The black coating on the wheel appears to be a black gloss finish. Correct? Was that the original paint or a duplicolor coating? Was there an original clear coat? Lastly, wasn't some light sanding in order?
Hi Ronald Craft, the wheel was the original wheel paint and prepped with a light sand with a scotch brite, then a base coat was applied and changed the color to silver and then the glossy clear coat on top. I hope that helps.
You're supposed to let it dry first. Also try to use proper wheel spanners instead of a hammer and a block of wood, or whatever you seem to be using that chews up a wheel 🤦🏻
So if i wanted to do more of a hyper black look. I should paint the wheel black then apply a light coat of the silver..then the clear.?
Not enough videos on this anywhere and no HD. ?

What if your rim is already silver , do you still need the silver base coat ?
So you just want to spray clear over the original wheel? 🤦🏻
Perfect
Ya, and the paint will fall off the first time you mount a wheel. Guaranteed. Don't waste your time
