When i see footage of the guys from the golden era its like they were all part of the same team. Theyre out at the beach, working out together, Arnold and Franco lived together. I can imagine how fun it was when you factor in the comraderie they shared at their physical peak.
That was the beauty of it all indeed, that sense of camaraderie. Now everyone works out with their headphones on without talking to each other. It is kinda sad really.
And, the golden era bodybuilder lived longer with less injuries and basically walk away into the sunset when their careers were over. Today’s bodybuilders are dying young and some are basically crippled!
That's probably due to how much PEDs they're currently using now. Might need to know the background of the golden era tho, not well informed about their doses.
Whats your current training plan and whats your daily calory demand? I thought about going keto, but couple things held me back. Like its harder to plan, you have to freeze a lot of meat and start defrosting it in time. With high carb its easier, pasta, rice and deep-fried vegetables are basically instantly accessible and need very little storage room. Also meat is very dense, and I was kinda afraid to eat too much becaue you feel hungrier after eating proteins compared to rice that contains the same amount of energy.
I love natural bodybuilding and love the way it makes me look and feel. I'll never compete, and never be famous, but it's a great hobby. Thanks to all the guys that made this mainstream.
I’ve been roughly following this diet for about two years now. I almost exclusively eat a large steak and potatoes every night. drink raw eggs in the morning, tuna, protein powder, lots and lots of cheese, and a cup of blueberries every day for vitamins. And I feel so good doing it
Arnold, mentzer, behind the scenes they were struggling with drugs such as cocaine as well as depression and mental issues. Steroid use arguably hasn’t changes a ton but you could argue the bodybuilding community is somewhat healthier now.
He really did combine size, good definition, yet somehow didn't look gross like today's mass monsters. Personally I think the 40s and 50s era were the best because IIRC steroids weren't as widespread, and they actually looked close to attainable by the avg person who works hard but didn't dedicate their life to body building.
thats cuz he was all abo symmetry proportion n perfection.. he said in his movie pumping iron that if 1 part of his body grows half a inch that the rest of his body would have to also. he knew thats what it took to b mr olympia so he put everything into those 3 things.
When I did a lot of training in the 80s, carbohydrates were poison. Eggs, meat, broccoli, etc. So we followed the Adkins diet long before it was a thing.
They had a big advantage, no internet. No distractions no social media thus More social interaction and real life intel Direct immediate human feedback no bs filters
That was my exact point they had sol ittle info so instead of what these people worked for them and they had the best body’s and are out living there life expectancy’s. Bodybuilders now are ticking time bombs.
True! And, if "social" media's pc like this we're better without it. Same with the net that if you can't do a search for info without rubbish, and advertising coming back.. these, and bias lies and bs, then what's the point of that too???
Just keep in mind that Arnold training HIGH volume. 30 or so sets for each muscle group, twice a week for each, also doing morning and evening splits. You burn like at least 1500 calories a day lifting, and not including resting metabolism, you can eat whatever you want as long as it's not empty carbs and sugars. Also, gear allows your body to metabolize 2 grams or more per pound of bodyweight in protein a day. If you aren't on gear, you can't eat like that.
Diet was a big factor why the golden era bodybuilders had a more aesthetic physique. The other big factor was they weren't taking loads of insulin (which becomes necessary with the extreme carb intake) and HGH. They did take testosterone, but that won't cause you to develop the bubble gut.
That's right. Most were taking pills like Dianabol, Winstrol, and Anavar- old-school androgen and anabolics. Insulin and HGH changed the game completely and sadly, may have led to many deaths.
I'm 58 years old and still bodybuild. Years ago I read an article about Victor Richards he said that vegetables are the forgotten protein. At the time I was in my 20's and at 5'6 I couldn't get to 200 lbs. I started eating 6 small salads a day and with-in 2 years went from 190 to 210 without changing anything else in my workouts all natural. In my old age I'm still growing at 230lbs.
So you're saying vegetables don't have calories? It has to do with the amino acids in the vegetables, you know the stuff that builds muscles. @@sleepytimeshecomes
consuming plant proteins wont get you optimally strong, a balanced, perfect ratio of amino acids will and enough calories. At least 2 pounds or more of red meat a day will work wonders. I have a bench of 600 pounds currently for 5 reps. And I'm 85% carnivore with the other 15% being mostly fermented dairy with a tiny percentage of fermented fruits and vegetables. ALWAYS fermented. Never fruits or vegetables that are not fermented.
@@RandomHuTaoSimp My father had 4 butcher shops in NY back in the 50's and 60's. Anyone eating 2lbs of meat daily will have some serious digestion problems. Not to mention cardiac blockage for sure. Plant proteins won't get you strong. Tell that to the rhino, horse, elephant, hippo, cows. Massive mammals that consume plant life. Try eating 2 pounds of vegetables a day you'll have tons more energy and feel lots better.
I've done many diets over the year, typically eating plenty of carbs, watching my SATURATED fats. But recently did keto, just to experiment. I was mind blown. It was almost beautiful, how quickly my body burned fat. Eventually I took it to far, until I had zero energy. Took a couple days to recover. I was eating less than 50 carbs a day. I'm not doing keto, but now I eat more keto oriented. I find it fun, what I learned
Only explanation for the severe lack of energy. Is that you didn't get enough fats in your diet to replace the carbs. On keto diet, fat becomes your fuel source instead of the glucose from carbs. So you must be sure to get plenty of good fat in your diet if your gonna do keto
I go to the gym when fasting - I still have an incredible amount of energy - far beyond what I thought would happen.....just take the right amount of salts and minerals with distilled water and you're good to go....plus working out while fasting turbo charges fat burn and autophagy [body detox].
I did the exact same thing that you did. I went from 205 to 180 in a month or so. I still don't really eat carbs, and I'm killing it in the gym. I don't understand it. Something that most people fail to realize is that vegetables are carbohydrates. They're fibrous carbs instead of starchy carbs like a potato. But they're still carbs, and they still work. I basically did the opposite of every recommended dietary guideline floating around the fitness industry. Working out really hard, and not eating much at all. I lost zero strength, and lost a lot of body weight so in all actuality Just became a more efficient person. Would recommend to anybody that would like to at least "try" keto - supplement with actual electrolytes to avoid the rage and the cramping. Gatorade does not count. Sodium, magnesium, potassium.
@@brewcewillis8328 100% I put E-Lyte in my water [electrolyte with Sodium, Potassium and Magnesium salts]. Also use a dissoluble multi-mineral but have to be careful with these as some contain sucralose.
I used to do this. I'd stop at Sam's Club and pick up a rotisserie chicken or my local grocery store when I'd work out heavily. I'd pick it up they before or the day of. If I get back to working out again I'll probably do it again.
My dad had a book by Vince Gironda and I remember thinking (this was in the 80s) that his diet tips were insane. So many eggs. And getting all your energy from fats, not carbs. This was bang in the middle of the period where natural fats were the worst thing you could possibly eat (remember how butter and eggs were supposed to be killers?) and the consensus was it was best to live a low-fat diet with artificial sweeteners and margarine. Vince was ahead of his time, it seems. Carbs, not fats, turned out to be the real killers.
People still believe low fat and more carbs is healthier for you. I had a book from the 1930s that described why low carb diets are so healthy for you, the food companies have known how bad carbs are for you this whole time.
@@GTSN38 Yep, I heard it was mainly the sugar industry that tried to push the blame for sugar related health issues onto fats. Considering sugar is terrible for you, and natural fats are vital, that's a pretty sick thing the sugar industry did if true. Ruining countless people's health through lying and deception, all in the name of money.
Your great grandma told your ma to eat mostly vegetables and some oily fish cooked in olive oil. Now it’s called the Mediterranean diet and it’s what people are say is healthy (in terms of longevity). People are surprised and pissed to hear common sense bad fats like beef and bacon eaten in quantity over a lifetime will kill them. People gotta remember what grandma taught them, yo, and quit the fad diet.
If margarine was a good thing, it wouldn't be so damn cheap, just compare it to the price of butter, insane difference! Our ancestors lived on natural fats for all their life and they lived much, much longer than us. The price of eating healthy in today's world is painfully high, especially for people from third world countries like myself (Turkey), in the middle of an economic crisis, I can't even afford to buy beef and fish anymore since 2 years, the prices are absolutely gone through the roof. All I've left is protein from legumes and once in a blue moon, chicken or turkey...

Yes I think you nailed it. They were on a healthier and a workable diet that enabled both awesome muscle and good health. The high carb approach used today can achieve results but it comes at a cost.
Eating that much beef isn't good for you. Eating a mostly red diet literally shoots your risk of diabetes and heart problems. Same as eggs. They have healthy cholesterol but are loaded with it. Eating 12 a day is a huge shock to your system. The fact they ate low amounts of vegetables on top of that is also horrible. Arnold went through multiple heart surgeries and is basically vegan now. The low cycling helped them overall. Problem now is that they cycle all year long with maybe a 2-4 week break with all the new gear. Then eat these absurdly high calorie diets to get as big as possible, So even though they are eating pretty healthy meals, the overload is the killer.
@@RagingRevine Lol... according to what? why do you think that? you are designed to utilize cholesterol. Your body even produces some to keep you alive. We've been consuming it for as long as we can record, some cultures consuming nothing but it. Our cells, brain, mothers milk etc is all made out of cholesterol. It's ridiculous to think it could harm us. People have consumed up to 50 raw eggs a day with no problems. Vegetables are man made and do not exist in nature. We can't even utilize them properly as our bodies aren't designed to break them down. Why do you think we would require them? also Arnold took steroids if you didn't already know. He is only a "vegan" on tv (he isn't) because he is a puppet who is used for his influence by corporations.
@@RagingRevine Define “Absurdly high”… If you’re saying that a (10,000+) calorie/day diet is “Absurdly high” then I would agree with you. If you’re saying that a (3,000-4,000) calorie/day diet is “Absurdly high” then I would say you’re full of 💩.
Frank Zane was always my fave back then. He had the most legendary and aesthetic physique in that era as well as being one of the most legendary and aesthetic physique of all time, in my humble opinion.
Frank Zane had it all. Genetics, diet, kind set, aesthetics etc. he was smaller in stature but by far the goal of every generation. I think men’s physique competition is a better competition and more realistic goal. Even today men physique competitors are meeting with Zane for advice and mindset goals.
@@wombat5252 Men's physique/classic is peak bodybuilding tbh. The open category is cool (they have people like Ronnie Coleman and CBUM), since they're testing the very limits of what the human body is capable of. But as soon as you bring in the huge fucking bubble guts caused by insulin use, I'm out. Some of these mass monsters get crazy, not only with diet and insulin use but also PEDs. Back in the 70s, they weren't blasting massive amounts of juice like they do now.
Arnold looked better than any modern body builder, he literally had a perfect physique, big but to scale with his frame, even though it wasn't natural it just looked it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! As fro the bloating you mentioned, I would have to say that diets of today include way to much sugar. Sugar is the enemy, it's in everything and were addicted to it. carbs are also a problem, but not as much as sugar. These guys focused on protein only, and their bodies were lean as fuck as a result. Very impressive, we should all aspire to be more like these guys!!
I think some bodybuilders are deliberately trying to use Insulin effects even injecting it. I guess it's kind of a growth hormone and they use it for faster recovery and adding mass. Probably many side effects making the body a total train wreck.
This is a true throwback to the golden era of bodybuilding! Arnold's old-school, high-protein, low-carb diet shows just how much discipline and focus went into his legendary physique. No fancy supplements or shortcuts, just pure dedication to fueling the body right. It’s amazing how these timeless principles still hold up today! 💪
@Mr Peanut bro not doing diet doesnt mean you eat fastfood, high protein diet is expensive, diet doesnt mean you eat less it mean you eat what you have to eat, im eating like half of calories i used to and it cost me same yet im still low on protein to get right amout i would have to spend twice as much money i used to when i was fat eating shit foot
@Mr Peanut first of all you dont know where i live, second im cook i wont eat rice and chcken more that twice a month, second i have low carb diet, third im tired of discussing this shit, you say chicken and rice is cheap and next time we meet in comment section you will argue with me that bulking is hard cuz you dont enjoy eating chicken and rice, so yeah i prefer to enjoy eating food not to force myself so im eating like 15 diffrent meals per month (i eat only one meal per day) including diffrent protein carbs fat source i dont eat shit food from market ive lost 35kg (mostly fat) past year with ZERO effort and as i said it cost same after this summer i will bulk and THEN it will become expensive
Hmm.. i eat all of that lol Mornings Oaths, banana, eggs and bacon sometimes on toasted bread. Midday's Rice with union, spring union with either fish (tuna or sardines) beef and 4 eggs scrambled into it. Early evening same as midday. After work out creatine and whey proteine shake with a banana and 2 eggs.. every day lol and then my high intensity work during the day as a builder.. all good and i am 50.. love it!
It’s great hearing this video.. Some Whey Protein brands are still a bit hard to drink, but I can’t imagine opening those cans of ‘Protein from the Sea’.. We have it way easier now than the Golden Era. Can’t take anything for granted.
Arnold you were my Reg Park . My dad was soo impressed by my interest in you. He bought me “ Education of a bodybuilder “ when I was less than 16 yrs old for Christmas ( 1979 ) . It was inscribed “ From Dad, don’t let Arnold kick beach sand in your face” !
Ive tried all the diets. I realised that the greek muscle men statue warriors never had a pre or post work out shake. they ate whole foods. these days i usually eat two meals a day 6-12 whole eggs, butter, cheese, 1-2kg of red meat and some fruits usually berries but sometimes apples and mangos. this is just what i do. im not looking for an argument or for you to convince me that eating meat is bad. cheers.
It was a long time ago, can't remember, but as a kid I had a bodybuilding book from back then that had a recipe for a protein drink that was made mostly of heavy cream and I think eggs and some flavorings. It was unreal.
I started lifting during the golden era when I came home from the Army in 1974. I remember the fad supplements like dissicated liver, Spirulina, inositol and choline for cuts and pre digested liquid protein. So horrible. Not to mention the chalky protein drinks fortified with a RAW EGG. The high protein/low carb diet was the way to go at the time. Yeah, diet made a big difference.
I just wanna see someone who has to work 8 hours a day, has a wife, a kid, and still gets in a solid workout and is healthy and happy. That's someone to look up to
Today it's more food, more drugs and less training as possible, some pros of today won't train more than 45mins to an hour because it's considered "overtraining". If you had to choose between having prime Arnold or prime Ronnies physique, I guarantee most, if not all will choose Arnold's physique.
Theres so many people out there, so many comments out there, saying completely different about that last part. But I guess on TH-cam you can just make stuff up if it sounds good to you.
I love more the golden era because they were the real bodybuilding. Their body, their training, in my opinion everything was better. Today I don’t know what it is. Look at Big Ramy or Nick Walker. Sometimes I think that they will explode themselves on the stage. Today it is so weird! But it’s only my opinion and I respect the other.
Hey just a heads up?? Protein is not cheap, getting any seafood?? Omega 3's?? Whats in ceaser dressing?? Its an emulsion!! Egg yolk, lime, salt, oil, and anchovies!! You can make it with canned oyster!! If you make peannutt sauce/curry dip, get ur anchovies on etc. Canned Salmon n tuna salad, canned clam pasta sauces. Plus I love my blender to death!! You can put everything there, easily digested!!
I put away about 200-250grams protein per day. Mostly ground beef eggs and cheese and kefir. Steak once per week. Keeps me lean and satiated year round. Sure I'll throw in carbs from time to time but it isn't part of my regular diet. Not a bodybuilder but I do lift weights every week. Also about 2oz raw beef liver before workouts.
All the whey and carbs probably causes a fatty liver and host of other gut problems, wouldn't be surprised if that caused "Bubble gut". Eggs are the absolute best bio available protein source you can eat, I have 4-5 a day, also eat them with a nice grass fed/finished beef patty a lot of the time 😅
The foods that you are listing the "golden era" bodybuilders ate are very healthy...They looked great because those are the best things to eat. People very rarely get fat from eating too much beef.
A well balanced diet, the right amount of fiber, fruits, veggies and yes higher intake of good animal protein. Plenty of water to drink. No steroids. That's the way I would do it
Arnold Schwarzenegger era was the best!!! I don't even look at the bodybuilders today. After Ronnie Coleman is were I stopped. The stuff they do today is ridiculous. Arnold Schwarzenegger era forever ♥️.
It just reflect the era. Back then the ppl prepared 3 regular meals, with higher fatty things like bacon sausages lard butter and olive oil (I use avocado and coconut oils also, and I use acv and lemon juice in salads water and prep meats), then moderate proteins like black coffee, beans, eggs, fish, chicken, beef, turkey, and low carbohydrates, the complex carbs, like salads oatmeal cheeses and certain veggies. Fruits too, but rare. They did however eat simple carbs, yes, more so than athletes of that era. They didn't go with the fruit and soy yogurts lattes and smoothies like today. Then they changed the pyramid to high carbohydrates low fars and proteins round that time, and ppl adapted to this unhealthy unhappy diet ever since, with now salt soy and sugar added to everything unlike anything before. An Unjust attack on fats. 👎 😋
@@BigBadJerryRogers Hormones matter. Our bodies don't burn food in a fire like calories measure. Try eating zero protein and get muscles. Calories are all that matter, right?
I think it's the first time I watched your video... But very educational for the new sportsmans... I'm 45 and I see a big difference between Mr.Arnold's era and the new bodybuilders... Old days body builders are more attractive.... Perhaps of the food they had are natural and fresh. All the best!! Thanks
Golden era bodybuilders weren't afraid to do physical activity other than heavy weights. Calisthenics, aerobics, light cardio and light weights can do wonders to shape the body once you have some size. Bigger, heavier and more of everything isn't always the answer.
I vividly remember making chocolate milk with my dads supplement powder and how disgusting it was and also getting my butt wooped for using it because of how expensive it was apparently.
This scenario is so funny it deserves an oscar. I swear my stomach is hurting because i cant stop laughing. And that Bart Simpson profile pic makes it even funnier, because this is a situation that possibly could have happened between Bart and Homer. 🤣🤣🤣

Golden era is the best. I started the diet without even really doing lots of training and I have lost 17 pounds in two weeks. They had to eat carbs once a week to get the pump. In the 80s is when the bodybuilder's switched to high carb low fat. Did they have a high fat day?? Ric Drasin always says you can eat carbs or fat but not both if you wanna be lean. I prefer the golden era diet of eating carbs only once or twice a week.
I also carb backload as needed when I get flat and feel depleted. 2-3 days a week on a training day only. Mostly beef butter and eggs for me. Feel awesome and able to train fasted 3xweek 2 hrs full body
I love how steroids and HGH are the last thing these docs are gonna talk about. YOU CANT LOOK LIKE THAT WITHOUT MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES
You need to keep in mind some of the substances they take now that the Golden Era guys did not take. Some of those substances let them utilize/use/burn all of those carbs.
I believe the golden age of body building was the 70's & 80's. Hands down. I remember that protein shake from the mid 80's. Our football coach encouraged us to drink every morning before practice. It smelled bad and tasted worse. I took a sip and said no thank you! Some guys drank it all. At the end of practice, at 5 to 7 guys would throw up. No joke. I decided then and there I'm never drinking that stuff. No way. Into the 90's the protein shakes got way better in taste and texture. My favorites were vanilla & strawberry. Twin Labs was the most popular brand through out the late 80's, definitely through the 90's, and early 2K's. Mostly because Twin Labs promoted pure and natural resources for all their ingredients. They never sold their supplements in pills. Only in gelatin capsules. Pure. Pills require additives and binders for pills to hold their shapes. No clue who's top dog in the supplement business now a days. I'm guessing theirs a lot of different companies and choices now than ever before. PS: In the golden age of bodybuilding, Joe Weider was the father of bodybuilding. He was not only a bodybuilder himself, he also discovered and trained Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. Joe Weider trained a lot of the best known and memorable bodybuilders both men and women at that time. Joe Weider trained athletes from the golden age up to the mid 2K's. He was an important man in bodybuilding.
The low carb diet definitely helped them to have a much smaller waist for sure. Carbs are just a better fuel to me than healthy fats and carbs also help with appetite. It’s hard for a normal person to eat 3000 cal so 5 6 7 or even 10k calories a day is no easy thing imo I think that the carbs help the hunger return more quickly because it burns much faster
Arnold actually recommended not going above 25 percent fat. It wasn’t that “high fat”. For sure they did not overfeed anywhere close to what is done today.

Arnold, mentzer, behind the scenes they were struggling with drugs such as cocaine as well as depression and mental issues. Steroid use arguably hasn’t changes a ton but you could argue the bodybuilding community is somewhat healthier now.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was just an absolute specimen of a man with the perfect physique. He is the GOAT of bodybuilding in my opinion.

He really did combine size, good definition, yet somehow didn't look gross like today's mass monsters.

It just makes your body stop making it .
That's right. Most were taking pills like Dianabol, Winstrol, and Anavar- old-school androgen and anabolics. Insulin and HGH changed the game completely and sadly, may have led to many deaths.

I started eating 6 small salads a day and with-in 2 years went from 190 to 210 without changing anything else in my workouts all natural. In my old age I'm still growing at 230lbs.
I think ur delusional old man, plants don’t have nearly enough protein as animal sources
it's called getting old and eating more calories has nothing to do with vegetables
I've been full carnivore for 8 months now and I've felt the opposite effect! Carbs may be good for some, but not for me I guess😂😂😂
Animal FAT is King 💪🏻
People still believe low fat and more carbs is healthier for you. I had a book from the 1930s that described why low carb diets are so healthy for you, the food companies have known how bad carbs are for you this whole time.
@@GTSN38 Yep, I heard it was mainly the sugar industry that tried to push the blame for sugar related health issues onto fats. Your great grandma told your ma to eat mostly vegetables and some oily fish cooked in olive oil. Yes I think you nailed it. They were on a healthier and a workable diet that enabled both awesome muscle and good health. The high carb approach used today can achieve results but it comes at a cost.
You think so? Even if someone is extremely physically active regularly?
@@mexican8940 The carbohydrates are very low in essential micronutrients so definitely.
Fruits too, but rare. They did however eat simple carbs, yes, more so than athletes of that era.
They didn't go with the fruit and soy yogurts lattes and smoothies like today.

I'm on the Golden Age diet. It's mostly carnivore. I've never been stronger or healthier. an d yes, it is sustainable. It's the diet we evolved on over millions of years. Occasional cheat days where I'll eat sushi or potatoes, maybe once a week. It's an amazing diet and you really never need to cut. Great video! They knew what they were doing back then even if they didn't know the knew.
You’re referring to the “High protein”/“Low Carb” diet? Define “Low carb” intake? In grams per day.
Most people aren’t eating (1,000) + grams of “Carbs” per day.
I wonder if you stop bingeing on carbs and see what happens. Also, you IF?
Great video. Healthy information.
Inspiring 💪🏽
Golden era is the best. I started the diet without even really doing lots of training and I have lost 17 pounds in two weeks. The lifters of today with those giant guts look like they idolized the golden guys but were too lazy to commit. I also swear by cottage cheese. Its so freaking awesome for your diet. On a salad or on its own with pepper and paprika is so good.
i dont like cottage cheese but being how important its in every bodybuilders diet i have to incorporate in mine. how is it working for you champ?
@@luckylefty81 I started doing cottage cheese with cut up peaches when I want something sweet but also try to get protein. Give it a shot! You can try other fruits as well, thinking raspberries or blueberries could be great as well.
@@MastersOfAll7581 ok cool will definitely try it. 👌
The 1 and only is Arnold !
i tried this kind of very low carb, high fat high protein diet and feel horrible, i have to have some good quality carbs (sweet potatoe, rice, some fruit) to feel my best
Complex carbohydrates are the more nutritional, but process or refined are not good for you.
Arnold ate steak, egg white, fish, vegetables. No milk, no alcohol, no sugar. Super clean
Protein powder is milk😂

Golden Era rocks in all aspects!
I'm 1 year into bulking up and its not doing fa majority of people are suggesting steds are the only way but I'm not up for any of that shit. The more people you ask the more overloaded with info you are. Awesome content 👏
I've been getting back into it this year and must agree, the amount of crap today makes me remember keep it simple stupid 😂 sure some 21 yr old all jacked up on God knows what looks like he knows but no knowledge about food pyramid and basic counting say otherwise. If I take stuff it'll be multi vitamin and those disgusting emergenC powder drink packets 😂
"its not doing fa majority of people are suggesting steds are the only way" - reading this gave me cancer.
I eat both and I’m lean. Lotta carbs lot of fat lot of protein
I also carb backload as needed when I get flat and feel depleted. 2-3 days a week on a training day only. Mostly beef butter and eggs for me. Feel awesome and able to train fasted 3xweek 2 hrs full body
Golden era diet is the way to go.
Back in those days, many of them consume a lot of beef than chicken, I guess beef were cheaper than the latter
Maybe. It's Definitely reversed now. Chicken is cheaper than beef! No one mentions pork though.. wonder why..
@@k-dogg9086 yes beef is expensive asf, now
I love how steroids and HGH are the last thing these docs are gonna talk about. YOU CANT LOOK LIKE THAT WITHOUT MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES
Who cares you can't do steroids sit on the couch and eat cheetos and look like that they busted there ass
Golden Era for the win
You need to keep in mind some of the substances they take now that the Golden Era guys did not take. Some of those substances let them utilize/use/burn all of those carbs.
Sure keep looking for excuses

I've never knew that proteins shakes from mid 80's were worse.
For sure they did not overfeed anywhere close to what is done today.
because it wasn't zero carb. if you eat carbs you can't eat too much fats together that activates randle cycle
@@Jinkim0106 I'm pretty sure it is zero carbs. But depends what you're talking about. If it's complex carbs then yes you're right. Simple carbs no you're wrong.
