At high speed I bet that car is brutal!! Look into Stratified for tuning, a custom Map and he can keep the TQ below 380ft lbs and get the HP at 500 safely with an increase in Meth

@@jordanncfc9427 I gave a 2013 with about 110k stock (minus clutch and oil catch can) and still drives like its new. Even my mechanic said it's one of the smoothest Mk6s he's seen. Just keep up on maintenance and they will last

@@46holl at the end of the day your car probably would be faster than my car with a DSG gearbox compared to a manual and with a hybrid turbo compared to my APR GT3071R turbo which is a fairly old design hasn’t even got anti-surge on it , but I’ve had my fun with it and blown 1 eng with it already so my car has been Detuned to 400 bhp to make safe and reliable power but still keeping it fun , The end of the day the turbo will push far more power than the engine and gearbox and drive train can take , but it’s always best to keep between 50 to 100 break hp under the spec of the turbo this way you keep everything reliable believe me I’ve learnt the hard way lol

I love the content I feel like sons of the builds are so amazing just to see what the aftermarket has to offer. Now in this case APR is majority of parts thrown at this GTI but I feel as well as the parts maybe a short discussion outlining the total cost would also be good to give people looking to something similar an idea of what it I would cost. I’m confident this build is nearly if not as much as the value of the car. But never the less an awesome car I love the sleeper look.
Lovely car and done well as most people just go for numbers without the handling etc... Im just doing something similar on my late 2008 early CCZA TSI mk2 OCTAVIA vRS. I have a Venom 430 k04 being modified to fit the TSI and have the same Whiteline Anti lift, sway bars and ultra racing strut bars. Had to get a Summit lower brace as the ultra doesnt fit over the bushes which sounds like the same fun and games you had. Youve sold me on the wavetrac though 👍
Yes you’re very much correct where is the white line anti-lift kit the ultra brace does not fit but as for the wave track it make a big difference to the handling check out my TH-cam channel as I do a review drive using the wave track in the wet

I have a Venom k04 hybrid turbo which is good for 400+ but I'll only be going prob 360-380 as I don't have watermeth. My only issue is I'm struggling to find anyone to custom tune it as it seem a lot of companies don't mess with the Mk6 MED17.5 ECU. Did you get yours further mapped from the APR3+ or have the details of your tuner to discuss options please?

Have a look at LK performance UK type in your car and then choose the wheel that you need they have a very big variation the ones on my car are axe/cs lite
It's really common on the gti's. Like when I do my fmic I'll be running that AND the stock rad. They make twin cooling silicon pipes that run to the intercooler and stock rad, just because it's WAY better for temps.

You could buy a front mount intercooler that replaced the standard intercooler and fitted in front of the radiator. I've never heard of a front mount ic and a standard intercooler, which I though was being talked in vid?
I've got a Mk6 GTI myself. Was looking at getting a Mk7 R but they went up about $7,000 in about a year. Wife said I can modify my GTI at least. Can't wait to do that! I am curious though. If I do a turbo upgrade, do I need to have a built motor or do anything internally to it? I can't really seem to find much information about it.

I've got a Audi A3 8p tfsi sline fwd I really wish I had the all wheel drive but it is what it is these platforms are insane it's like Legos for adults the upgrades are easy and everywhere I just have the Apr stage one high torque file with CTS catless downpipe and custom intake it's like my car just did a cycle of steroids I love it even with the fwd I get some killer rolls in eating charger's daily good enough for me
@@sedydaud they are exactly the same size and offset as a standard. wheel. the reason I done this is when I got the car I got some brand-new tires for them , I didn’t see the point of buying another set of new ones as the tyre fitment was really good and the wheel fitment was really good so I just went with the standard fitment

That’s ok no Worries , I have a Valved middle box that makes the exhaust go from silent to violent , basically it’s a muffler that has a valve inside which makes it go from being a silencer to a straight through pipe it’s not a cut out
Hi, I been gifted a wonderful mark 6 vw TSI 1.4 with a knackered seized engine. I’m thinking about doing an engine swap possibly with the S3. What would be the easiest engine swap for this car, preferably with the same mounts and bolts. Please advise
If I’m completely honest, I don’t think that sassy would be up to that much power not only that you would have to change absolutely everything which includes all the suspension and braking system and fuel system which could be a very expensive endeavour, you would be far better off with a GTI or R chassis , or even a mark 5GTI and do an R 32 swap or at least just the four-wheel-drive parts there’s a video on this on DeutschAutoworks that would give you some ideas on how to tackle this
Question why do you have a race chip? If you're tuned by APR stage 3 what's the point of having the race chip to throw a little more boost at it? Also I'm asking because I have the race chip GTS but I just bought and installed the unitronic stage 2 software can I use the race chip with it
When I first got the car, I didn’t know anything about it and I put the race chip on it then , once I had it tuned, I took it off, but I kept the Excelerator sharpener on there
I have a 2012 beetle turbo ( mk6 platform) they only made the beetle with the mk6 platform for 2 years.. 2012 2013... anyways, just like you I didn't know anything about vw or tuning for that matter.... I bought the racechip gts... it was ok but boost was allover the place.. I thought about the pedal commander, but never got one.. I assume your ko4 turbo? Brilliant car but far from a sleeper, literally has the APR badge man you can't call that a sleeper. I understand you probably wouldn't expect it to be 400bhp fast but you definitely expect to get smoked by it when you see it on the street :').

Highly highly reccomend you get a mk7. Way easier to make power, and it's pretty much the same interior/exterior with a few new updated features.

I’m looking to go buy a GTI mk6 edition 35, however it only has 5 gears? The others I have looked at have 6 am I being lied to by a body kit? Or isit an upgrade to the clutch I can do at a later date? Thank you

Brilliant car but far from a sleeper, literally has the APR badge man you can't call that a sleeper. I understand you probably wouldn't expect it to be 400bhp fast but you definitely expect to get smoked by it when you see it on the street :').
