  • If you've been thinking about moving to Vancouver, this video was made for you. It'll help you understand exactly where you'll want to live in Vancouver...and (more importantly) where you won't.
    It's intended to be an overview of the city to help you get a feel for living in Vancouver. It explores each of the four major areas of the City of Vancouver including: Downtown, Westside, Eastside and South Vancouver.
    I'll get right into each of these, showing you what it's like to live there....what type of homes are available, why people enjoy living in these areas and most importantly the pros and cons of living in each area of Vancouver.
    If you are moving to Vancouver and you'd like to see more videos of what it's like to live in Vancouver be sure to check out this playlist that's full of videos I've made about some of Vancouver best neighborhoods.

    Thank you for this video! Really love your takes on each place which is so much more useful than only talking about them in numbers

    I think east Vancouver to metropolitan mall is very close. East Vancouver is convenient, easy to access to west Vancouver, Richmond and Burnaby, very good

      Yes, @janiceho6034. Many people love living in East Vancouver. It's central location is an enormous plus for sure!

    Very good overall assessment of where to live in Vancouver. Your only description I might take issue with is Mountainview Cemetery. You said "It's not crowded." I don't know. The lots are _tiny._ Must be part of that Vancouver densification plan. But very low turnover. People who move there seem to stay, so the neighbourhood clearly offers something they like. Maybe the quiet.

      Thanks @eyesuckle...and yes, Mountainview Cemetery is a very quiet neighborhood...except at Halloween when it really picks up.

    I believe when you ate referring to the lower mainland, you are intending to refer to the MVRD. The lower mainland also comprises the Fraser Valley, and all areas presented in the cideo are within the MVRD.

    • @LivingInVancouver-BC
      @LivingInVancouver-BC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @kazuya99ace Correct. It's a bit of an old habit of mine to refer to the areas interchangeably (Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland). I'm still getting used to calling it Metro Vancouver and not Greater Vancouver.

    There is a big park called trout lake which is very good park, walking path and farmer market

    • @LivingInVancouver-BC
      @LivingInVancouver-BC  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, Trout Lake is the only lake in Vancouver...and the only inland beach we have (not sure I'd ever swim in that water but many do). The neighborhood (commercial drive) is wonderful, too.

    Great information however average price range in different neighborhoods are missing. Overall 😊👍🏼

      Thank you...and yeah, I was avoiding prices in those earlier videos. I was trying to make them more evergreen. You'll find that in my more recent videos I talk about prices more specifically. :)

    Loving your videos!
    How do you differentiate Yaletown from “Downtown?”
    Do guys have a different term/name for these small districts?

    • @LivingInVancouver-BC
      @LivingInVancouver-BC  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @owenmccord5078 Yeah, it can be a bit confusing. I totally understand. We'd usually refer to the entire peninsula that contains downtown Vancouver as "downtown". However, that peninsula contains other neighborhoods such as Coal Harbour (NE), the West End (NW), Yaletown (SW), Gastown (SE) as well as the traditional Downtown (central). So Yaletown is both separate and a part of Downtown if that makes sense?

    Could you talk about north burns by, Surrey ? Are there any top private schools in Burnaby and Surrey, or all concentrated in west van

    • @LivingInVancouver-BC
      @LivingInVancouver-BC  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. Burnaby and Surrey are part of the plan! And no, the westside of Vancouver isn't the only place that you'll find private schools...just the more traditional ones. There are certainly solid private schools in the suburbs too...like White Rock Christian Academy.
