Thanks for these Vancouver vids, Adam. I'm looking to move from the UK to the Vancouver/Greater Vancouver area in the next few years so these kinds of guides are so useful. Would love to see more of the Greater Van area and Sea-to-Sky corridor. Have been a few times as one of my best mates has been a Whistler local for about 15 years but seeing around places like Squamish and even the Tri-City area would be very cool. Also a video on dog friendly places//parks would be awesome, too. Cheers.

Re: Compass Cards. Users purchase a Compass card for a $6 refundable deposit, then load it with stored value. The $6 deposit can be used temporarily if a rider forgets to maintain enough stored value, but the value on the card must be replenished above $6 before the next trip or they will not be able to tap in. A reloadable monthly one-zone adult Compass Card in Metro Vancouver costs $98. That's the cheapest way to travel, and it only works for those who live relatively close to work or school. A two-zone pass sets an adult transit rider back $131 and a three-zone adult pass costs $177. Got rid of my last vehicle in 2010 and been a monthly transit pass (aka Compass Card) ever since.

I want to share another tip here... it can save you $1 on your compass card. For example, you work in downtown and finish work at 6:15PM, and you need to take skytrain to Metrotown, normally it will cost you $3.45 because it's 2 zone. But if you tap out at Joyce station after 6:30PM and tap in again. It will only cost you $2.40 (1 zone)

I started texting the bus several years ago, but have upgraded to just using their website on smartphone. Same sort of deal, but you can see how many and how often they are coming. Or preplan a trip. Isn't it just $6 for the compass card, not $20? I have the Keychain and have it on autoload, for when I need to take transit. I didn't know about the flush app, that's awesome, for someone with an autoimmune disease... gonna download it. Thanks for the tips :) Also will be checking out the renting app, what a great idea to not have to buy anything you probably won't use a lot!!
