    I bought mung beans because they're interesting size, shape, color... I had no idea how to prepare them or what they taste like, but this recipe seems fabulous. Will pick up some fenugreek soon to give it a try, but I can tell by all the other ingredients I will love it! Thank you for sharing your recipe

    I have made this soup five weeks in a row. My friends are asking for it now. I am spreading the word Happy Bellyfish!!! You are both so much fun to watch. I cooked the mung beans and yellow lentils in it today. After it was cooked, I added strips of curly kale for crunch. I will make the Anastasia's Borscht next. I am so happy to have found you and invite othes to discover you as well.

    Delicious 👌 thank you so much for the fantastic recipe. Just in time where we got so bored of our soups we usually make. In the Turkish kitchen, soup and salata is mostly served with every meal. Mung Bean salad is delicious too 👌 do you have any recipe for that too? Wishing you all the best🍸🍃🍸

    ❤ So yummy! I used ground coriander seed. Is that the spice you meant, or did you use dry coriander leaves?

    • @HappyBellyfish
      @HappyBellyfish  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It must be ground coriander seeds. I use fresh coriander leaves and dry fenugreek leaves for garnishing ( while the dish is still hot )

  • @sue.F

    The best moong bean soup I’ve tried. I couldn’t find the dried fenugreek so substituted with dried seeds.

    • @HappyBellyfish
      @HappyBellyfish  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So glad that you liked it. Just want to add that the seeds and the leaves cannot be interchanged, they play very different roles in adding flavor, aroma and taste. If dried fenugreek leaves are unavailable , you can add other fresh herbs like cilantro or parsely. It also works without the garnish with herbs.

    • @sue.F
      @sue.F 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Soak them overnight, then bring to a boil and put them in the oven on 350f with about a teaspoon of baking soda for 40-60mins. Usually ready in about 40 minutes. They come out tender and stay tender

  • @theodora4
