If your battery is swollen, take appropriate precautions and do not heat your phone.
For your safety, discharge your battery below 25% before disassembling your phone. This reduces the risk of a dangerous thermal event if the battery is accidentally damaged during the repair.
Do not reuse the battery after it has been removed, as doing so is a potential safety hazard. Replace it with a new battery.
Try to deform the battery as little as possible during the following process. Soft-shell lithium-ion batteries can leak dangerous chemicals, catch fire, or even explode if damaged. Do not use excessive force or pry at the battery with metal tools.

Thanks a lot for the tutorial. I must say I think it's terrible manufacturers are making the batteries so hard to replace. Very poor for the owners and the environment.

Thank you for the video! Seems that my replacement is working :-)
I used a suction cup mount from a navigation system, that works well. I was really in doubt that the surface must warmed so long and to such a high temperature. The removement of the old battery was a pain. In a different video, they use a heater and a card to dismantle. The warning "do not bend the battery" is somewhat useless.

Glue everywhere! Very disappointing construction by Huawei. Great video though, thanks
A tip for anyone struggling to get the old battery out without bending it (that's how strong the glue is!) Drop a couple drops of lighter fluid behind it to loosen the glue and then work the pick / prytool around there to loosen it a little bit. Don't worry about gluing the new battery in, there's no room for it to move once the case is on so it's really not necessary

Que no se os ocurra despegar la batería usando un destornillador ni nada de metal que pueda perforar la batería. Usad algo de plástico no cortante para sacarla. Si se perfora la batería entrará oxígeno por el agujero, saldrán gases de la batería y explotará.
