    I couldn't dare say anything bad about an enfp! they say it enough about themselves :( so I guess I will contribute this - yes, an INTP takes forever to just do something & expose vulnerabilities - but ENFPs, why are you so hard on yourselves and play the comparison game when you are so clearly amazing?

    • @acharich

      Well similar to INTPs, we are our own harshest critics & desire excellence always, but the difference is we tend criticise ourselves then use it to be better, whereas INTPs seem to come to a grinding halt when they realise they are not perfect.. 😅😅😅

    I'm loling right now. What Josiah said about how drugs are wasted on INTPs! It's because we're already in a different mindspace. We don't need alcohol either. I never understood why people would want to drink or do drugs, people give me this blank stare and have a hard time coming up with a reason when I ask in all earnestness why people do it. Maybe it'd help them understand us, to point out that our minds are already like theirs when they're under some influence and at their most philosophical and open, but without the haze.

    UNLIMITED discussions. Any, and I mean anything can be a topic. Pretty good listeners when I just want to rant/vent. Sound (and frank) advices when I need them.
    What I hate:
    Good build up but can lose track and motivation to continue what they are saying. Won't go out unless we have to go to their house and physically drag them out.

    What I hate about ENFPs ... Not sure if I know one, but I do think I know an ESFP, and I assume they are fairly similar. What I dislike most is that they're just too much sensory information for me to handle and I want to be spaced out. What I like about them is that they can carry a conversation and I can just analyze their responses without worrying too much about awkward silences. It's kind of cool to talk to any of the EP types because of that. Just getting to quietly analyze another person is always fun, and there is another layer to seeing people up close.

      SF's and NF's are completely different. Tbh as an ENFP I am attracted to introverts because I believed I'm an introverted extrovert. ESFP on the other hand I find are very draining to my energy levels because they are so much more extrovert. I also can't have abstract conversations with ESFPs, they will get bored. The only thing we have in common is how our actions are fulled by our feelings and our extroverted thinking.

      Dear INTP, If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, you'll have to be a very special tree-climbing fish. Chances are, you're not a fish at all.
      Enough weird analogies now!
      What you're describing are Sensation signals. Extroverted sensation signals to be exact. If you're an INTP, you're not highly inclined to apply extroverted functions (except maybe Te, rationalisation and Ne, Potentials (fantasy too)). The sensing extroverted world, especially if the person are generally feelers, they're inclined to stick to rhythm rather than least effort as intuitive thinkers would describe it. To them, rhythm is a process optimalisation that allows them to fine-tune their behaviour. Expression of feeling and using that, combined with extroverted sensation makes an extremely predictable person. These people, which make up at least 30% of our entire population, they're completely predictable by employing principle-driven reasoning and memory (Ti, principles). INTPs are like 3.3% of the entire population. Meaning your natural expressions always will fall outside the boat for the rest of the world. However, character is a result of personality (how you reason) + values (conditioning, environmental impact). Now I am a fan of learning how to apply different functions in different situations by employing conditioning (put yourself into the situation forcibly, get sad about it, do something about it and take rest appropriately to recover from this process). I strongly recommend it. However, there are several approaches to minimize the cognitive dissonance. One would be to address your external expressions. This is a difficult and personally hard process as it requires you to reflect upon yourself deeply, which is an INTP known weak point. The other one however, is a far simpler conditioning that works on lesser amount of people, but is generally easier to grasp. Which is saying upfront exactly who you are, but abstractly speaking. For example, INTPs are known to be analysts which is predominantly Te + Ti. Which means there's usually little room left to take in feelings too.
      Another suggestion I have, which is more in line with how INTPs think, is to look at INFPs who've adopted extroverted behaviour (like streamers, public speakers). INFPs are known as THE chameleon type personality. They're introverted, but no such thing will become visible to the outside world if they don't want to. There are tricks to manage your energies as an introvert while adopting extrovert behaviour. INFPs are generally one of the most originality seeking personalities. Aside from that, they're naturally intuitive like INTPs. You'll have little trouble understanding them given the information available on internet.

    • @vaimast
      @vaimast 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@msc8382 " INTPs are known to be analysts which is predominantly Te + Ti" error, predominantly is Ti in intp, ENTJ use Te. Jonny deep and his characters are a example of a INFP, the novelist also use his camaleonic side for his work is fantastic, they know people deeply.

    • @msc8382
      @msc8382 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vaimast generally speaking I would agree. But Ti is about principles which does not have to be fueled by realistic information. It can be entirely based on fantasy. This is what happens for many immature intp, for sure. If you're referring to these intps, yes you're right. Going through life, an intp learns to adopt verification processes to increase the effectiveness of the models. Such a person does so by employing Te. So I guess I wrote it insufficiently, intp are predominantly Ti. I was reasoning from an information processing perspective where no model is known, as one dives into when trying to understand something outside their nature. It doesn't add much to the conversation, but I'm an Infp myself.
