There is a step missing to move the handset speaker from the old screen to the new screen. I'm assuming the replacement screen that you are using has a new speaker on it and that's why it's not included. Took me a while to figure out why I couldn't hear people talking to me. I threw mine away with the old screen lol. Luckily a new handset speaker is super cheap and easy to install. Great guide though! I've used this guide for multiple phones now.

No need to remove the speaker unit.

So actually replacing the battery is "easy". The main problem is to separate the strong glue in the back case...

And finally... Thank you so much for using PLASTIC spudgers and other tools on a lithium battery. Too many use metal tools and it's just not good to do. Such a bad chance to puncture a battery. It's not worth the risk. Those batteries are down right dangerous if not handled correctly 😊

Great video! I just sent it to a friend that repairs phones. He tore two separate ribbons of the speaker cable on a customers a53. Out of a dozen repair videos and web page guides you are the only one I've seen that says remove the speaker housing and all three cable connection points! It's just so much easier to do with the entire ribbon cable out of the way.

Hey for anyone curious and a little bit anxious about the NFC here is a solution I came up with and also tried instead of just "removing it" you can unscrew the top and bottom and with a slighlt lift on the top and a spudger you can remove the flex cable and remove it as a one whole unit. Remember, the screws are all the same so mixing anything up doesn't cause harm. Here isa little pro-tip from me about screws, before you screw them in try to screw it in the opposite direction till you hear a small "CLICK" sound so you do not demage the thread for the screw so you have in the case you have to replace the battery again your screws are still in tact. For anyone reading this comment in the future and needs help with the removal of the battery hit me up and I will give you a cool nieche trick to remove the battery.
