The 3DS is a perfect handheld. A sequel to the DS who’s game library, fun built-in games and the 3D slider were a perfect fit for the successor to the DS
it's so crazy how insanely late into the 3DS's lifetime they were still releasing games, like the switch had already been out for ONE year when they released Captain Toad (obviously it was just a port but still). And Bowser Inside story TWO whole years after the release of the switch, crazy imo and probably led to the downfall of Alphadream.
My 3ds xl has its own place in my hearth i love the look and feel of many 3ds games there were so many hidden gems!Like i really love the indie game suport like angry birds trilogy.I just can't describe how much i like 3ds games
Mario 3D Land, and Mario Kart 7 was the first 2 Mario games I played on the 3DS. Ah the memories! Hard to believe its already been about 10 years now! ❤
Awesome video man! There are sooo many mario games on 3ds godamnn. Maybe you can consider making a video on pokemon Ultra sun and Ultra Moon someday? They’re pretty good games and just suffer from being released only 1 year after the originals. Perhaps they should’ve waited a bit longer but they had a good amount of content
I wished that all the past Mario & Sonic at The Olympic Games are on Nintendo Switch games just like they did for mario and sonic at the olympic games tokyo 2020 because no one are playing Wii, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS anymore now that they're moving onto Nintendo Switch and there aren't going to be anymore released on Mario & Sonic at The Olympic Games in the future.
I never owned a 3ds during it's life, I only played 3d land and a little bit of new leaf by borrowing my Mom's 3ds back in the day. I bought one last month and have been having lots of fun. I wanted it mainly for SMT games, but there is so much more on this device, and I can revisit my childhood with DS games. The 3ds has so much you can do with it, especially if you hack it, like playing Virtual Boy games on an emulator with the 3d effect. This platform has so much to offer, I wish I had gotten one during it's life.
Really great video. The 3DS is my favorite console and I think it might have the best first party lineup of any Nintendo console. The only thing I would change about this video, would be adding Warioware Gold. Since you included Smash, and Yoshi games which are Mario adjacent, I would have added Warioware Gold. Even a few of the microgames you can play as Mario. Either way I subscribed and I hope to see more 3DS content from you in the future!
I wish Nintendo hadn’t cut off the 3DS’s online and eShop so quickly after it was discontinued…since the 3DS was so awesome and even saved them during the 2010s.,..
It’s pure peak,(handheld wise) 3ds had some of the best Mario games for a portable, 3d land, Mario kart 7, dream team, dark moon, smash 4, all amazing titles. Sticker star, Mario parts,sports superstars may have sucked, but can get completely ignored.
I beg to differ. DS had Mario 64, which was completely nuts at the time, New Super Mario Bros which revolutionized an iconic series for multiple console generations to follow, Mario Kart DS which again was crazy to see on handheld and a great game anyhow, two amazing Mario&Luigi RPGs, the heavily underrated Mario Slam Basketball and, if you count spin-offs, Yoshi's Island, two of the best Wario Wares and one of the very few Princess Peach games. The 3DS's collection was more like somewhere between okay and good and had a number of letdowns, which the DS didn't have at all I think. So yeah, definitely solid, but it didn't reach the heights of the DS.

Smash Bros is more of a Kirby game than a Mario game. It is a platform fighter but the platformer machanics are closer to a Kirby game than a Mario game

@@callumdaniel-ss8vz idk the technical details but whenever I try to play, after a while there is a guaranteed error that you need to restart your 3DS for. Looked up stuff online and it isn't only me, so I think it applies to all physical copies =/
Probably hot take but I think Yoshi's New Island is waay better than NSMB2, at least it tried to have it's own art direction and gimmicks. They're both mid though.
Meh, I'd say Mario on the WiiU was better than the 3ds. In terms of 3d Mario, 3d World is miles better than 3d Land. In terms of 2d Mario (both mid) but I'd say New Super Mario Bros U is a tad bit better than 2, also got Luigi U which is decent. I played some of the tracks on both Mario Karts, they're both good there, can't really judge much more there. I haven't played any of the other Mario games on 3ds so I can't really judge, but those are some of the main ones and I played.
3DS had one of weakest Mario lineups on any Nintendo console, especially compared to it's predecessor. 3D Land, Dream Team, Dark Moon, MK7 and World Tour were only original games that I really loved.

@@fedorjavagamer DS graphics are nothing to the 3ds, smash, kid Icarus, dark moon, games that the DS could dream of running. DS graphics are just gba but better and it disappointed me that Nintendo hardly made 3d graphics games outside of 64 DS, prime hunters, animal crossing, Mario party/kart
@@edwardsaldana2534 of course 3DS has some beautiful games, it's literally one generation ahead. But most of it's games are still JRPG's, 2D platformers and puzzle games. It may be not as noticeable if you're only interested in first party games tho.

I don't think so, I feel it may be on average one of the Mario series's weakest systems, too many of the games were solid but not as good as previous entries like 3D Land or MK7, others were fine but dissapointing like Paper Jam or NSMB2, or others were just not great like Sticker Star, the Mario Party games or all of the Mario sports games besides Golf.
