- The twelfth installment of my 5000 mile solo road trip to the Balkans on board the mighty BMW R1250 GS Adventure.
In this episode, I fall in love with this country already and suggest spending a few days riding here if you can, it really is a wonderful place - but please don't ruin it! haha.

This is not a sob story but context needed to express my gratitude.
I have been locked in a deep existential despair and depression for some time now. I look forward to very very little. These episodes that are very real and not drowned in modern superficiality, your unapologetic opinion and boyish humour make them one of the few things I can look forward to.

I'm planning a trip in August to hike Scotland, but so tempted to try and find a bike to rent over there. Or change my entire plan and go to these places to see. I'm jealous of euros being so close to other countries. Haha

Probably a little late for that now but Google Maps lets you save areas for offline use. Definitely do that for the more complicated areas next time so you don't have to mess around with multiple navs.

As always Baron , a great watch , Bosnia looks stunning especially just how vast it appears with nothing much in between the towns but huge areas of countryside . Looks awesome ,and you did well carrying on in damn near 40c heat !

Great hotel! Was there few years back on a Croatia/Montenegro/Bosnia road trip. Great to drive through Bosnia other than getting pulled over in Serbian enclave for no reason than to check our car.
Road Rash was the shiz! My favorite though was Road Rash 3D on PS1. You could free roam in that game, very cool!

This series has been fabulous, the scenery, the different architecture 🙂 My maximum is 2 hours of riding since an illness, but those one or two hours when I go out are better than any medicine and keep me sane 👍

Okay. There is not a time and place where the K'THUNK sound of your club on the other guys helmet isn't funny in road rash. Still cracks me up (and their heads of course). Many of the games featured songs ended up in my 90s rock playlist. Great cut scenes

"Smell my vegan cheese!" Great series Chris, definitely on the list of countries to explore. It was the one country in the Balkans I couldn't squeeze into my recent Athens trip (other than a short stretch on the way from Split to Dubrovnik) and it looks similarly stunning. 🤜

I love seeing your mood change from episode to episode. External conditions can brighten you up, but fighting depression myself i so know there is nothing worse than being in beautiful scenery, vacation and having an episode. Also, nobody understands when there is nothing to complain about at first glance. Hope the trip lifted your spirits, enjoyed every minute watching. Thx
