    I could never have replaced the battery in my P10 without having seen (and carefully reviewed) this wonderful video first. The only real effort was to extract the display from the body of the smartphone (the combinations of the pieces are truly micrometric). Perfect video, excellent for detail, clarity, sequentiality. Thank you so much

    I managed to replace the battery on my P10 thanks to this video's help. Separating the display and the back frame is the hardest part even with the proper tools. Battery removal was slighty fiddly but doable.

    since the battery of my p10 bloated, it was a piece of cake to remove the display according to the tutorial. It was by far the easiest replacement i made, 2 screws and really no hidden issues at all. (replacing from the p20 pro was like discharged a bomb). Thank you very much for your work

    As soon as he pops the cover off, I thought to myself: Props to Huawei, they designed it for the battery to be easily accessible just by removing the cover.. Looking back, I was very naive...

      @@TiagoWolf true that. After my original comment 7 months ago, I replaced the battery another 2 times and it was a breeze, took me less that 10min. However I ended up buying another phone because the new batteries wouldn't hold much charge either..

    Thank's a lot. It was very helpful. Removing the sticky battery tape was disappointing, it ripped out easily. After that, i had to apply too much force coz don't have any heat gun and damaged the battery. It will almost burn myself and the phone. So be careful 😉

    While you removing the motherboard i see that there is marks of thermal paste, don't would be good as long as the motherboard is removed to replace this paste instead put it in place with the dried one?
    Also if you would replace that paste would a normal thermal paste, for computers processors, be fine?

    Thanks for the video, I replaced mine without any challenges. Actually I removed my battery at 2:03 right after I disconnected the 3 cables and put in the new battery and reconnect the cables. It might hurt the motherboard but hey, it's a 5 year old phone... I just take my risks :P

    Did this without removing any of the PCBs. Just undid the flat cables and swapped out the battery lifting the cables out the way. Hardest part is getting the case separated from the bottom ... awkward trying to get a tool into the none existent gap.

  • @TPau65
    @TPau65 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Are these glue-strips really needed to keep the new battery in place? I mean everything firmly sits in place and is pressed together by the display-cover.
    Just in case it's needed again to replace the battery it should be a bit easier. ;-)
    Take a look at the Shiftphone 6m, no tools needed to replace battery within a minute. And it only keeps in place by the backcover, no glue-strips or anything!
    If only it got a better camera it will definetly be my next phone!

    crap. it's looks easier to just buy a new phone. You need to remove the motherboard to replace the battery, what? I don't think my phone would ever live through this whole delicate surgery. It would flatline somewhere in the process. I'm not a good surgeon.

  • @nilsruss2288

    How ridiculously easy they remove the motherboard in all videos. This piece of shit is stuck so hard probably because of the thermal paste. In my case it's apparently not possible to remove it without damaging it. So I replaced the battery without removing the motherboard, which is even less work.
