Thanks for the brilliant video. Now I am a 100% confident I am an INFP. This describes me better than I can describe myself.

I always seem to want to explain and understand everything and I love abstract thinking. I get very involved in maths or physic problems and I seek to understand them on deeper level and not just get the correct answer. I also use my intuition heavily to spot patterns and logical connections. Also, regarding my weakest function which is the extroverted feeling, I truly resonate with what you said and I often notice that I would say some things without realising how my words would come across until I see the reactions of other. Sometimes it comes across as funny outrageous or rude or embarrassing or cringy.

I used to think that I am an INFP but I think I used to get this result because I am quite high in agreeableness which would translate to feeling type if you use the 16personalities test which as you explained is actually flawed.

Would you say Sherlock's an INTP though?

Depends on the adaptation but BBC Sherlock is most definitely INTP.

@@MindMaverick1 Sherlock Holmes dealt with the real world--that which is tangible. You claim INTPs are interested in philosophy, economics, etc. I think that's wrong, but in any case, there's none of that in SH. I would call him ISTP. His perception is very much Se. An INTP would miss most of what he saw, but when made aware could help him connect the dots. One of my favorite games growing up was Clue.

@@MrTrashcan1I would argue otherwise. INTP can be very detail oriented. Yes. INTPs do live the their heads most of the time and they can focus on details when needed. The N part allows INTPs to see and recognise patterns immediately which is what Sherlock is good at. The S type will not be able to do this. …

Studying the personality is a mixture of science, art, philosophy..there is a study of personality. Its based on cognitive, traits, emotions ect. Even science is in the dark about the brain, mind. Science is based on a fact but fact is they can't study a single brain alive..so they study groups of people. Analysing their behaviour. Which is a study of personality.. trait theory is a scientific study of personality.
Nothing wrong with pseudoscience in itself can lead to new knowledge..understanding of the brain. Which even scientists are in the dark about. Science is great but it's because of great minds which is still widely being studied, the mind is a phenomenal thing.

I love to read the book "how to analyse people on sight" such a fascinating read. So many ways to study personality and that's what makes it so interesting. My daughter and i have done this test both have been given the intp personality type and if u analyse us both we are very much intp lol my daughters a training architect, engineering. I like to analyse personality, I will rip it apart just so I can understand the Engineering of the mind body ect. We are like robots lol.

I assume u have done the test?. Or why else would u be here, curiosity?. Have u been given the intp? I'm just curious because u made a very vague point. It doesn't sound like an intp, lol
There is more than one method of learning. Science is important but minds are even more important, its phenomenal can Science explain it, not at all. That is what makes it so fascinating

And when I connect the dots to all the personality tests, even astrology I see a pattern. Its so good, I love it.

      Mistyping.
A lot confuse innate frameworks of the brain with personality traits and special superstructures of special circumstances into their personality type.
Needless to say most of them are teens who haven't grown up completely to morph their true self.
True INTPs are really, really scarce.

@@SacrilegiousExtinction55 what are you talking about? They take that stupid MBTI test that churns out these character types and flatters them with positive traits. INTPs are very common. You might be an INTP yourself. It's that common.
