What an amazing video. Arnie's just the most supportive and complimentary guy! I love how he cares that the presenter is performing the exercise properly. I am presuming that back then the general public was relatively unaware of weight-lifting, and Arnie's there introducing it and showing his passion for it. Lost my respect for him when he did that video (forced to do it I think) going on about the Covid jab.
"Nutritional Supplements"... Yeah, no amount of technique or diet can get you to his size. "The Wall" he talks about is the ceiling for natural development. I really, really like that he said you look good, don't put yourself down.
That is the first step.
Good man.
I’ve been weight training 13 years now. I’ve lost and kept off more than 80lbs of fat, and I’m currently on the next leg of my fitness journey, which is to get under 20% body fat. Two of the most important pieces of advice I would give anyone thinking about getting into shape:
1) discipline - motivation will come and go, but you have to treat working out and eating to support your goals like a job. Clock in and out every single day. Once it becomes a good habit, you’re more likely to continue on into making it a way of life.
2) patience - depending on your genetics, current state of fitness, and your goals, it could take you YEARS to get where you want to be. But don’t be discouraged, because hardly anything good comes in life without grinding for it. You have to think about the long game, in that regard it’s no different than earning a college degree, or making a successful business, it takes time and effort.
A bonus piece of advice - STAY INSPIRED. What you watch, listen to, who you hang around, etc will all affect your state of mind. The battle for the body is waged in the mind. Keep your mind always full of the most positive and inspiring things you can find, whether they are podcasts, sports movies that inspire, documentaries about bodybuilding/sports, etc. This one really goes a long way!
How right you are about being inspired I work out and I get a lot of work colleagues who don't like me unfortunately I have to be around the but I can tell at the end of the week even a couple of defamatory remarks from them makes.me feel down

Yea really love his accent, hope he makes it as an awesome cyborg
Juan Carlos maybe he could go under the name terminator or some other gimmick
I doubt he will. I think he'd just get to play some Expandeble character. Better he stays in his lane lifting weights.
Funny that the skinny dude is in better shape than 80% of American men today
"From 1999 -2000 through 2017 -2018, US obesity prevalence increased from 30.5% to 42.4%. During the same time, the prevalence of severe obesity increased from 4.7% to 9.2%."
Damn, it actually did increase. I didn't think it was such a recent development
He wasn't fat so that's half of work done. He clearly had potential to just bulk up if he spent some time in gym.
He honestly is.
I thought the same thing
the guy has actually really good physique for someone who doesnt even go to the gym or smth
Host was simply concerned for show , while Arnold was damn serious in what he was teaching/telling to him , shows commitment of this man towards his passion
Well, the host showed commitment to his passion too then...
Every so often I'll come back to this beautiful capsule of time.
Body builders stomachs today look like teenage mutant ninja turtles shells
martin Bassett facts
🤣🤣
@Pybro I'll rather look like a mythology god than that of a giant.

Wow. The reported seemed a little intimidated and put himself down, but instead of picking on him Arnold elevated him. What a role model.
isnt he joking? i got a feeling it was like a character hes playing? lol
@@EasyWinking he might have been, im not sure.
@@trevorsamuel1114 the overall vibe from the video i got was the host is playing a characrter who is "weak" and hes bringing on the macho big dude to show him how to work out and it feels like a sketch,. to make arnold look good lol
U nutjob it’s a script. Where U born yesterday or what? All you millennials made such fools I swear
The skinny dude needs some diabol. He’s swell more than Arnold in no time. Syringe makes life easy.
I love how, raw Arnold is, you could tell the interviewer was trying to hype of some of the dialogue or over exaggerate things, and Arnold would just respond with a Healy dose of reality lol
This man is an icon, not only of one but, many generations. I wish to meet him one day
I want to give attention to the host. One of the rare instances of someone who is sincere, interested, and respectful. Thank you who ever you are.
Jason32Bourne
I agree
he actually made FUN of Arnold and didn't look interested at all...
Change The Way You Live right, crossing his arms like that and ending it without a handshake or contact at all...
i agree
Jason32Bourne he's a legend
Arnold: Now, this is only 65lbs
Guy: Only?
😂
Ikr lol
I was like wtf😂 yeah it’s only 65lbs it ain’t heavy at all
@@tidepods3182 Yeah but for a small skinny guy like him, lifting that might be difficult. It's important not to judge people on these things, especially when they're just starting out. Exercise and fitness can be a life changing pursuit, but many feel discouraged if met with embarrassment early on.
@@sergiomendoza6648 You sound like a great person.
UNITDW you’re so right. Bodybuilding can come across as having an elite, even on the level of individual centres. We should all take steps to encourage people to improve their own level of fitness
Arnold is that fitness coach we all wish we had. I think more people in fitness should be as humble as him when training newbies.
I love his honesty. I can see why he turned out to be so successful
