  • Use this detailed guide to replace the defective battery of your Huawei P10 on your own. With macro shots and an easy-to-follow description we show you how you open your device, get out the battery, insert a new one and reassemble your P10.
    Do you need some tools for your repair? We recommend this toolkit: idoc.eu/yt-en/55970
    The battery of the Huawei P10 is fairly easy to replace, because the screen isn't glued to the frame and there aren't many different screw types.
    You need about 30 to 60 minutes. We recommend using the following tools for the repair: a Pentalobe screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver, a spudger, a pick, a pair of tweezers, a steel spatula and a suction cup. You’ll also need a heat gun or a regular hair dryer to remove glued parts.
    Heat gun: amzn.to/2FTikoV *
    To make the repair more easier use an iPlastix for removing the battery: idoc.eu/yt/56203

    Excellent video guide with clear instructions. Hardest part was to pry the battery that was stuck. At one point there was some smoke and the old battery became hot! Glad was able to replace it successfully in the end, whew... Thanks iDOC!

    Wow ! Thank you very much !!! Was a bit nervous on first power-up, but all fine. First time I’ve disassembled a phone, fantastic engineering! I’ve ruined computer connectors , how slickly those multi-connections fit ‘ just right’ ( I didn’t trap the antenna wire, I marvelled at the connector ) . I’m very grateful to you for the clear , concise instructions. Re-seating the motherboard?? . I just stuck it in and wiggled it about a bit.

    Really helpful video. Concise and to the point!
    The top speaker has failed on my P10. Bought a new speaker. Then bought a new phone. I might get a new battery and fit both and keep the old phone for use at work. I'm a welder and most of my phones go after a speaker fails...

    Do you need to remove the motherboard for this battery swap? I saw another video where they didn't remove the motherboard and still changed the battery. The motherboard doesn't seem to be obstructing the battery in any way?

      you dont need to remove the MB. I just did it myself. Followed this video to 2:45 and then just unplugged the cables and the battery went out.

    Hello, is there a way to fix the broken antenna socket from the motherboard?

    Replacing a battery on Huawei P10 is insane. I remember my old Galaxy nexus, it took less than 30 seconds to replace.

    • @koitorob
      @koitorob 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      At one time EVERY battery took only 30 seconds to replace. You just removed the rear cover. Then some genius decided phones should be sealed...

    wAS THIS MORE DIFFICULT THAN BATTERY CHANGE ON A P8? the battery was held in so strongly i bent it in half removing it.

    • @franciscomartin155
      @franciscomartin155 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's very common to bend it, next time, try doing it with a poker card with the edges moistened with isopropyl alcohol, it should be easier

      Hi Rémi,
      thats a good question! If your phone is already open, it makes sense to check whether other components need to be replaced. So if you are not happy with the duration of your battery, use the chance and replace it, too. You can also check, if other components don't work properly anymore. Here's a testing list for this: www.idoc.eu/blog/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/200429_iDoc_Checklist-EN.pdf
