Oh man. I miss that soooo much. I would love to do that road at 4:00am on a moonlit night. What a buzz! Fantastic video with some great shots. Riding was also excellent and not being afraid to use the WHOLE road where you could was great to see. That white line down the middle is NOT a wall and it should be crossed if taking a bend will be made safer and the law allows. I felt like I was riding down there with you and you can't get better than that. In my head I was making every down shift, using engine braking to max effect before touching the brakes, selecting the right gear in my head long before the bend came up. Picking my breaking spots and road position. In other words, getting into the "Zone" along with you. But to ride that at night when the road is almost certain to be clear and oncoming traffics lights could be seen a long way off would be such a joy. Damn. I wish I had a bike again! Alas, no money buggers that idea up but thank you for letting me ride on the back of yours. Great stuff Baron. Cheers.
I'm a few months away from moving continents and am planning a last bike trip to the Alps to say goodbye (for now). I've been a few times and it's such an experience.
me and a few mates did that road and a few others like the furka pass and grossglockner pass back in July 2015 using 3 1970's cars there lovely places so clean and fresh and some unbelievable views.
Looking at this video, I sure do miss the Alps. I was there myself, although in Austria, at the end of August and September. August was magnificent with temperatures up to 24°C on the mountain and 32°C in the valleys. Can't wait for next year.
Great job! I really love your videos. You are the first person to inspire me to strap a camera and a mic into my helmet (AGV) and go out and talk to myself! Keep making great videos and first rides and you will have me happy! Thanks and hello from California!
awesome vlogg Mr Baron, I have the same bike over her in Oz, I still love the "pop" of the quick shift pro both up and down the gears. I'd be really keen for you to do a vid of your camera and mike set up as it was crystal clear with nearly zero wind noise. Ride safe
baron my cousin lives in switzerland, he had a 636 and lost the front goin round a bend like the ones in the video, luckily only the bike went down the side of the mountain as he wasnt goin that fast! otherwise awesome video like usual and awesome place to live!!
Awesome video, awesome ride, awesome scenery. Can't wait to take my big ol' Bertha out there.. Next year it's going to the Dolomites, so I'll have to wait until 2017.. :(
I love how your body positioning habits translate to the GS. I'd be a lazy arse and not move on that big comfy seat. Bonus points for the Road Rash comment. Loved the music in that game too.
I heard you say to yourself "Look through the turn". You don't have any problem doing that mate. Your racing background really shown through in this video as you looked well though the turn and you shifted your body weight and handled that big ass bike with ease. Well done!
you should mount your rear camera on a gimble so it shows just how far you are leaning over. The camera will stay level and you will lean in the shot.. It'd be a really cool shot to see.
love this video man. i rode there myself with my motorcycle on a vacation with my father. Did you see the large graffiti painting on one of the dam walls. Where you stopped to turn of the camera's we went for a bite under the red and white parasols there. Keep up the good vids and ride safe. Greetz from belgium.
Nice one....did you see the special guardrail just on the bend before the first tunnel? twenty odd years ago they were different guradrails then and a biker overdone it.....he fell about 7 meters don there.....glad you had a good time and no accident.. Next time give me a shout, please.....RSMF
4.09 ' You never know whst is around the corner'. You should always drive at such speed that you always know what is around the corner! Just a few years ago , I met some one around the corner. Luckily my bike could fly through hedges, which was the safer option, in those 2 to 3 second than head on over the top leaving my bike going backwards whist crumpling in to the cars front engine block. A few close shaves taught me to drive like an old man.
Hey BVG, not sure when or if you'll be going back to the grimsel but are you aware of the panoramastrasse to oberaar? There's a set of traffic light that are on green for an hour, then red for an hour as the road is very narrow. Looks amazing. Can't believe I knew nothing about it and rode right past when I was there 😣
I hate to confess but after we met me and Womble have both bought the flight vest as it looked so cool!! Now you have shown it people will know we copied you lol
beautiful ride , but Baron I now need to see a video from you with the Road Rash music , that was the Shit back in the day, track or mountain footage would suit. keep up the great videos !
I have the Kriega hydro pack, its good but i find I have to remove my chin curtain to drink from it whilst riding. OK in the summer, not so in the winter.
Hello again Mr. Von grumble. Will you ever do a video with the GS' OFFroad? like you did with the GSXR.. Also which bike you enjoy the most? GS? I mean all-around?
That scenery is just amazing!! That bike sounds lovely in those tunnels, love how you just speed up now and then to hear that boxer engine along with the shift assist. :)

Great camera angles. Love it. What a beautiful country.

Watching this with goosebumps as I plan my trip across the Alps from Ireland to North Africa next July...😎
I drove it yesterday all the way from Brienz up to Münster and back. Nice place to stop at the top.
I'm a few months away from moving continents and am planning a last bike trip to the Alps to say goodbye (for now). I've been a few times and it's such an experience.
Baron, I'm stunned. Such immense beauty! Thank you for sharing. I started my day with this video. Many thanks.

I would love to ride the road and get photographs of those amazing views, such a beautiful place.
Great job! I really love your videos. You are the first person to inspire me to strap a camera and a mic into my helmet (AGV) and go out and talk to myself!
Keep making great videos and first rides and you will have me happy!
Thanks and hello from California!
I did this tour three months ago and its been one of the best rides of my life so far! The corners are really scary though.
Bloody fantastic mate; the scenery and the camera angles. Love the sped up part stuck being a caravan haha!
I love the Grimsel pass, been over it 4 times now. You had slightly better weather than we had this year.
Amazing the diffrence between the GoPro and the other cameras. Its SO much better quality
That scenery looks like a massive matte painting.
+Vikas Acharya liking the VFX reference :)
That back view angel is fantastic!!!
amazing video and scenery. Thanks for sharing. Do you have a video on St Gotthard pass?
thats a bucket list road i want to ride. good show BVG.

Ride safe
I played so much Road Rash as a kid, a lot of memories with my older brother.
There's two thing you would never find in Florida. Mountains, and winding roads. That was a nice ride.
baron my cousin lives in switzerland, he had a 636 and lost the front goin round a bend like the ones in the video, luckily only the bike went down the side of the mountain as he wasnt goin that fast! otherwise awesome video like usual and awesome place to live!!
The footage was well worth the wait! Epic scenery!
This must be the most terrifying and yet quite a fun road to ride on. I'd be bricking it every corner in case the front slipped out or something.
Awesome video, awesome ride, awesome scenery.
Can't wait to take my big ol' Bertha out there.. Next year it's going to the Dolomites, so I'll have to wait until 2017.. :(
Forget about knee down, pannier down is where it's at!
where the fuck have my side paniers gone... Ohh yeahh
Man, that is gorgeous. I miss those colours in Europe.
One of my favourite local passes. Glad you enjoyed it :)
Looks amazing for touring, love Switzerland!
I'd say in terms of speeding fines france is better switzerland are nazis
+The Chavinator you just have to obey the first rule: always speed where the locals do...... ;)
the swiss police hide cameras behind trees in known motorbike areas
+The Chavinator are you telling me or the others?....i know, because obvious reasons....
alrighty mate go speeding in switzerland then!
Beautiful videography. Stunning.Well ridden.
I love how your body positioning habits translate to the GS.
I'd be a lazy arse and not move on that big comfy seat.
Bonus points for the Road Rash comment. Loved the music in that game too.
What is this magic?! two baron videos in one day!! Christmas has come early
I heard you say to yourself "Look through the turn". You don't have any problem doing that mate. Your racing background really shown through in this video as you looked well though the turn and you shifted your body weight and handled that big ass bike with ease. Well done!
So nice I'd love to go there next year on my triumph.
I know what you mean about going downhill, did the Pyrenees last year and always felt more confidence going up for some reason
amazing video, especially from the rear camera!
many trips to the alps and many more to come have 1200gs will travel
Wonderful footage Baron.
Absolutely stunning. No room for error for sure. If they had a pass like that here they'd prob stick a 30 limit on it like the nanny state it is lol
You've got some mad skills, my friend. You make it look so easy!
Ron C nothing hard about it
you should mount your rear camera on a gimble so it shows just how far you are leaning over. The camera will stay level and you will lean in the shot.. It'd be a really cool shot to see.
It's been a while. Good to see you back mr.Baron. 😜
Great place to ride! Thanks for sharing
Beautiful scenery thanks for sharing
Every time I watch one of your older vids you created whilst mounted on a GS, it makes me a bit sad. I miss my GS.
love this video man. i rode there myself with my motorcycle on a vacation with my father. Did you see the large graffiti painting on one of the dam walls. Love this place! Everyone should visit it at least once in their lives!
landscapes and excellent road ... very good
May have to invest in one of those "flight vests". Good idea.
Dear Baron, if you like this kind of twisty roads with great views, you should definitely check out Gran Canaria's mountain roads, absolutely amazing.
FANTASTIC vid, thank you!
Absolutely beautiful area!

that berping in the end was because of the altitude difference..
Epic scenery :) Nice camera angles too!
