree on is that they'd have to escape to another dimension to avoid the sculk, since it clearly can't really spread too far and they'd want to wait before they knew they were gonna be overrun, my only guess is that another wither must've been spawned but ultimately I think it's just a plothole for now that will get resolved later. other than that, i'm pretty sure this is the most plausible theory.
Something I've tried, which seems explaining, might help. Place three jukeboxes, count to 5, when you've done that place disc 5. Continue counting, until you've counted to 11, and then place that disc. Continue counting to 13, then place disc 13. It sounds connected in some way.
I’ve seen this but I doubt it because in mojang, when you make a feature with a backstory (yes, backstory), you can’t say what that backstory is to any other employees (Idk why, but it’s in the dev book). Of course, the dev book was made after c418 left but even then how would Samuel Åberg (I think is his name) would know that. But since c418 left minecraft we might never know :(
Absolutely brilliant. You put a clicking ticking background music over the sounds effects and chimes you are analysing to make sure the listeners get confused whether the effects they are hearing are coming from the back ground music or not.
I think that the giant catalyst in the deep dark city is a Interdimensional Travel Device (A device that allows travel between dimensions/alternate universes/planes of existence/etc) that the ancients built two escape from something and they couldn't control it and they ended up at the bottom of a cave that they could not get out of and that's why they went Extinct before the player spawns in the world to meet them.
I feel this might be something else entirely. The ancient builders built the ancient cities but it too is possible that they built dungeons. We know they could access multiple dimensions. What if the disc5 is the story of the ancients, them escaping from the surface to the underground , then the warden appearing, the fight, escaping to nether and from there to the end. The unfortunates transforming into the beasts who will guard the entrance, while some would create duplicate copies for someone to rescue them. Food for thought
maybe the reason the story has random stuff in it like phantoms, amethyst breaking etc. is because its not complete, next updates might have new lore connecting to disc five making the story whole

This makes so much sense. There’s two stories at once and it makes sense, remember in a video about the warden you said the ancient builders split into two groups? One stronghold and one ancient city. The dungeons could be the story of the stronghold and the Minecraft could be the ancient city
Disc 5 is truly a big mystery and I'm glad to see it covered. Skulk, the Warden, and the disc are clearly linked because of the design, but the breaking down of the music is unique. Great video! Quick edit: The link with dungeons is crazy and also the linking of the universes is very unique. That shot of the cave as you piece together where it must have taken place is something I wish was in more videos.
Alright, I'm just spit balling here. The voice whispering "secrets" and placing soul sand might be Ivor from Minecraft story mode constructing the wither storm. We already know that at one point there was wither storms in the nether due to the giant wither fossils in soul sand valleys. So it's not completely out of the picture that they might be adding something from story mode to Minecraft to add more evidence Mojang has been focusing on the past and history of Minecraft recently.
No, not the mcsm wither storm. This wither storm is far far far far far far far, far, far, far, far older than the old builders and the wither storm this is the ancient wither storm

im glad ur still doin well now, i was here when u were doing the hermitcraft meme videos. i also got a heart from you, its on the redstone rulebook guide video
I feel like the merging of a java and a dungeons story is probably because of the fragments that you craft the disk out of. You may have accidentally grabbed a wrong piece. This would also explain the out-of-place sounds like the amythest.
the fact that your production quality has skyrocketed since your older videos which are still amazing is itself amazing, the time you put into these is insane, and i love the few bits of shitpost irony tossed into an extremely well-made analysis. incredible job bruh fr
What "analysis" it's literally made-up stories based on Minecraft, especially the auto-generated structures. The "lore" doesn't actually exist. It's a trick. in this case generated from HEAVY reaching over discs that were 100% just meant to be used as eerie audio texture for spooky areas.
Bruh the Stronghold mission of Minecraft Dungeons takes place near AMETHYST Geodes, which itself is part of a Lush Cave. It could explain all the Silverfish as well as the Amethyst sounds.
1:35 i always thought the clicking was because all the shards were crafted together, there would be bumps or something where they were joined so as the needle goes over the bumps on the jukebox it makes a click

3:50 What if the portal opens and makes the weird sound and the portal connects to random place in minecraft dungeons universe EDIT: Oh okay so they are in same universe so my next quess is that the portal in mid ancient city connects to some place with the weird endermen from minecraft dungeons instead
I think the vengeful heart of ender wanted to stop the ancient builders, because they were trying to conquer all of minecraft, including the end, the different worlds (Dungeons, legends, story mode) and also every world.
I think it could also hint that the giant thing in the ancient city is a portal, because these ender things from dungeons are guarding a portal, why not an other one too?
What if they just brought in the warden or made it from the skulk beyond to kill the wither because they could have just summoned it down there if it was for power
Im proud seeing you get popular, i remember when you only had 200k subscriber and now you have 1.4m, you blew up when you uploaded the escape rooms video, and then the 30 secrets in Minecraft Which blew you
This so called block game has a multi dollar bussiness so I don't even know what you guys want to mean by saying block game, even tho it might not look much, huge work and planning goes even before adding a smallest change in Minecraft
The golden apple in the city chest suggests needing it for something youre supposed to do there. What if youre supposed to draw the warden to the center, then stand with the frame between the player and the warden, then let it try and attack you with the sonic boom thing. Maybe you eat the golden apple beforehand in order to survive the boom, since the player has to stand infront of the warden in order to direct the boom properly
One thing has always struck me about Minecraft is it feels post apocalyptic. I have not played dungeons yet, but could dungeons be set in the past? Not quite the times of the ancient builders maybe, but that could explain why there are certain mobs not present in the vase game, but their sound files are on the disc, they used to exist (lore wise) in the game
Can anyone help me with the music at 6:55? I swear I've heard it before but I can't seem to remember where from. My guess is Rain World but I can't find it. Edit: It might be reminding me of the song The Captain from the Rain World soundtrack.
i believe the portal in the deep dark might lead to a place where we could find the rmobs from minecraft dungeons it might lead to a place that conects some dimenseons and / or could give us a HUGE lore update in the future !!! ...
Does this mean that the end happened because the warden is guardian intent on protecting the remnants of some past from the end??? The wither might be from the nether dimension, symbolic of the fact that the over world and the nether are under attack, while the warden acts as the over-worlds gaurd Ian to something else???
I have another theory, it is mainly the same as yours but a crucial deference at the end, I think that the structure in the center of the city is both an artificial catalyst and a portal to the dungeons world, and the killing of the vengeful heart of ender sent its soul/exp thru the portal/catalyst and caused it to lose control, covering the city in more skulk than expected and destroying the machine which is why the player can't turn it on.
but isnt it wired taht a random Wither just "spawns" out of nowhere and the fact that wither is summoned using soulsand witch is frequently used in the ac. city (crafting laterns ect)
Fun Fact: In Minecraft, Beacons, Wither, Soul Sand, Soul Soil, etc, use souls to power. This happens in Minecraft Dungeons, when you use Soul Powered artifacts. You can also harvest souls with certain bows, armor, and melee weapons.
There should be a story for the minecraft journey. Not like dungeons or story mode. Like a proper story that you can play through, that links parts of the nether, the end, deep dark and even lack of civilisation or unusual mobs. Who knows, a new biome might hit, and I reckon they should add a deep dark equivalent in the nether. As the nether should deserve it more, being a mysterious and dead place. Maybe the nether will get a story where it was once normal, and then burned down and destroyed. So the nether was the original world and they retreated to the "overworld"
it would fit the fact about the story of how that one painting shows the wither with a red background. The three adventurers, most likely the adventurers, parted ways and agreed that each adventurer has tasks. The first to summon the wither, and he/she died right after, the second, to do the ritual and summon an army as a backup in case anything goes wrong, and the third to defeat the ender dragon even if it means trapping him/she in there.
Interesting Im not sure if anybody mentioned this theory but hear me out. A part of disk 5 is probably made when the ancient city wasn't taken over by the sculk. We know that sculk spreads when mobs die on the sculk thingy. Things got a little outta hand and assuming the ancient city had a large population (hence ancient CITY) there must have been one too many casualties down there and that is why there is the sirens going off and the dungeon phantoms that appear when teammates perish. Edit: Nvm you guys practically said what I just said haha
I think the ritual is made to travel between platforms (java and dungeons) and that may explain the overlay. And possibl something went wrong causing it to be unstable so everything sounds overlayed.

2. the official novel about the arch illager mentions an ancient war between the orb of dominance and the ancient buiders (thats how the orb got trapped in that mountain in the first place) the encounter with the endersent could imply that the disc was made during this war.
3. you put my two previous thoughts together and suddenly, maybe it isnt a wither, but an army of endersent (and probably enderlings and who knows, maybe a dragon too)
wait... that list was connected...
hmmmmmmmmmmm
Where was that mentioned in the book? All I remember was Archie wondering if the Orb had a victim before him and if they were able to be freed.
Normal Minecraft players: bro what is this sh** atleast make it rewarding
Minecraft lore: *its free real estate*
Disc 5, 11, and 13 fit together really well
im glad ur still doin well now, i was here when u were doing the hermitcraft meme videos. i also got a heart from you, its on the redstone rulebook guide video
I feel like the merging of a java and a dungeons story is probably because of the fragments that you craft the disk out of. You may have accidentally grabbed a wrong piece. This would also explain the out-of-place sounds like the amythest.
Wow cool video thank you (:
i love your videos
i think the caving sound
is from mc dungeons wenn a stone wand/door opens
the fact that your production quality has skyrocketed since your older videos which are still amazing is itself amazing, the time you put into these is insane, and i love the few bits of shitpost irony tossed into an extremely well-made analysis. incredible job bruh fr
That is a really good point
if you play disc 5, 11, and 13 together (start with 5, eleven seconds in play disc 11 and then thirteen seconds in play 13 it may offer more story.)
Always surprises me with the lore he uncovers
11:55 I love the greenscreen joke lol.
These videos take a long time as you guys can see from all of this reasearch. Each time we see wifies not uploading for a long time we know it is going to be a banger! Keep go wifies!
3:50 What if the portal opens and makes the weird sound and the portal connects to random place in minecraft dungeons universe
EDIT: Oh okay so they are in same universe so my next quess is that the portal in mid ancient city connects to some place with the weird endermen from minecraft dungeons instead
Wifies is the ultimate mystery solver, great video!

I've been trying to find it for a very long time, but it just doesn't work
Thanks for this crossover.
Ive waited so long for this to happen.
Love you two.
Mojang is going to see this and be like either "Lol they're never gonna figure this out" or "Oh crap guys they figured it out"
is it me or has Wifies come back 10x better than before?

2 best minecraft lore youtubers in one video? Love these and can’t wait for more from both!
That is an original interpretation.
I like that players can come up with their lore and yet it may or may not be the real deal.
Im proud seeing you get popular, i remember when you only had 200k subscriber and now you have 1.4m, you blew up when you uploaded the escape rooms video, and then the 30 secrets in Minecraft Which blew you
When the world needed him most…
He returned
(Great video btw)
That's actually a really creative way of explaining it
Nah Minecraft’s greatest mystery is why the devs won’t make minecarts faster
powered rails:
@@iyeqreal Legacy Console Edition: Has fastest minecarts
1.8 development: Tried LCE minecarts but it went horribly wrong, leading to reversion.
You jinxed it they made mine carts faster with commands
9:03 uhh wifies I dont think its a good time to promote that after you spoke about the deaths of people in the ancient city lol
I still have no idea how this guy comes up with all this from just a disc in a block game, it honestly blows my mind
This so called block game has a multi dollar bussiness so I don't even know what you guys want to mean by saying block game, even tho it might not look much, huge work and planning goes even before adding a smallest change in Minecraft
7:00 what if its the new amethyst sensor thing in 1.20?
5 is the amount of nukes coming to your exact location
This shouldn't be funny

Omgsh!
I never expected this crossover!
I'm so happy!!
Wifies is soooo entertaining and these videos are always so deep and thought out, thanks wifies!
^ to clarify, my idea is the by getting the warden to boom through the frame, it either activates the portal (If it is one) or whatever else it does
Great lore video as always!
When matpat runs out of theory because of 4:38 😂
That is some great lore! Thank you for your analysis
Here's my theory they both go at the same time
@@737e7dhs4bro they dont
Thank you for uploading great content!
Can anyone help me with the music at 6:55? I swear I've heard it before but I can't seem to remember where from. My guess is Rain World but I can't find it.
Edit: It might be reminding me of the song The Captain from the Rain World soundtrack.
Only Wifies could think this much about block game round thing
i believe the portal in the deep dark might lead to a place where we could find the rmobs from minecraft dungeons it might lead to a place that conects some dimenseons and / or could give us a HUGE lore update in the future !!! ...
I love it when this guy uploads. So cheerfully morbid.
This video has earned you me subscribing. Enjoy :)
So the nether was the original world and they retreated to the "overworld"
that would be a pretty fun twist and the soul sand would be evidence of whatever horrors transpired that could cause souls to get trapped in the sand.
Minecraft Legends is coming soon, and pretty much will be focused around Nether
it would fit the fact about the story of how that one painting shows the wither with a red background.
I’ve been waiting for this since disc 5 came out!
this has been popping up on my recommended for 3 days now, and now I’m finally watching it
The matpat of Minecraft, lets hope its not gonna be 7 YEARS
2:51 this part made me laugh hard asf for some reason. 💀💀💀
Man, out of all the crossovers no one expected *this* Great theory tho❤
Interesting Im not sure if anybody mentioned this theory but hear me out.
A part of disk 5 is probably made when the ancient city wasn't taken over by the sculk. We know that sculk spreads when mobs die on the sculk thingy. Things got a little outta hand and assuming the ancient city had a large population (hence ancient CITY) there must have been one too many casualties down there and that is why there is the sirens going off and the dungeon phantoms that appear when teammates perish.
Edit: Nvm you guys practically said what I just said haha
MATPAT: are you serious right now?
10:49 : the scraping might be copper getting scraped of wax (i think since minecraft is connecting from future versions smhow)
This has to be one of the best TH-cam videos I've ever seen
The effect of an enter scent is actually just an effect when the re-recorded part switches to the originally recorded song on it.
I hope I could sub twice for this man’s amazing content.
The Phantoms being a call of mass death happening from whatever disaster is striking the ancient city civilization is terrifying.
Would really love is this type of content aswell as the old math ones to be recontinued!
I think the ritual is made to travel between platforms (java and dungeons) and that may explain the overlay. And possibl something went wrong causing it to be unstable so everything sounds overlayed.
It would be really cool if all three Minecraft lore theorist do a massive collaboration. RetroGamingNow, Wifies, and TheGameTheorist(Matpat)
Game theorists already made a video about this, and it was much better.
