k Persson whenever I take tests I always score very high (highest, in fact) for introverted intuition and extraverted intuition, but I think I have too strong Si and too weak Fe for me to be an ENTP rather than an INTP. I think looking at your weaker functions could help.
I think this is totally fine. For me at least. I rather want to know a little bit of everything to probably connect them afterwards as I learn more and more about the world then be ultra good in just one thing. I want to be divers so I think it is a good thing👍
Same, my place is filled with things I wanted to learn, musical instruments, poi, electronic components for robotics, soldering equipment, art supplies, chemistry sets... stuff I wanted to master
Cérany, I have adopted that perspective, too. Some folks become masters at one or two things, while others develop and explore many hobbies/interests over time. Neither is better than the others. I am learning now to be more conservative in how much money I spend on a new hobby or interest because I do not always stick with that interest once I discover another one. I think on the whole, at least in the U.S. ( based on my experience and observation), mastery of skills/hobbies, is valued over exploring and trying a wide range of possible interests. There are gifts of exploring and trying lots of topics.
Just when I've decided upon a hobby or interest I've already begun to lose interest and move onto the next thing. As easy as saving money sounds it's just not an option for me. I'm always trying to get into something new and to do that I feel like I have to become an expert on it. I'll waste all my money on books about whatever it is I'm currently interested in and anything else related.
That would be Glen Gould. A slightly odd person. Splendid pianist. Alway used his own too small worn out kid size piano stool in concert. Difficult to work with. A talent.

Glenn Gould. Great example of Ne tangential rambling. However, my Ni doesn’t mind and would follow their thought train to see where it goes to next - INTJ
He says he likes running errands late at night in a city that's still lively and safe after dark. They think it’s important to stay unique and open to surprises, especially when working on creative stuff like making films, instead of just following trends to keep things interesting.
As an INTP i realised that god gave me two emotions, anger and excitement. Anger is my reaction to something that i do not understand or litterally does not compute. Excitement is from anything that does compute. I feel varrying degrees of both throughout my life. -A robot trapped inside a humans brain, AKA the INTP
Anger is your tool help solve things that dont make sense to you/us. You see things that most people dont. When you explain that "thing" and people dont get it...... or you see "things" in action that goes against your thought pattern, you/we get anger or annoyed
As an INTP, I've learned to embrace my child-likeness if that makes sense. It makes life a lot easier than forcing yourself to appear mature or cool :P
I feel like when I show the child-like side of me, people start to take me less serious when I am talking about something important, which is pretty much 85% of everything I talk about it important because I am intp and don't just talk about random things for no reason in mind. So most of the time I just appear more mature and then people take me seriously but I come off more cold probably at times.
@@MrOoglebog Fucking same. I can only be my childlike self with people who know me too well. I try to not risk how seriously others take me. I still risk it a lot.
True, I've accepted my weirdness, looks, how basic and acidic i am to people, how it affects them. I simply embraced it and still am continuing to do so.
Oh thank you. This is the most comfort word I hear. I like stay like that if I can. If I get in some group when we need to act as mature one, let use that as a reason. Hell with being a mature... I wanna stay as my self as I can
This. Holy shit I've found my people. I've accepted myself fully and REFUSE to stop being my child-like authentic self 24/7 because of futile societal norms only meant to keep people in place. The part that sucks is when people think I'm incapable of being mature when talking about deep subjects I care about. Because I always show myself as "silly" and "goofy," it's almost as if they see me as inferior or something? I remember a vivid moment when I finished a session with my therapist and told my close friends that she said I'm exceptionally mature, mentally, for my age and they just went, "Woaaah, really? No way I don't see it!" It was a small moment but it honestly crushed my view of how they really percieve me. It's great when you accept yourself, but man it's so awful being the odd one out inside AND outside.
The problem with Ti is that anything outside of its in depth models can barely comprehend it, at least unless INTPs gain an interest in it and assimilate it. I think that's where poor communication and recollection comes in. We know nothing about it, we don't care or want to explain it, so we just haphazardly table in hopes of not screwing the pooch too horribly.
My people! God we're visibly uncomfortable in the spotlight. A painful reminder, haha. I'm looking forward to your coverage of the rest of the xxTPs for comparison. Nice work, Sara.

I'm pretty sure I'm an intp. Underneath all this rationalization is buried a deep meloncholic longing. I think that's why I do it in the first place. Understand these systems and my drives and impulses, the interactions between all of this matter and all of these people and maybe I can derive meaning and purpose from it. I feel like all of this systemization is just the desire to understand man's oldest questions
As an INTP with ADHD, searching for conversation starters and small talk is the most awkward and challenging thing possible. Trying to tell a story and not being able to find the right metaphors or getting caught up on having to explain something during the story so that your listener gets a better understanding of the background, stuttering because you’re already thinking about what to say next, backtracking to explain something else you mentioned, “Ha, look at that bird...oh um what was I saying?”
ADHD doesn't exist and you, as fellow INTP, must have done the research and free yourself from the slavery of identification with a disease made to sell medicine and therapies. You deserve more.
@@carlos_caballerothat’s incredibly ignorant. Neurodevelopmental disorders are very real as brains can and are wired differently and develop differently. To believe otherwise is just to be anti-science, oblivious, edging on believing the world is flat and humans never landed on the moon.
I think it must be common for us to think that. Especially when you see almost your whole behavior doesn't fit with anyone. I often remind myself: "Ok, don't feel bad, someone in this world had to be weird and crazy, you were one of the chosen. That's the way it is". XD
INTPs make up only 4% of the world, that's why. Though, it's okay, there's still people like you. 4% of the world population is 301,200,000 people. People also find our stories wonderful.
Honestly when telling a story it feels like you’re going down on a roller coaster where your brain goes so fast that’s hard to get to the point but I feel like it makes the story that more genuine
One thing I pick up from INTP's is our speech pattern. When speaking in public we tend to have a very robotic element to our voice with these very subtle micro stammers between words, almost like Morse code. We sound like Text to Speech AI from 2029.
Lmao I feel so seen. I often feel so self conscious about the rambling, the long tangents and choppy directionless speech that completely veers from the main point, and I really make an effort to scale it back so I'm not annoying people. But it also makes me feel better to realize how interesting the story can be all the same.
I think all of us INTJs can agree that they(INTPs) are more erratic, wild, chaotic, unhinged version of ourselves. I think we are both scared and intrigued at the same time.
INTP’s are like the smart, unique, creative individuals with childish-attributes and ancient wisdom both at the same time 😂. I got an INTP friend and he is all over the place 😅
Well the problem in knowing everything is that it means it's time for the next topic, which would then mean that there is nothing more to learn and that's a kinda depressing idea.
Wanting to know everything and actually knowing everything are very different things, it's aspirational not practical. I want to know everything, I know that I can't know everything. I know there are many things that I don't know, even about things I thought I knew, and this is wonderful. I also don't mind being wrong, being wrong means I'm learning things I didn't know :)
omg that really is so funny coz in ur head it sounds way different but when we try to explain something we sound ridicilous coz its hard for us to describe some certain things that dont require straight facts

I think for some intp females our unemotional nature is confusing for many due to the population of women who are feelers by nature that it has caused us to become distant and antisocial. I get in the intp hole if you will and it is difficult for many to understand our logic based minds and the way we go about in life. I have always gone out of my way to work from home due to not wanting to be around others unless necessary....in that case I can put on a happy face do what I need to do. I can be social but it is forced. It was not the issue of English skills, but my style how to compose speech due to INTP lol

The crazy thing is that while all of these people were rambling we were following every single word.
AH SHIT TRUE
which is a mistake, since in most cases INTPs (& INTJs as well) get lost sideways in their own explanations...
People always bring up things and I'm like... when did I tell them that? And they say I brought it up a couple days ago while rambling.
True, @@annoyingbookgirl... truuuue...

Yea. Either something else gets my attention or I hear something and my thoughts go everywhere.
Are there any other intps still checking and researching if they're really an intp because I do it all the time? I am never 100% sure if I am am intp or some other type.
That's the number one feature of an intp. Vwelcome to the club
Yes
I have it boilded down to Ne Ti or Ti Ne , but it a close tie...between those functions.
k Persson whenever I take tests I always score very high (highest, in fact) for introverted intuition and extraverted intuition, but I think I have too strong Si and too weak Fe for me to be an ENTP rather than an INTP. I think looking at your weaker functions could help.
i got infp for the first test, then enfp, then enfp/entp, then intp/entp lol
I feel like I try to do a lot of things at once, learn new skills, but never get good at anything. Can't make up my mind to focus on one thing
TheHybridlogic same. I’m always trying new things, but I never stick with anything long enough to get good at it.
*2:43** That guy sounds intelligent asf but I don't know what he's talking about lol*
That would be Glen Gould. A slightly odd person. Splendid pianist. Alway used his own too small worn out kid size piano stool in concert. Difficult to work with. A talent.
ITS just like we jump from one thing to another that doesnt make sense and lost the track of words , we never make eye contact and repeat same thing util we find another thing

@@kubilayistikam6382 exactly
frick, so true
As an INTP i realised that god gave me two emotions, anger and excitement. Anger is my reaction to something that i do not understand or litterally does not compute. Excitement is from anything that does compute. I feel varrying degrees of both throughout my life.
-A robot trapped inside a humans brain, AKA the INTP
I dunno. I feel like my emotions are excited, bored, and mildly annoyed. I almost never get angry
Anger is your tool help solve things that dont make sense to you/us. You see things that most people dont. When you explain that "thing" and people dont get it...... or you see "things" in action that goes against your thought pattern, you/we get anger or annoyed
I think it's more like frustration, not anger (for me at least)
Most INTPs are atheists anyway lmfao
bro ikrr but aside from this God also gave me another emotion... apathy
All the INTP’s are interested in what they’re saying. This kinda proves they can have good communication skills in certain situations
I'm a teacher, and students have told me I teach well, so I guess we can have good communication skills.
maybe if we learn to get to the point better. but its hella interesting.
Not if you're Dyslexic as well. Grr.
My people! God we're visibly uncomfortable in the spotlight. A painful reminder, haha. I'm looking forward to your coverage of the rest of the xxTPs for comparison. Nice work, Sara.
Ze Grey Thanks a lot :) I am going to make the rest of these videos. I 'm glad you enjoyed watching this video :)

And I didn't notice the first time she said Silverback until I rewatched it now lol

@Prem Varun I'm glad that you're considering us intelligent , appreciate the compliment! 😌
@Prem Varun Yes I know you meant generally, no need to point such little detail out 👍
I've never gotten the "blunt" label. That seems more like an ISTP/INTJ thing to me because of their Se.
I’m definitely blunt with my family or anyone extremely close to me. Regular friends hell no, I sugarcoat sometimes as I don’t like offending people. Although once someone rly crosses me I have a no holds barred mentality

INTPs have the zest and energy of a child-like curiosity!

Though it requires me to rewire everything I know about human nature and I'm not gonna lie, it's been a challenge because everything is filtered through emotions for me. Sorry about that 😆

Oh thank God for the last sentence now I've found out why I feel so empty personality wise

I thought i was the only person in the world who had this type of personality until i took the quiz and started researching. This is amazing
I've been stuck in this rabbit hole since last night
As and INTP...INTP’s are very very interesting. I have a new level of respect for myself now.
As an INTP I feel like I’m watching life through a two way mirror, observing how people live. However , there’s no mirror and people think I’m weird
This never fails about the INTP. Ask them to tell a story and you get a synopsis
"This is the insides of a terrible person coming out" - LOL
I think all of us INTJs can agree that they(INTPs) are more erratic, wild, chaotic, unhinged version of ourselves.
I think we are both scared and intrigued at the same time.
INTP’s are like the smart, unique, creative individuals with childish-attributes and ancient wisdom both at the same time 😂. I got an INTP friend and he is all over the place 😅
4:33 something no INTP has said ever.
RangStar 😂😂
Well the problem in knowing everything is that it means it's time for the next topic, which would then mean that there is nothing more to learn and that's a kinda depressing idea.
Wanting to know everything and actually knowing everything are very different things, it's aspirational not practical. I want to know everything, I know that I can't know everything. I know there are many things that I don't know, even about things I thought I knew, and this is wonderful. I also don't mind being wrong, being wrong means I'm learning things I didn't know :)
RangStar well in the hypothetical situation of knowing everything, what would you do?
I don't know ; )
These comments are so comforting😂 I really thought I was extremely weird until I read other INTP's comments

Are female INTP rare? 🦄
Unless you are also 8w7 then you are selectively social....
Many of us like myself have been judged for not being a sterotypical woman.....being misunderstood is hard for many female intps at least the ones I have spoken with reguarding this.
