Manufacturers have made this process highly inconvenient to discourage you from replacing the battery, and encouraging you to buy a new phone instead.
Easy to follow steps and all works as new, I was quoted 150 pounds
Thanks, that was very helpful
Thank you, worked great. Definitely need a real heat gun used CAREFULLY. Hair dryer on max heat and low fan is not enough. I put silicon grease on all the case fingers and latch locations on the body of the phone using a q-tip to allow easy re-assembly and then easier disassembly next time. Did not glue the battery but rather used a fine cut strip of foam (anti-static type for its high compression characteristics) at the bottom of the battery so it cannot shift in the compartment. THANK YOU!👍👍👍👍👍
It helped. Thank you
The links don't work. Looks like this phone is already considered a relic and the only option we have is to buy a dangerous 3rd party battery or buy a new phone
my phone basically broke off around the screen everywhere i tried to pry it off. Fk it take it to a phone repair guy. I'm giving this thing to a friend anyway. Was going to put the battery in i bought a year ago. I'll let him deal with it. it will never be water resistant again, that's for sure.
Thanks. I was able to successfully repair the screen in a pixel 3. The repair took 3 hours. I thought that this repair would be similar to the 4a or 5 (you can just take the screen off and replace it, it takes 10 minutes). Sadly, I was wrong. The back glass broke on mine, I think the cracks were either present before starting (the phone screen was cracked and it is very possible that the back had small cracks as well) or maybe I just broke it. Oops.
For those who’s just too lazy, here 1:22
My phone disply dimage ho gay plass rapping 😢
Dla mnie się podoba 😁👍
How careful do you have to be using the heat gun around the screen?
She showed stuff our other fellas did NOT, like the little tabs on the speaker module, reheating the glue, and disconnecting the battery! Some people should NOT be making instructionals; stick to kiddie games instead. 🤨
Thanks to your video my Moto G10 is alive and kicking once again !!
Thank you for including reassembly. I was so massively disappointed in iFixIt's "just do it in reverse" instructions for reassembly. I needed to actually see the reassembly steps not just "do it in reverse" (so rude and callous..) So thank you
Really helpful guide, thank you very much for creating these.
I dont understand why you have to remove everything to replace the screen?
Greatly appreciate it! I repaired my phone easily with your tutorial! Thanks
Ty for your thorough instructions and video. I fixed my A52 screen by my self
Wild that they would make replacing battery this complicated.
Had a slight mishap with the phone fell off the table. Dead as a dodo follow these instructions and took it apart. Case was not easy to remove used a very thin stainless prying tool to open it slightly then was able to get a thicker plastic phone cover pry tool underneath the cover, also had to warm the corners slightly. With the cover removed undid the black covers top and bottom held on with fourteen screws. Disconnected the battery plug first and reconnected last as instructed in this video then checked the connection plugs and sockets inside. Found one off the plugs had jolted loose when it fell off the table put it back together and surprisingly the phone works again.
ez
Hello friends, please advise, I replaced the battery, wireless insert, charging connector and wifi antenna on top of the camera ..., everything works, only the voice recorder has a hissing sound and nothing can be heard ... but when I record a video, the sound works ..., and again on messenger, when I record a video, the sound is hissing ... do you know where to find the microphone? Maybe I connected it wrong ... thanks <3
Link this Web site please
Why didn't you show how to remove the back cover like heating it up and things like that
Thanks, this really helped me out.
The directions were spot on! Thank you! Saved me $60 and from purchasing a new phone.
Where is the link to the screen
Hey, at 4:50 that removal is much more difficult! You tore it, didn’t you? Is is glued, or is it just a very tight fit? It warrants some comment! Plus, you don’t demo installing the tiny glue gasket into the frame. That’s tricky, it’s a fussy step with a specific orientation.
How many minites should i heatgun the sides of iphone ?
This damn glue needs so much heat you can’t handle the phone! I still damaged the screen, got the white stripe of death on boot.
Just until you can pry it open
Anyone else listening with blown speakers? 😅
youre awesome and super pretty. Thank You!
I have screen with frame integrated. I don't understand how to move the metal net part of the speaker in between screen and frame. It looks like i have to split the new screen but inbthis way I'm scared I damege inner layer
thanks so much!! I fixed my phone after it being broken(at least I thought it was) for 6 months cause I didn’t know you can buy a screen replacement kit for less than 30 bucks, my phone literally feels like brand new again. Only thing is my FaceTime camera is super blurry(I don’t like using FaceTime anyways so I don’t really mind) but if anyone knows why that’d be nice to know. I just need to replace my battery now. Thank you guys though I was so stoked when my phone worked again!!
Thank you very mutch, best video !!
TYSM, IM WATCHING THIS 3 YEARS LATER AND IM 12 AND I MANAGED TO DO IT ALL BYMYSELF, TYTYTYTYTYTYTYTYTYTYTYTYTTYTYTYTYY
Sehr gute Beschreibung!
I've never heard a country european accent before. Interesting!
My phone was never been water resistant for the first place even if it was not repaired before so that means I am better not dropping it on water. Prevention is better than cure.
My Samsung Galaxy note8
I had a hard time removing the back panel, and a harder time in removing the battery, it sucks that this phone does not have pull tabs or less strong battery adhesive like other devices.
Thanks for the video 😊 but now my phone has gone into safe mode and won't go into normal mode 😢
very clean process, thanks dude
If i do this, does the phone will already be refurbished?
this guide was helpful, I followed both this one and your other loudspeaker replacement and did them both in one go. with a new back cover and new speakers, my phone is in near mint condition again.
this was a very helpful guide, I have done a few repairs for cel phones over the years, and ironically this was the first time I got through this with keeping the back glass in one piece, however one of the reasons I did this job was cause the glass was already slightly cracked anyways.
50% of my job done wireless charger caused the back cover to fall off.
I have a question would it deleted all my stuff that isn't backed up?
No
I replaced the USB-C port, but charging still doesn't work. I hope I don't have to replace the motherboard. I would appreciate any advice.
Is the P10 and P10 Selfie the same size? Can I use a P10 battery in the P10 Selfie phone?
