Super Mario Party gets a worse reputation than it deserves for only having 4 boards, but I’ve always liked them because they theme themselves around underused Mario characters. The layouts are quite simple I guess, but it’s because I’ve played them in partner party that I didn’t mind. I’ve been liking the Jamboree ones, particularly Rainbow Galleria and the Bowser one. The remake of Western Land is also a highlight.
@@joshslater2426 tbf theres fun to be had in Super Mario Party, I really like the minigames for the most part and the boards can be fun if you play short games and dont play them too often in one sitting
I'm convinced they designed the team mode first for super mario party and added the "main" party mode later. It would explain the squares as they play a role in that mode.
I had a perfect game in Whomp's Domino Ruins. Basically, I played as Hammer Bro and his special dice block granted me a lot of strategizing. I also got very lucky that I was in positions where using the special block gave me multiple beneficial outcomes such as whether I land in the treasure chest happening space, or reaching to the store, or stay in place to get another companion. I actually had a fun time. But I am well aware that I got very lucky in how the game played out for that enjoyability to happen.
@@kevinaguilar7541 even though the different game dice is hated by some, its one of the things I really liked about Super Mario Party. Also, great to see you had such a blast on the ruins! 😊
Really good video! I havn't played every board yet do i can't give my opinion on all of them. Also a tip i would give you is to use a more clear lettertypr especially in the thumbnail. Worling with CAPS helps aswell but for the rest really good editing and stuff. Can't wait for the next vid
Here’s my list! 16th: Mario’s Rainbow Castle I cannot get behind why i dislike this board so much, the linear paths are horrible to me and it relies heavily on RNG, if you don’t have an item your screwed and i don’t like boards that rely on items THIS much. 15th: Womp’s Domino Ruins Okay, this board is absolutely neutral to me. It’s really just a small basic board with not much to offer. It isn’t terrible but it’s nowhere near good either. 14th: Kamek’s Tantalizing Tower Decent board with a fun and interesting layout. It’s idea is unique but the board is incredibly small. This board is amazing in Partner Party but it’s not so great here 13th: Mega Fruit Paradise This one’s alright, the only reason it isn’t at the bottom is because of its theming and music. This board is really frustrating but it’s layout is really nice imo. 12th: Rollem Raceway This board is good, there are a lot of things that i am not really fond of though, first thing being that it’s really linear. I would’ve preferred if there was more than two paths to take but whatever. The boo is in a position that’s absolutely terrible, every player after getting the star will come across boo as he is on the main track and that just bugs me so much as it disadvantageous to the player who’s in 1st and you can potentially lose up to around 4 stars in a 10/15 turn game depending on how many coins the other players have. The star switching places is a really cool twist but other than that the board doesn’t offer much besides the inflated economy due to the fact that when you take a lap you get an increase of 10 coins each time. When playing a 30 turn game this could be very chaotic and NOT in a good way 11th: King Bomb-Omb’s powerkeg mine. It’s a fun board to say the least, easily the best Super Mario Party board but that’s really not saying much. There are a lot of things to do including strategizing and planning ahead. This is miles ahead of the other Super Mario Party boards as the theming, events and paths vary from one another. (Gonna continue this later)
@@Total_Lucky thanks for your list, obviously it varies quite a bit from my list, but I do understand what you are saying and I see the points you make. Im curious to see how your top looks like.

that could very well be the case, I never played it, but either way, bad priority though for sure
